Episode 66 - Luke Perry
Luke Perry has quite a story. He basically took the word vulnerability and owned it in a big way today. We talked about just about everything that we had time to talk about and went down a few rabbit holes. Essentially, Luke loves his cat. They say cats have 9 lives. It seems as though Luke also has 9 lives, with hopefully at least 3 left still. He's a guy with lifetimes of tough life experience and yet he's a month younger than me. So it really sinks in how we could be in totally different situations and yet here we both are doing the same job in our own unique ways just trying to live our best lives the only ways we know how. We recorded this episode on 2 hours notice a week after a major life altering accident happened as well as shortly after some major health changes. It's all about perspective. What do we all have to be grateful for. If you struggle with ADHD you'll want to listen to this one. If you grew up in foster care you will want to listen to this one. If you're really young and you're about to be a parent, you're going to want to listen to this one. If you've ever had kidney failure, dialisis, or if that's where life is taking you, you'll want to listen to this one. If you're a personal trainer and you shy away from connecting with your peers because of the competitive industry, you'll want to listen to this one. That should be enough reasons. Episode 65 - Sarah Lindquist
I hope nobody ever feels confident that they can pick who the next guest will be. I like to be unpredictable. It instills the value of community and connection both locally and far away. Being invested in someone else for an hour at a time can do wonders for personal growth.Sarah Lindquist is someone who is doing really well for herself as far as a fulfilling life goes. She's worked very hard to get where she is, been up to a lot of really cool and exciting things, but despite all of this she has had no shortage of obstacles. Her dog, Tukka is one of the most well-behaved large dogs I have ever met. I got to meet him at our Charity Boot camp that Sarah helped me run earlier this year at Langdale Park in the Windermere area in Edmonton, AB. Make sure to give this one a listen, tag me, @sarahdawneyoga and @thelifestylechase on social media. Thanks for all of your support. Episode 63 - Linden Wilcock
For the first time ever, someone had to go to the bathroom during the episode. I'm not going to tell you who it was, but in today's episode I talked with Linden about as many things as we could pack into 40 or so minutes. It's always good to leave the listener wanting more. I think we did just that. Like "what kind of groceries to you like to buy?" "what NHL team do you cheer for?" "dogs or cats?" and the classic, "pizza or donairs?"I hope you enjoy this one, pass it along, and I just want to say thank you for supporting. 63 Episodes of The Lifestyle Chase in 12 months. Episode 62 - Keltie O'Connor
In this episode I bring on Keltie O'Connor who is actually from Edmonton but has been working her ass off doing what she's passionate about in Toronto. I jumped right into this one and called her both "famous" and an "influencer" within the first 60 seconds. She really appreciated that hehehe. All jokes aside, we talked about a lot of things such as the work ethic it takes to make anything happen in life, setting boundaries to protect your energy as well as your privacy, and being resilient against the haters. We talk about gut feelings, dogs, and we dive into something that's pretty momentous that's been something Keltie has been dreaming of for a long time. It's officially happening the day after this podcast is released so you'll have to go check it out. Thank you as always for supporting The Lifestyle Chase and all the guests that come on the show. Please tag me on your social media as you listen because it's great to be able to see who's out there and not just have it be a number on a spreadsheet. Episode 60 - Louis Guarino
Life is too short to pay bills and die. Louis is another new friend from Toronto who I met at the Kansas City Fitness Summit. If you don't know who he is, you should look him up. He's good people. Louis and I talked about depression, therapy, religion, dogs, rice and beans, diversity, New York, Toronto, relationships, detention, impressing girls with cool tricks, and body image. I think you'll want to listen to this one. Louis has really established himself as a fitness professional and leads his life in such a way that it is not about what we've been through, but more about what we'll get through. I hope you listen to this one, share it, and hug one of your good friends today. Or at least give them a fist bump. Available on all podcast platforms. Thank you for your continuous support! Episode 59 - Caitlin Perry
Caitlin Perry and I actually recorded this episode last week. We visited over waffles and everything. Then there were dropouts in the audio over some pretty meaningful context that we spoke about. So we ended up having to reschedule and have a completely different conversation. I also got pancakes. A highlight is I am slowly getting to spend time with each of my friend's dogs. I hope you enjoy this episode as Caitlin is a truly good human being. Please share this with someone you think might also enjoy our conversation. Thanks for all the support!
