Gordon is a rockstar when it comes to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and encourages organizations to “Rework Work” and move toward inclusive and enjoyable workplaces. Her LinkedIn Learning course Unconscious Bias has been a huge success and her weekly newsletter Lead With Inclusion offers nuggets of wisdom in every article. Level Up Your Career With Amberly Lago

This week's episode I’m bringing back one of my favorite coffee sessions with one of my favorite guests, Amberly Lago. This episode originally aired the end of 2021 but I feel it’s just as relevant (if not more!) as we navigate the final stretch of 2023. If you’re looking for that extra push to achieve your goals this year, this is the episode for you. After surviving a life-altering motorcycle accident, Amberly's story is a testament to resilience, motivation, and driving results to make your dream life a reality. In our conversation, she shares her personal keys to resilience, the importance of wise counsel over mere opinions, and knowing when to persevere versus granting yourself grace to let things go. We delve into celebrating small victories, building a following on social media from scratch, and recognizing the need for grit and grace in entrepreneurship and in life. This episode was filled with insights and actionable tips to help navigate both business and life’s inevitable challenges. Notes: 06:11 Celebrating Small Victories15:52 Counsel vs Opinions20:04 Building a Following From Nothing24:33 Recognizing When You Need Grit vs Grace28:55 Entrepreneurship & Boundaries39:39 Advice On Being a Beginner42:52 Speed RoundIf you loved this episode you should check out this episode Goal Setting With Kristina Paider If you enjoyed today’s episode, please:1.)
