The Dream World
Amina
The Dream World Podcast is about focusing on sleep & dreams to better your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. It is an interactive podcast, where anyone can join the conversation about exploring consciousness. Our goal is to bridge the gap between science and spirituality and normalize talking about dreams. We cover a variety of tips and topics on how to take care of the mind and body both in waking life and in the dream world. With an open mind, we investigate stories, anecdotes, research studies, myths, facts and everything in between, in order to explore the universe & all its mysteries🧠🪐 We love talking to oneironauts (dream travelers) and learning about their experiences with lucid dreaming and other out-of-body-experiences. ⛈ To join our community, go to https://thedreamworldpodcast.com/💡How can we learn from our dreams and apply it to our waking life? We as humans spend an entire THIRD of our lives asleep, where we sleepwalk through our dreams just as mindlessly as we walk through life. In our dreams, we visit another dimension called The Dream World. Wake up. Pay attention. 👩🏽🚀 Dreams are gifts that have a lot to teach us. Even nightmares can be transformative. “Lucid dreaming has considerable potential for promoting personal growth and self-development, enhancing self-confidence, improving mental and physical health, facilitating creative problem solving and helping you to progress on the path to self-mastery”.-Stephen Laberge. ⚡️💡 We often hear stories of people who’ve learned from their dreams or been inspired by them, such as Paul McCartney’s hit song “Yesterday” coming to him in a dream or of Mendeleev’s dream-inspired construction of the periodic table of elements, suggesting that dreams are more than just a byproduct of sleep. 🎙The Dream World Podcast was ranked #1 Lucid Dream Podcast on the web in 2024.

EP46: Artificial Intelligence & Dream Analysis: Pros & Cons
AI technology is a hot topic these days as we are watching it evolve before our eyes. AI can be used in any industry, even dream work. An AI system for interpreting dreams could be abusive if it were treated as a higher psychological authority; as an oracle of truth rather than a helpful tool. However, there are also many benefits when used correctly. Can a computer program interpret your dreams? If it could, would that be a good or bad thing? Where do YOU stand? Join the conversation, leave a review & follow us on social media!Today's guest, Joanna Kowalewska, is a certified dreamwork professional and Yoga Nidra facilitator. She is the founder of Blue Lotus Queendom, and also wrote an eBook, delving into the integration of AI in dream interpretation while preserving the invaluable connection to our inner wisdom. EP40: Liminal Dreaming: Surfing the In-Between Phases of Sleep and Consciousness
Legendary minds like Salvador Dali, and Thomas Edison used their liminal dreams to boost creativity and solve problems in their work! Guess what, you can do this too! We are all natural liminal dreamers, and we pass through this phase every time we fall asleep, or wake up!What is hypnagogia? How can we learn to navigate the in between phases of sleep where we are half awake and half asleep . What is the science behind this phase of sleep? Jennifer Dumpert wrote the book Liminal Dreaming. I am so honored to have her as a guest. Thank you Jen, for putting up with my hectic schedule and terrible wifi connection! You can find her website, and books hereAt the edges of consciousness, between waking and sleeping, there’s a swirling, free associative state of mind that is the domain of liminal dreams. As we sink into slumber, we pass through hypnagogia, the first of the two liminal dream states. In this transitional zone, memories, perceptions, and imaginings arise in a fast moving, hallucinatory, semi-conscious remix. On the other end of the night, as we wake, we experience hypnopompia, the hazy, pleasant, drift that is the other liminal dream state. Readers of Liminal Dreaming will learn step-by-step how to create a dream practice, integrating the deeply unusual half-waking dream states of hypnagogia and hypnopompia into their lives in personally meaningful ways. Working with liminal dreams can improve sleep, mitigate anxiety and depression, help to heal trauma, and aid creativity and problem-solving. Liminal dreaming practice is also far easier to learn than lucid dreaming practice, making it possible for the reader to begin working with these dreams this very night.Books Mentioned in this episode:Sleep Paralysis: A Guide to Hypnagogic Visions and Visitors of the Night By Ryan HurdHypnagogia by Andreas Mavromatishttps://www.liminaldreaming.com/Timestamps2:50 What is hypnagogia?5:50 EEG States11:20 Circadian rhythm13:20 Are you an Owl or a Lark?17:00 Sleep paralysis: How to avoid it and how to embrace it. 21:45 Phases of sleep 36:40 Liminal Vs REM dreams38:40 How to use hypnagogia for creativity: Dali-Edison Method43:17 Oneirogen dream enhancement46:03 How do binaural beats work?50:55 Hypnopompia Send us a textSupport the showFollow The Dream World PodcastVisit Our WebsiteInstagram @TheDreamWorldPodcastTik Tok @aminasdreamworldSpotifyFacebookLucid Dreaming Online Course
