Strength In Adversity with OYNB Coach Michelle Sabourin

Taking Yourself To The Next Level; The Power of Fasting

This week on the One Year No Beer Podcast Ruari speaks on the many benefits of fasting.    Fasting can be a great tool for weight loss, fighting insulin resistance, and changing up your eating habits.  Fasting has been shown to reduce insulin resistance, which means your body will be more able to use the fat you already have stored for energy. Insulin resistance is a condition where your body has trouble using insulin correctly. Insulin resistance is a precursor to type 2 diabetes, which can happen when you have high levels of sugar in your blood for too long.   Fasting can be a great tool for changing up your routine and being mindful of your eating habits.
