(ENG) - #22 – What Causes Heart Disease? Part 1 – Why LDL Is Probably Not The Cause of Heart Disease – With Dr. Malcolm Kendrick

Welcome back! Today I had the pleasure to talk to one of the very controversial figures in regards to heart disease and the association between Apo-B containing lipoptroteins, aka LDL, VLDL, etc. and heart disease. Dr. Malcolm Kendrick who is a family physician from Scotland can be considered a great mentor and teacher as far as I am concerned, since many of the ideas that he brings forward and methods and ways of scientificly approaching a problem, just resonated with me so beautifully that I have been able to extract tremendous value and continue to learn a lot from his work. Malcolm has authored several books like Doctoring Data or his most recent one – The Clot Thickens, he leads a blog on his website https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/ and has published and co-authored quite a significant number of scientific papers many of which were aimed at assessing the controversies and unresolved questions in regards to the pathophysiological processes which fundamentally underlie atherosclerotic plaque formation and, ultimately, heart disease.  In this first part of our conversation we were mostly discussing all the facts and evidence pointing against the presumption of LDL, or Apo-B containing lipoproteins, being the number one driving causal factor behind plaque formation which is usually referred to as cardiovascular disease. Unfortunately, we didn’t quite manage to thoroughly discuss Dr. Kendrick’s hypothesis and explanations which he so beautifully describes in his most recent book and which he established as a result of several decades of constant digging, reading, questioning and exploring for the mere sake of finding something, finding a model that would be incontrovertible, unambiguous and capable of withstanding any criticisms from the other side. A model that would be able to explain virtually every observation and risk factor as far as heart disease is concerned.In our second part we will continue to take apart the standard mainstream Lipid Hypothesis and, in particular, go much deeper into the real pathophysiology behind cardiovascular disease manifesting itself as a heart attack, stroke, etc. Enjoy the great conversation I had today with Dr. Malcolm Kendrick! (ENG) - #21 - Dr. Camilo Karpf and Maxim Pruchnewski Discussing Animal-Based-Diets, the Issues Concerning the Health Care System and How to Best Initiate Radical Change

Enjoy the nice talk I recently had in an Instagram-Live with my good friend Dr. Camilo Karpf, who is a medical doctor from Columbia. Camilo practices in a clinic in Hamburg, Germany and is not only helping patient after patient to reverse chronic disease and come off medication through lifestyle interventions but is also engaged in a number of different projects here in Germany and also in Columbia which among other things includes cooking delicious and nutritious meals for children and similar kinds of endeavour. We had a vehemently satisfying discourse and exchange of ideas regarding the issues and problems that we both encountered in medical school and keep facing in daily life and in our attempts to produce some kind of change in terms of how the health care and patient-treating system is set up. We briefly touch on certain aspects of where exactly the dietary model went wrong and give a quick overview on our dietary approaches. My apologies for the rather inferior and unappropriate sound-quality! Sergio is an insane beast, a true leader who dominates the field of endurance-style calisthenics. His unstoppable drive behind the work he is doing and the mindset with which he keeps approaching his passion for training has been an invaluable inspiration for me as well as many of his followers and students. Our conversation and exchange of ideas yields, as far as I'm concerned, some enormously useful potential for people to be better able to comprehend the mechanisms and value systems which underlie our fundamental state of existence. The discussion turned out to be more philosophical and deep than I intended it to become, however, I believe that it genuinely helped me to better understand the person in front of me and I am genuinely grateful that the discussion went into that direction.
