Welcome to this episode of our podcast, where we will be discussing three practical tips for fat loss. Tip #1: Eat the same nutritious breakfast every day. Fiber is an essential nutrient for weight loss as it helps keep you full and satisfied while also promoting digestive health. KNP453 - The Benefits and Risks of Semaglutide

In this episode, we'll be discussing semaglutide, a medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. We'll be exploring how it works, its benefits, and its potential risks. I was joined by my good friend and personal hormone Dr. Rachell Russell and her lead nurse Jaclyn White.  Segment 1: What is Semaglutide? We'll start by explaining what semaglutide is and how it works. Semaglutide is a type of GLP-1 receptor agonist, which means it mimics the effects of the hormone GLP-1 that's naturally produced by the body. This hormone helps to regulate blood sugar levels, among other things. Semaglutide works by binding to the GLP-1 receptors in the body and increasing their activity, which in turn helps to lower blood sugar levels. Segment 2: Benefits of Semaglutide Next, we'll discuss the benefits of semaglutide. Semaglutide has been shown to be effective in lowering blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. It's also been found to be effective in helping people lose weight, and it's currently the only medication approved by the FDA for both diabetes and obesity. We'll talk about how it works to promote weight loss, and what the research says about its effectiveness. Segment 3: Potential Risks of Semaglutide Finally, we'll discuss the potential risks of semaglutide. Like any medication, semaglutide has some possible side effects, and we'll talk about what those are. We'll also discuss the concerns some people have raised about the long-term safety of semaglutide, particularly in relation to its effects on the thyroid gland.
