10. Matt's Story

In today’s podcast, I’m sharing an interview with my client, Matt Bruner.   When I first met Matt, he was exhausted, burnt out, and *very* dissatisfied with his job. In fact, he told me on our initial consultation that he’d already decided to quit; it was just a matter of when. Perhaps you can relate?   In our time together, Matt changed his work habits + his thoughts so significantly that he actually felt he didn’t *have* to quit anymore. He wasn’t burnt out anymore, he had a bunch more free time, and his job was sustainable, in terms of hours and energy. It was such a cool, dramatic turnaround.   Matt is also just a really deep + thoughtful guy, and our conversation also covers pets’ messes, relating to one’s partner, and more.   I wanted to share this interview, because if you are in a similar boat — tired and burnt out and working too much at your job — Matt has a bunch of insights that I think will be helpful to you.   Subscribe to my newsletter for encouraging + helpful insights every Sunday: katieseaver.com/newsletter   Follow me on Instagram: @thisiskatieseaver   Learn more about working with me, or just learn more about my background + why I became a coach: katieseaver.com   Learn more about Matt Bruner: website | instagram

8: My Story, Part 1

Recently, I realized that people who are new to my work might want to know a bit more *about* me.  Like, who is this person who has this podcast? What’s her deal?   So in this two-part series, I’ll be sharing the story of how + why I became a coach. I’ll also be sharing some of my core personal struggles + major moments of growth — because my personal journey is a big part of the reason I’m a coach today.   In this episode, I’m starting from the beginning: talking about when things started to break down in my life (and the three very specific things I struggled with) — plus the first moment of growth that changed everything for me.   I hope that in hearing my story, you’ll get to know me better, and find some lessons that can help you, too.   And even more so, I hope it will help you feel less alone in whatever you are struggling with.   Subscribe to my newsletter for encouraging + helpful insights every Sunday: katieseaver.com/newsletter   Follow me on Instagram: @thisiskatieseaver   Learn more about working with me, or just learn more about my background + why I became a coach: katieseaver.com

7: Dating Q&A with a special guest: my husband Gil

From the moment I decided to launch a podcast, I wanted to bring on my husband Gil on as a guest. He. Is genuinely one of the most deep + insightful people I’ve ever met.   He happens to also have some unorthodox + really interesting perspectives on dating.   So, on todays’ podcast, Gil + I answer some great newsletter listener questions about dating. You’ll get a peek into some moments in our relationship (including the *very* unusual thing he said to me, in our very first phone conversation) — plus ideas on everything from online dating profile creation, to jealousy about exes, to what to do if your partner needs alone time but you want to connect at the end of the day.   Subscribe to my newsletter for encouraging + helpful insights every Sunday: katieseaver.com/newsletter   Follow me on Instagram: @thisiskatieseaver   Learn more about working with me, or just learn more about my background + why I became a coach: katieseaver.com

4: Sunny’s Story

Today I’m interviewing my former client, Sunny, about her journey. She has so many great insights about being coached + life, more generally, including:    Sunny’s initial impressions of me: kind of hokey; “This is white people shit.”    Why Sunny used to get anxious on her birthday — and why she doesn’t anymore.   The results of coaching that she expected — and the results she got that still shock her (and me, frankly)   As Sunny says: “we’re so often asked what we want. But have you really answered that question in a way that is authentic for yourself?”   Sunny has. I loved hearing her share her story - and I think she has so many great insights that will help you, too.    Follow @thisiskatieseaver   Learn more at katieseaver.com

2: On Authenticity

Authenticity, along with energy, is at the core of the work I do with my clients. It's tempting to think that you don't need this topic, because you already know yourself. But I've found that most of my clients can be more skillful in their authenticity — and that doing so significantly improves their lives. Listen for more about how I define authenticity, and how you can cultivate more of it.   Follow @thisiskatieseaver   Learn more at katieseaver.com
