Danielle Putnam, recognized by The News as The Top 40 Under 40, and Service World Expo as the 2021 Woman of the Year, is President of The New Flat Rate, Advisory Board Member and Past President of Women in HVACR, and is the Executive Director of her non-profit, Family Frameworks.Danielle has a personal connection with the home service industry. After college, she became the marketing director for an HVAC company in Oregon.Danielle knows home service, but she is also no stranger to big business. Before co-founding TNFR, she was the director of business development for a large digital services firm, pitching to C-level executives for big-name companies. When not in the office, she spends time with her husband and three children and enjoys hiking, snowboarding, reading, and fine wines. It was a pleasure to chat with Danielle and hear all about her take and advice for leadership. In this episode Danielle hits on:Leadership is about making others better due to your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absenceMost successful founders and business leaders have likened the start-up phase to waging war against the industry on behalf of underserved customersTo lead yourself, use your head - to lead others, use your heart - this is where boundaries need to step into the pictureIf you enjoyed this chat From the Yellow Chair, please rate, review, and subscribe from wherever you’re listening. Company Culture and Why We Do It

Send us a text“Culture is simply a shared way of doing something with a passion.”– Brian Chesky, Co-Founder, CEO, AirbnbLet’s talk about what company culture even means. Dig deep into the SOUL of your company and really take a good look in the mirror of what you’re doing to really build your company. Company culture can make or break your business so take time to really invest in making it flourish. Company Culture is the “clique” that we all talk about now… like fans of a sports league team or trending TV show audiences…. It’s a way of life that we get people to subscribe to!Our hosts discuss:Reiterating Core ValuesGWC: Get it, Want it, and CapacityMental HealthMake it PersonalIdentify Areas of SupportLive itCulture is the biggest demon for contractors today.  Especially those that have a long brand build from years and years.  The good news is the culture can be turned around…it’s hard, but it’s doable.
