From Triathlon to HYROX Elite (interview with Dena Hogan)
In this video I speak with Dena Hogan - one of the great HYROX athletes who was part of the Elite 15 race at the 2022 HYROX World Championships in Las Vegas (qualifying along with her husband, Tom Hogan, who was part of the Men’s race).
Prior to discovering HYROX, Dena was a top-level road runner and triathlete. In this discussion we talk about her transition from primarily endurance-based sports into hybrid racing, and how she approaches training (and nutrition) for HYROX. It’s a really interesting discussion that will be beneficial to anyone competing in HYROX, especially if they come from a triathlon / endurance background.
