Kimberly Olson:
Hello, everyone. Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. My name is Kimberly Olson, and I have special guest, Kc Rossi on with us today. Welcome Kc.
Kc Rossi:
Thank you so much, Kimberly. I'm thrilled to be here with you.
Kimberly Olson:
I am so excited. So my nickname was KC in high school because it was Kimberly Coventry. And so all my coaches and all my friends called me KC. So you're always going to have a warm place in my heart.
Kc Rossi:
Oh, I love that. Mine are my initials for Karen Christine, and yeah, I've been going by Kc since I was a teenager.
Kimberly Olson:
That is so fun. Oh, that's so cool. Well, I already saw, like, I read your bio and we have so much in common, so I know my audience is going to love you. You are a mindset and leadership coach. You're also the creator of an amazing podcast called Women Developing Brilliance, The Spirit of Business. And I think it's so important for us to not only give that nudge to people, to step into their brilliance, but be okay with it and talk about it and focus on it. And that just lights me up to no other. So since you may be new to some of my listeners, do you mind sharing a bit about yourself, how you got into entrepreneurship, specifically coaching and just bring us up to speed?
Kc Rossi:
Yeah, absolutely. My pleasure. So I have been a fan of business ever since I was little, ever since I was like, really, 13 and was known for the town nanny. And really got hooked into helping people and serving, and then just from a young age, had like so much interest in marketing and visibility. So it was really only natural to continue that. I don't think that I'm built to work for anyone else. I started my own corporation at 19 and with my best friend, we started nine different businesses in a four year period. And they really ranged, I mean, they were everything from original oil paintings to nutrition counseling. I mean, it was like all over the board, to exterior house painting.
Kimberly Olson:
Oil painting to nutrition!
Kc Rossi:
Yeah, totally. I mean, like we were painting outside houses, like it was just, it was intense. And our 10th business is really, it hit the sweet spot. Pun intended. We were actually making handmade confections and selling to upscale gift and gourmet department stores and retailers internationally.
And we did that for 17 years, and then we sold that. And from there, I really wanted to pivot into what was going to feel more in alignment to me. And this is when I really started to realize I could be an integrated person. I don't have to be like buttoned up, black and white, nine to five and then live in color.

Hey, Goal Digger. Kimberly Olson here, welcome back for another episode. Today, we're going to talk about whether or not you're leaving money on the table by skipping out on Facebook lives. And this is a controversial topic because I know you know you know you need to do them, but it's wondering what to talk about, right? How to get consistent with it, how to get more people watching it? I totally get it. I've been there done that, but it's been a huge piece of my business growing at the level it's grown in the last few years. So we're going to really dive into that today. But first, a listener review from Michelle. She says, 'Kimberly is inspiring and very full of knowledge. She teaches you on a simple platform for everyone to understand and implement immediately. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone". Well, thank you, Michelle.
I so appreciate it. And please leave a review, send me a screenshot. I'd love to get that from you and give you a little gift as a thank you. So, as we talk about this episode, I want to challenge you. If you feel resistance around this topic, that is just a limiting belief. There's some story you're telling yourself that is holding you back. Whenever you feel resistance, there's something to it. You need to explore that. That resistance is a barrier. It's a wall. It needs to be broken. Okay? It's a ceiling. You need to smash through that ceiling, because it's a glass ceiling. And that thing that you feel resistance around is often the thing that you need to break through to have your breakthrough. So as you listen to what we we're going to talk about right now, I want to encourage you to be open-minded. Don't even worry about whether or not you can get the, you know, to become brave to hit that go-live button.
If that's been the struggle or you're thinking, "Oh, my kids are home. We're doing, you know, e-learning, there's no way I could go live", right? Oh gosh. I'm telling ya'. I gotta' just get in your face a little bit. That's a story, and it's not serving you. So let that ish go. You can find the time. You can find the place. You can find the topic. It's just you saying to yourself, "okay, I'm going to figure this out". But let's first talk about, are you leaving money on the table? Well, if you look at how much social media has changed in the last few years, the number one place that there's been growth is video. And it is the number one resource given by YouTube, Facebook, Instagram. It's their biggest investment that they are making in these platforms because video gets higher engagement.
It's better for your algorithm. It brings things to life for your audience. And it's just going to really allow you to leverage the platforms, social media, to be able to grow your business.

Hello, and welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. My name is Kimberly Olson, your hostess, and today I have special guest, one of my Goal Digger students, Carla MacQuarrie. How are you girlfriend?
Carla MacQuarrie:
I am awesome. How are you?
Kimberly Olson:
Good. I'm so excited to have you on, and I'm so thankful that we've connected that very first call that we did together on your private coaching session. I was just like, "Oh my gosh. You're just operating at a really high level and crushing in multiple areas". And just so, so smart and have so much knowledge. So I'm excited to share you with my audience. So since a lot of them may be new to you and haven't heard, because we have listeners from all over the world, can you tell everyone a little bit about yourself, your background, what you do and what got you into entrepreneurship?
Carla MacQuarrie:
Okay, awesome. I'd love that. So I think I always loved these stories when I connect with people that are entrepreneurs now. I think they usually had something right back from childhood. So like my very first paper route. And I find so many entrepreneurs now, they actually had a paper route at one point in their life. So I love that. But interestingly, I was brought up in the kind of public sector world. So my dad was in the military and my mom was in the public sector. So just going into entrepreneurship was a real deviation from what my family trajectory always looked like. So I always kind of resisted it, even though I really felt like it was something that I wanted to do. So basically when I got started with the company that I'm with, now, it wasn't jumping into it for the business. I truly fell in love with the product. And then I had this opportunity when I realized, "okay, I was telling everybody and their dog about this product. Jeepers, I could actually turn this into an income opportunity". And I think that when people can really connect at the level where they fall in love with something and they really feel like they're sharing it as opposed to selling it, then they are able to inspire other people to do the same thing. And that's really where I've been able to turn it up from just sharing the product, to sharing the opportunity.
Kimberly Olson:
That's awesome. I love it. I think that it's so funny that when people accidentally fall into entrepreneurship, it's always the best stories, you know, like someone's like, "I really wish there was this thing. So I made this widget and it just like goes crazy". And that's kind of what happened with you, you love the product so much and you were just sharing naturally. And I think that's so cool. So how long have you been doing what you do?
Carla MacQuarrie:
I've been with my company for six years now, and this is my only company. It's truly my first exposure to any of this.

148: How to Fill Up Your Facebook Group FAST!
When I look back at the last three years of my business, aside from going live on Facebook, the thing that really allowed me to monetize quickly, get to six figures at record speed, and be able to fully roll out a complete brand and develop amazing, loyal Goal Diggers as followers has been Facebook groups! I get a ton of questions about building up and leading Facebook groups, so I know this is something y'all want to know more about. So let's dive in together!

Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. And I'm excited to dive into how to fill up your Facebook group fast. I was just doing a group coaching for Six Figure Breakthrough Business Academy and afterwards I did office hours where students can pop in my virtual office and ask whatever they wanted. And the majority of the questions were around Facebook groups. So I thought this is such a relevant topic, because a lot of you are working on focusing on that value and being able to find a way to serve your audience in a more intimate, high-touch way. So this will be really great for that. First a listener review, short and sweet. Lisa says "Kimberly's content and energy make her really fun and easy to listen to". So thank you so much, Lisa. That really is the best compliment, and so nice of you to say.
And for those that love this podcast, the best compliment you can give me is a review. So please take time to download this episode and make sure to do that pretty, please. All right. So let's talk about Facebook groups. So when I look back, aside from going live on Facebook, the thing that really allowed me to monetize quickly, get to six figures at record speed, and be able to, you know, fully roll out a complete brand and develop these amazing loyal Goal Diggers as followers. They truly have become my friends. I mean, some of my best friends I've met through my Facebook groups. My first clients, my first students, people on my team, I've met all of them through my Facebook groups. So why I'm so passionate about it is because it allowed me, someone who had no following on Facebook, didn't have an Instagram account wasn't anywhere else on social media, to be able to grow my business to a million dollar business from my cell phone.
It just blows my mind. And when I'm working with students, a lot of times, people don't quite understand how to really grow that Facebook group fast. Like how do you actually do that? So I've been able to do it. I've got, let's see maybe five groups. Oh, for those listening, please pause. Elise has just woken up. Oh my goodness. If any of you, parents can relate, I swear. It's like she finally gets into this good rhythm and then growth spurt, and she's like waking up multiple times. Like, oh my gosh, Mama needs a break. Y'all. So, anyways. With Facebook groups, the thing that people are wanting to do is to grow them fast. So I was saying, I've been able to successfully launch, I think, five groups now that have had anywhere between 3000 to 18,000 members in them at the time of this recording.

Hey, Goal Digger, Kimberly Olson here back for another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. Today we're going to talk about how to recruit a hundred people this year. Uh huh, I said it. And you know what, it's my goal this year. But I also was averaging that this past year. I didn't start at the beginning of the year with my team, so the average was that, and you know what? There are certain things that I did. And I'm going to share that with you today. Okay? I really want you thinking bigger, but I also want you to think about what you need to change with the way you're showing up to be the type of person to recruit a hundred people. Okay. It is learned my friend. I was a horrible recruiter my first six to nine months. It was just really bad. But first, a listener review from Leanne.
Leanne, you're just such a sweet, sweet person to me. She says, "do you need guidance? Do you need to know what to do to take your business to the next level? Do you need someone positive that can mentor you and encourage you and show you how to change your world for the better? If so, follow this podcast. Thank you, Kimberly. I don't know what I would do without you". You're so sweet. Thank you, Leanne, I appreciate you. All right. So when it comes to recruiting a hundred people, you know, you might be saying, and this is just a bonus tip. Honestly, it's not even what I had planned to share with you, but you've got to get your mindset right? I mean, if you're sitting here and going, "Oh, there's no way I could never do that. I recruited no one last year. I suck," these limiting beliefs we tell ourselves. Then you've already closed the door on that before the year has even started.
Okay, we are at the beginning of a fresh year. You literally have a blank slate in front of you. Why not be that person that has that comeback story? Why not be that person who's maybe been focused on your team, and now it's your time. Maybe you say, "you know what? I finally got those systems in place Kimberly's always talking about, I'm going to focus on my own book of business. I'm going to focus on my social media efforts, my posture, my online presence, and really up level my recruiting". Does that sound good to you? If so, stick with us because we're going to go over five things that you need to get really good at. Okay? Like you really need to rock these things.
Number one is you need to lead with value and not have an outcome. So I was just talking to one of my students in my program and she had her best month in November. She was number one in sales for the company. And the company has been around for a bit. So this was a big deal. And she got into the program because she was not recruiting. She had a pretty good sized team.

Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. My name is Kimberly Olson, and I'm so excited to be interviewing Liberty. Is it Santiago? Is that how you say it? Okay, awesome. She is this amazing rock star entrepreneur that totally caught my eye when we were connecting on social media. She's absolutely encompassing the life of abundance and creating the life that you want by design. And I just loved everything I saw. I said, "I've got to get you on the podcast and share all your knowledge with my people". So Liberty, since a lot of them may or may not know you, will you please bring us up to speed? What is your background, your story? What got you into entrepreneurship?
Liberty Santiago:
Yeah. Well, thank you so much. First of all, I wanted to say, it's just such an honor to be able to align with really powerful women in the entrepreneurial world. So thank you again for having me here in this space. And as far as my background goes, I have 17 years experience in the dental industry and I was a surgical assistant for an oral surgery office. And I took on many roles within that 17 years as a receptionist, as an employee trainer. And my last position held for seven years, the last seven years was a financial coordinator. And I got really, really fascinated with numbers and making my income double through a bonus system. But I hit a ceiling and that income ceiling, it's really frustrating when you have a team of people and you can't go past a certain point unless everyone's on board. And we just didn't have the mindset or the leadership within the particular space that I was in.
Liberty Santiago:
And I thought about all kinds of different ways of pivoting within the dental industry and maybe getting a different job, a different role. And the only way that I felt would be best suited for my talents would be to help people on a really deep level, and not necessarily in the dental space. But of course that's where I'm an expert at, so I was open to that as well. So I just ended up quitting my job in January 2020, right before the pandemic. And I said, "God, take my hand lead the way. I trust you a hundred percent. I've tried to do things my way for years and years. And went through a nasty divorce, went through some dependency on alcohol and prescriptions and being a single mom. Plus being in this relationship that I was in with my ex-husband, and then transitioning into single mom again, it was very rough. And I had always been seeking answers to my path and my purpose.
Liberty Santiago:
And I just felt like the one thing I wasn't giving up was my career and money. And I thought, you know, well maybe that's the last thing I need to shed is my career.

144: This is How You Make Your Insta Profile POP & Stop the SCROLL!
Are you creating eye-catching social media posts that make people want to know what you're up to? Hey there, Goal Digger! Kimberly Olson, back for another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. In this episode, we're going to talk about exactly what you need to do to make your Instagram profile pop, and stop the scroll. Now you can use this for Facebook, so if you're going "well, I'm not on Instagram". Don't worry, I've got you covered. We can use this for any platform. Okay. But first, a listener review. This is actually from one of our students. She says, "just popping in here to say thank you for all that you've poured into me. My business literally exploded last month in so many ways, highest personal volume ever, three new recruits". She said, "I've never done that without some sort of joining special, but we didn't have one. I have girls who saw the explosion in my group asking me about joining. I rank advanced and I earned my first ever five figure check".
So, she's a rock star. Congratulations to another one of our Six Figure Breakthrough Business Academy students. Love hearing those success stories. You have no idea, like it like lights up my whole life. All right. So let's get into it. So there are several steps that you can take to really "wow!" your profile, but also use this across all social media platforms. First off is you need a solid profile picture. Now, what I want you to do is I want a headshot. The only time I usually like to see a waist up is if there's some kind of pasture around it. So say you were recording a podcast or you were speaking on stage. Something where there's a bit more to the picture itself, but otherwise I would just do a headshot. Selfies work. Mine is a selfie. I've tried to get my following, my audience, to outvote that picture several times with professional photography, and they always pick the selfie.
So selfies really do work. So we want smiling. Okay. I've been doing all these social media audits lately from inside of our program. And I cannot tell you how many people have- they have posture in the picture, but it's more of a, I don't know, it's just not as inviting. I think that having a smile or some warmth to the profile picture is very important. Also, you want to have the same profile picture across all platforms to create consistency in that brand awareness. So when I say brand, I do not do not mean brand like McDonald's. I mean, brand as in you. Who you are, and how you're showing up on social media. So we want some consistency across the different platforms and remember, most people are on mobile. So if they've got their cell phone and that little profile picture is teeny tiny, tiny in messenger, we need to make sure that they can see your face and see that it's you.

Hey, Goal Digger! Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. My name is Kimberly Olson, your hostess with hopefully the mostest, and for this episode I’m actually going to let you come and listen in on a live coaching session with my girl Caitlin. Caitlin Wheeler is the creator of Boss Babe Kitchen. She’s been a student in Goal Digger University for quite some time, and we had a chance to get on a strategy session together. And she agreed to let me record it, and share it with you guys, which is so cool! She’s just an amazing human, and I’m excited to see her grow. She’s had so much growth in her social media, and her attraction marketing in her business, but just also personally. Her personal development has gone through the roof. So stay tuned, listen in, because you’re going to absolutely love this episode.
Kimberly Olson:
All right. So we have Caitlin Wheeler here. We're going to take the audio for this, not the visual, so don't worry. And she has agreed to share our strategy session today. This will be really cool too, because we can come back and listen and go remember when, right. So I'm excited. You're big on vision casting like I am. And you have a goal to get to a point where you're building that legacy and residual making 500,000 a month. That's your goal?
Caitlin Wheeler:
Yes.
Kimberly Olson:
Okay. I love it. Okay. Awesome. All right. So right now you've got your network marketing income, your Airbnb income, and then anything else?
Caitlin Wheeler:
That's it.
Kimberly Olson:
That's great. Multiple streams of income.
Caitlin Wheeler:
Yes. My goal is to do the 500,000, obviously a month with multiple streams of income. Yeah.
Kimberly Olson:
Okay. 'Cause I can totally see you doing coaching and stuff like that down the road. Do you want to do that?
Caitlin Wheeler:
Yes.
Kimberly Olson:
Okay. Were you going to say something?
Caitlin Wheeler:
I was going to say that at first I was like, "no, you know, I would never want to get into coaching. Network Marketing is all I need. And that came a lot from the leadership that I had, kind of just that old school leadership that was like "network marketing is all you need! Focused completely on this". And when I started really diving into Goal Digger University and just even your free content that you put out on YouTube, I was like, "I am totally selling not only myself and my family short, but also all the people that I could impact".

Hey Goal Digger, Kimberly Olson here, back for another episode of The Goal Digger girl. Today, we are going to talk about following up like a boss. All right. If you want more conversations, more sales, which really is the name of the game, you have to learn how to follow up the right way. You can't just keep saying, "Hey, you want to order? You ready to order? Did you watch the video?". That doesn't work anymore. We have to be strategic with the way that we follow up. So I'm going to spill the tea in this episode and tell you exactly what I've done to create an amazing follow-up game that has allowed me to be the number two recruiter for 2020 at my level in my company, I'm going to share all the secrets and more in this episode. But first a listener review from one of our Six Figure Breakthrough Business Academy students. It says @The Goal Digger Girl, this is the best program ever. You have given me hope and encouragement that I needed. I needed to build on social, and you showed me how to do it in simple and easy ways. Thank you so much". Well, thank you student. I appreciate that. I don't have the person's name on here, but thank you so much. We appreciate you. And we are excited to continue to have amazing students go through our program. Make sure you connect with me for more information.
So let's talk about following up like a boss. The reason why you don't want to just keep following up with people is because if you are not having a reason to follow up with people, it can be annoying, right? Like have you ever had crickets or you just felt awkward and you didn't know how to reach back out without it being weird, right? So what I've noticed with entrepreneurs and working with so many students now, we've had thousands and thousands of students go through our programs, is that they are not organized, right?
It's just not our strength. Entrepreneurs tend to be creative, we're kind of off onto the next thing. We get distracted really easy on social media and this can pose a little bit of a problem. Okay. So what you want to do is you want to get into the habit of always securing that next step and you'll never drop the ball. Okay. Remember, more conversations equals more money. Now this is real conversations. You can't just get stuck in the friend zone, right? So they need to know what you do. You need to ask the question. If they've tried the product before, would they like to take a look at it if you get into a conversation about the business side, can you send them some info? Which is really, really important. And when you have a strong follow-up game, you're not going to drop any leads.
I was reading, I think it was in "Go Pro" and he was talking to- it's kind of an older book, but there's some good principles in there. And he was talking about, and I think this is just sales in general, but he said a third of sales or third of leads are never followed up on. How crazy is that? A third of them. So just think, you could have a 33% increase today. And the amount of people you have to talk to, if you just were organized. I mean, seriously. Now, I love using Trello.
