These factors include four accelerating factors that increase a person's interest in porn, such as associating porn with pleasure, easy access, using porn to medicate distress, and having difficulty being intimate in relationships. On the other hand, there are four inhibiting factors that cool or diminish a person's passion for porn, such as personally disliking porn, limited contact with porn, feeling sexually secure and satisfied, and wanting emotional intimacy.
