Time Place Space for Important Conversations

Today we delve into the crucial topic of effective communication and influence in important conversations. I share one of the greatest communication tools I've ever learned—time, place, and space. This insightful concept has significantly impacted my personal and professional relationships and has made a noticeable difference in my enrollment and influencing skills.Diana Bonici, a brilliant angel on Earth, mentor, and relationship coach, taught me the power of time, place, and space in improving communication in my marriage. Even as a coach and communication expert, I've recognized the value of seeking external guidance to enhance my subjective conversations. As I reflect on the upcoming release of the Rising Leader handbook, I emphasize the significance of time, place, and space in various settings, including personal and business relationships. The concept of time, place, and space is a game-changer when navigating difficult conversations and aiming to influence change. It involves assessing the right timing, suitable location, and the mental readiness of all involved parties before engaging in critical discussions. It's essential to evaluate whether you are in the right mental space to communicate effectively and whether the other party is receptive to the conversation. This approach has transformed how I approach influencing and enrollment, personally and professionally."Time, place, space, if you take the time, whether it's in your personal relationships, your business relationships, it's just a game changer in how your influencing skills and your enrollment skills will land." – Mark SilvermanThis week on Rising Leader:·     Assess the timing, location, and mental readiness for important conversations in personal and professional settings.·     Eliminate external distractions and create a conducive space for meaningful discussions.·     Recognize and respect the preferred communication styles and processing pace of others.·     Evaluate your own mental state and emotional investment before engaging in influential conversations.·     Understand the impact of your message and ensure clarity and preparedness for effective communication.·     Implement the time, place, and space concept to enhance influencing and enrollment skills in various relationships.·     Embrace the use of external support and guidance to improve subjective and invested conversations.·     Seek continual improvement in communication and influence to become a more effective leader.  Grab Your Advanced Copy of The Rising Leader HandbookDo you find yourself rising through your company's ranks so fast that you wish you had a manual to become an effective leader? Skydiving In The Office - It Doesn't Have to Be Soul Crushing

Do you feel stuck in a soul-crushing job? Maybe you work in a corporate office or are an entrepreneur trying to build a business, but you no longer have that drive and passion that once drove you to push forward. In the corporate world, there is a stigma that all corporate jobs are – or eventually become – soul-crushing. But it doesn’t have to be that way. In this episode, I discuss the stigma often associated with working in the corporate world and explain why I don’t believe anything has to be considered soul-crushing. I discuss how shifting your perspective on your current situation enables you to feel more free and joyful and the importance of living in the moment to set yourself free of these negative feelings. I explain how speaking your truth, asking for what you want, and setting boundaries can help you feel alive and help you reconnect with your true self. I also explain the difference between those ‘soul-crushing’ feelings and having the desire to do something different as well as explain how you can begin to live in the moment and start ‘skydiving in the office.’ “Everything’s an opportunity to grow. Everything’s an opportunity to be alive.
