#130 - S5E10 - From Army Officer to Helping Veterans Find Purpose
Send us a textAfter his military service, Jon Snider experienced a “less-than-ideal” transition into the civilian workforce. It would be this experience that would later motivate him to support transitioning service members in the Greater Nashville community and go on to apply and be selected to be the inaugural chapter chair of the HCA Healthcare Nashville-Corporate Veterans Colleague Network. As the new program manager of military affairs for HCA Healthcare, Jon aspires to honor the legacy that Avery King left for the organization by elevating the programming to strengthen workforce pipelines through the veteran and transitioning service member communities, increase collaboration with community partners that align with the vision of the military affairs program, and advance the professional development of internal veteran and military spouse colleagues in order to enhance the support of the HCA Healthcare mission. Jon holds many military and civilian honors to include a master’s of science in healthcare quality and safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, 2021 graduate from the American Medical Association’s Health Systems Science Scholars Program, 2020 graduate from the HCA Healthcare Leadership Institute Academy, and a bachelor’s of science in community and public health from Middle Tennessee State University. Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and two children (ages 4 & 1), by exploring hiking trails of middle Tennessee, attending sporting events like Nashville Sounds and Nashville Predators, and enjoying live music experiences that Nashville has to offer.

Send us a text Michelle Adamolekun is an Executive Vice President and the Chief People & Culture Officer at Cone Health, a 13,000+ employee hospital and health system in Greensboro, NC. From Michelle... "when I moved to mission based health care, because it was so mission focused, and it's really about being a part of something bigger and greater than yourself, I was able to get that and bring my whole self to my role in the healthcare environment. So, you know, I really see it as a calling for me at this stage, as it relates to that. My mission truly is to live and serve. And by that I mean, living is how well I can navigate life's challenges, day in and day out, because life throws a lot of things at us. But while we're doing it, uplifting, inspiring and really supporting and serving others at the same time, and so, you know, most folks always assume well, you're an HR, you must love people. Yes, I do like people, but no, I actually enjoy helping people to help themselves. And that's really what draws me to healthcare and to human resources."Follow the podcast on IG @theboandlukeshow Follow on LinkedIn

#123 - S5E3 - Get Everyone Moving in the Same Direction with Daniel Gandarilla!
Send us a textWhen it comes to change management, alignment is key. And that's where Daniel Gandarilla comes in. As a change management practitioner, he helps organizations get everyone moving in the same direction - toward a common goal."The first step is always to understand the underlying philosophies and where there is common ground where everybody is aligned," says Gandarilla. "Once that's established, you can see what needs to be done to take a step forward."One of the first questions Daniel asks is "how much of this change is dependent upon people doing something differently? Then, what can we really tolerate in one change at a time given everything, you know... all the big aspirations, to get people moving in the right direction."
