15. Why My Kids Are Keto, Low Carb and Not on a Full Carnivore Diet

Why do my kids eat Low Carb, Keto and not always Carnivore? I go into some science and my thoughts on why leveraging hormetic stress and building the immune system is important. I'd recommend this episode for anyone feeding their families! I get asked very often about my kids’ diet. Yes, they are carnivore some days, keto others but always low carb. So why don’t I feed them 100% carnivore?⠀ In this episode, I talk about my approach to feeding my children (and how I support my clients):⠀ - factors for optimal health⠀ - anti-nutrients⠀ - bio-individuality⠀ - hormetic stress⠀ - immune system and white blood cells⠀ - resistant starch⠀ - ancestral eating⠀ - Weston A Price⠀ - disordered eating ⠀ ——–ADDITIONAL SHOW NOTESThey can be found on the original YouTube post here. ——-MY BOOK**Carnivore Cure**Carnivore Cure provides a step-by-step approach to optimal health while also providing extensive nutritional information and evidence-based support for following a meat-based lifestyle (with hundreds of colored visuals and coveted Nutrition with Judy nutritional graphics). 11. Vitamin C and the Carnivore Diet

How do we get Vitamin C on a Carnivore Diet? What about scurvy? Let's talk all things Vitamin C in this episode. Since making this episode, I have done extensive research into nutrient breakdowns for various meats. Pork belly, salmon, salmon roe, liver and other meats have vitamin C. In fact, 6 ounces of salmon will give you 6.6 mg or 7% of your daily value for vitamin C. As we learn in the episode, carnivores likely do not need as much vitamin C as people that consume a standard American diet since there is minimal glucose fighting for the same uptake receptors.
