THE FYX 081: Where Your Attention Goes, Weight Loss May Slow

Coach Krysta is laying it on thick this week with a little tough love in her latest solo episode. We took to social media to ask you, our amazing listeners, a question that would ultimately guide this episode. If you missed it, we’re posing it again for reflection: Ask yourself, “What am I giving too much attention?” What are you giving SO much attention that it’s getting in the way of your fitness and nutrition goals? Krysta shares listener submissions to highlight a path out of these situations. She also explains why we separating our lives from our dieting approach is completely sabotaging our chances at success. And she highlights the power of working with a Coach. We KNOW weight loss is hard. Instead of denying that truth, focus on what you CAN do to make it easier. One option? Hire a coach. THE FYX 080: Growing Together - How Your Relationships Impact Your Ability to Make Change

Krysta's brother got married this weekend and she is all up in her feels about relationships in today's episode: the good and the bad. In reflecting on the wedding ceremony, Coach Krysta shares her thoughts on how our relationships -- romantic, familial, and professional alike -- either support our growth as individuals, or how they stifle our ability to do so. Krysta specificially talks about how challenging it can be early on in relationships to have the tough conversations -- the conversations that are truly required to determine whether someone else, an environment, a group, etc. is in alignment with our wants and dreams. Krysta shares her own learnings from previous relationships and poses three questions that might help you in determining if a relationship(s) is in alignment with your health and wellness goals -- both physically and mentally. If you'd like to journal on or consider the questions for your own life, check them out below! 1. PERSONAL VALUES: Am I making time for the activities that are important to my health and wellness in the midst of the responsibilities of this relationship 2. ALIGNMENT OF VALUES: What kind of emphasis or value does this person, these people / this culture / place on physical activity, stress management, and eating healthy, nourishing foods for his / her / their body(ies)? How IMPORTANT is that to THEM? 3. EMOTIONAL HEALTH: Do I feel like my best self when I spend time with this person? Reminder to be careful here: Someone else does not MAKE you happy, anxious, sad, etc. - we should take responsibilty for our own emotions and instead consider whether this person / these people / this relationship adds to our happiness. Or is the time spent with them interfering with it? September's nearly over, Fall is officially here! Labor Day has come and gone, and summer is over. Sounds like the perfect time to lean in: we already know weight loss is hard. Instead of denying that truth, focus on what you CAN do to make it easier. One option? Hire a coach. Only limited spots available on the Fitness FYX coaching roster for the rest of 2022! Interested? Connect with Krysta below to learn more. THE FYX 079: Ditch Your Fixed Mindset If You Want Lasting Results

In another latest solo episode, Krysta talks about ditching the “all or nothing” and fixed mindset. A recent injury had her rethinking her approach in the gym and choosing between taking 2 weeks off of training vs. getting creative with equipment and bodyweight exercises. The experience is parallel to a lot of what we see when it comes to nutrition -- this episode is for you if: - You think there's only one way to approach weight loss - You're quick to jump on diet trends just because they've "worked" for other people in your life - You're too hard on yourself about having a "bad" summer and are convinced you need to start over now that it's September Speaking of September: we've OFFICIALLY ARRIVED. Labor Day has come and gone, and summer is over. Sounds like the perfect time to lean in: we already know weight loss is hard. Instead of denying that truth, focus on what you CAN do to make it easier. One option? Hire a coach. Several spots are available on the Fitness FYX coaching roster. THE FYX 078: Confronting the “Fuck It” Moments

In her latest solo episode, Krysta talks about the moments when it feels a lot easier to choose the path that WON’T bring us closer to our goals—what she calls the moments when we say to ourselves, “Fuck it — I’ll eat whatever I want, skip my workout, have that extra glass of wine.” You know those moments we’ve all experienced. Krysta shares WHY these moments happen and how we can reframe them. She reviews the benefits of food tracking and challenges the critics who protest that it can encourage disordered eating patterns. She also reviews the power of planning in advance and how some front-end planning saves you more time and energy in the long run. September is right around the corner--the time of year when plenty of us like to "get back into our routine." Sounds like the perfect time to lean in: we already know weight loss is hard. Instead of denying that truth, focus on what you CAN do to make it easier. One option? Hire a coach. Several spots are available on the Fitness FYX coaching roster. THE FYX 072: How to Stay Committed to Your Fitness Goals All Summer Long

Coach Krysta is fresh off a week-long vacation that has her feeling recharged and reflective on how we define what health and wellness really looks like--or "should" look like--in our day-to-day lives. Using her own personal experience, Krysta provides examples of how she approaches nutrition while she's traveling, some of which includes: - Clearly defining your specific goals to assess what is and isn't worth it - Focusing on food options that are unique to that destination--think, 'the best of' that given city, country, etc. - Prioritizing protein early in the day - Intentionally tracking your meals for awareness vs. trying to stay within your macronutrient goals She also discusses how relationships, being present in the moment, and unplugging from the rest of the world in order to decompress are important components in improving your health. Krysta acknowledges how challenging the summertime can be in staying the course--especially because we all tend to be a little bit more social. Instead of shying away from your goals, now's the time to lean in: we already know weight loss is hard. Instead of denying that truth, focus on what you CAN do to make it easier. One option?
