Ep. 76: Postpartum Tips for Naturally Minded Moms
Around the world, the postpartum period is considered to be a sacred and special time during which a mother is born, as well as her baby. Many cultures have special practices and customs that serve to recognize and honor this special time, and women aren't expected to "bounce back" or jump right back into their usual lives. In the US though, we have a long way to go, which is why I'm sopassionate about sharing the practical, quick tips that I personally found to be the most helpful or surprising, to help you feel more prepared for postpartum. My hope is that these tips will help you set realistic, healthy expectations for what your postpartum recovery and transition period should look like (otherwise known as the 4th trimester!) so you can prepare in advance to take good care of both your baby, andyourself. Ep. 75: Preparing for Pregnancy with Sarah Clark
In this episode I'm joined by Sarah Clark, a certified life and health coach, author Fabulously Fertile, the Fabulously Fertile Cookbook, and the Fertility Preparation Program, and host of the Get Pregnant Naturally podcast. We are digging deep into the topic of women's fertility and discussing how women can take a natural, holistic approach in healing and preparing their bodies for healthy pregnancy. When Sarah Clark was 28 years old, she received a diagnosis of premature ovarian failure, accepted this diagnosis and had both her children through in vitro fertilization. Years later she realized the root cause of her infertility was a food intolerance, which has led to her passion for educating and supporting couples in getting functional lab testing and making diet and lifestyle changes that can dramatically improve the chances of a healthy pregnancy and baby by reversing infertility. I hope this episode will be a great, value-packed resource and really encourage you wherever you're at in your fertility journey. Thanks for listening to the Just Enjoy Health Podcast! JEH #69: Ask Dr. Meghan: Candida, SIBO, Gut Dysbiosis, I'm confused!!
On this episode of Ask Dr. Meghan I am unpacking a big question. Elizabeth is basically asking what is the difference between Candida, parasites, SIBO, and gut dysbiosis. Whew! It's a great question and one I am not really going to be able to answer because every body is so very different and requires an individualized treatment plan. Yeast overgrowth treatment fact vs fiction. Same for SIBO, gut dysbiosis, or maybe compare/contrast these conditions. There's so much conflicting info out there, it can be overwhelming. -Elizabeth I hope you enjoy this episode of Ask Dr. Meghan! Don't forget to email me or hop on over to our Facebook Community to ask all your questions and maybe be featured on the next Ask Dr. Meghan episode!
