Level Up Your Career With Amberly Lago
This week's episode I’m bringing back one of my favorite coffee sessions with one of my favorite guests, Amberly Lago. If you’re looking for that extra push to achieve your goals this year, this is the episode for you. After surviving a life-altering motorcycle accident, Amberly's story is a testament to resilience, motivation, and driving results to make your dream life a reality. In our conversation, she shares her personal keys to resilience, the importance of wise counsel over mere opinions, and knowing when to persevere versus granting yourself grace to let things go. We delve into celebrating small victories, building a following on social media from scratch, and recognizing the need for grit and grace in entrepreneurship and in life. Tactics To Build Resilience With Tatiana Kolovou
Resilience requires self-advocacy. In this episode our guest Tatiana Kolovou, teaches us how to be our own advocates, master the art of “learned optimism” and how to practice rejection. (because that’s key to being resilient!) She shared tips for us to identify our own strengths and how to say no when opportunities don’t align. As our resilience is constantly being tested these reminders were just what I needed! Be sure to step outside your comfort zone this week and remember rejection is just part of the process. Mini-Workshop: 4 Types Of Mentors You Need
One of the best things I did for my career was defining what mentors I need, want and have. From this came my “4 Mentor Method” that’s been featured in Forbes, Inc Magazine and of course on LinkedIn. In this mini-workshop, I break down what a mentor actually is, how to find mentors for each category, and most importantly how to utilize their knowledge and your relationship as you learn and grow in your career. I share the biggest mistake I see when it comes to mentorship (hint: what’s the difference between a mentor and an advocate?) and share a handy dandy list to help you brainstorm names for each of the 4 types. You can see all written notes here on my website if you’re more of a visual person like me. Whether you’re a new graduate, a leader looking to level up or a fresh face in your industry, this session is for you!
