The Science of Doing Hard Things - Tony Montgomery

On July 13th, I ruptured both my quad tendons in a powerlifting meet.  This podcast is the first recorded from my home hospital bed and I couldn't think of a better guest for it. In this episode, I sit down with my great friend, former business partner and co-founder of Coaches Corner University, Tony Montgomery.  Tony is a 3rd year PhD in the department of kinesiology, applied health, and recreation at Oklahoma State University. Challenges and Personal Growth - Jaden Lacaria

He has competed in powerlifting in both multi ply and raw categories, achieving multiple pro totals in the 198lbs weight class and he is also nationally qualified in bodybuilding. Jaden's best lifts at 198 raw are 830/450/678 finishing in the Top 10 in the world back to back years (raw and multi ply) and he has been in the top 20 All-Time at 198 with a current Top 5 squat All-Time. He also currently holds the Jr All-Time World Record. Pain, Rehab and Personal Approach - Joel Proskewitz

In this episode of the CCU Podcast, I speak with Joel Proskewitz. Joel Proskewitz is a spinal rehabilitation specialist. He deals primarily with mechanical neck and low back pain and has a special interest in pre/post spinal surgery patients. He is one of only two people in the world to teach for Professor Stuart McGill (Head of spinal biomechanics, University of Waterloo) and travels the world extensively teaching and sharing his experience, understanding and rehabilitation of the human spine to a mix of clinicians, spinal surgeons, and associated professionals. He is the only non-physician to be a permanent member of an elite spinal medical team in London, UK and works closely with surgeons, pain consultants, rheumatologists, and radiologists. He regularly presents and contributes towards complex spinal cases with his medical team.
