Episode 163 - Andrew Hannon

Andrew (@ando_pfs) and I met through Instagram and through both participating in the Compound Performance Mentorship. Our introverted tendencies helped us connect. There are so many instances where we are on the same page with our values and work ethic that I was excited to have him on the show to take a deep dive on a few things. There are a lot of podcasts that Andrew has been on that go a lot further into fitness for golfers or simply talk more about exercise and training. We talked a bit more about life and values and people. Andrew started as an athlete in a small town in Kansas where he participated in three sports in high school. His sports career continued at Baker University where he played baseball and basketball. During that time Andrew began to find his true passion for fitness and performance. While majoring in Exercise Science his knowledge on fitness and health continued to grow. Throughout his athletic career at Baker, he realized his strength performance goals could be reached by getting into weight lifting. After he graduated he knew that he wanted to share the knowledge he learned to help other people, and that’s where his personal training career started. What Andrew loves about personal training is the fitness industry is always expanding and there is always something new to learn. The mindset and heart of an athlete, he continued to look for opportunities to continue his education with health and fitness. He embraced the learning and concepts of golf fitness and performance. He believes that the general public can benefit from the techniques and concepts of golf fitness training through mobility, flexibility, dynamic movement while throwing a twist with traditional strength and athletic movements. Andrew views health and fitness is not necessarily about looking ripped or toned year round with high intensity workouts, but about a life style change through active habits, maintainable nutritional choices, and a healthy mind set of self-worth.Andrew loves working with all types of people, and enjoys creating valuable interpersonal relationships that can help clients exceed their goals. He enjoys learning about his clients to ensure a fun, motivational and fulfilling workout. If you enjoy this episode, please share a screenshot in your Instagram story or tell a friend. To stay up to date with all things The Lifestyle Chase, follow @thelifestylechase on Instagram. I've also recently partnered with a Canadian Company called truLOCAL. Episode 159 - Kenny Bhullar Talks About The Fight For Farmers In India

For Episode 159, I wanted to bring an important topic to The Lifestyle Chase. I recruited my new friend, Kenny Bhullar, a fellow trainer/coach and one of the podcast hosts of Edmonton-based 2nd Floor Podcast to help. I was hearing about The Fight for Farmers in India, seeing Kenny's efforts to raise awareness and funds, and I know a lot of people impacted by it whether it is through their family, or through our globalized world. To be honest, it has an impact on all of us. Spices, market price, big business vs. small business, the list goes on. We are more globally connected than we may realize, and the events of one part of the world, as we've witnessed in 2020, do have a direct correlation to our part of the world, whether we like it or not. I've seen grocery store prices rise in a pandemic when wages haven't, there is a lot to talk about, always, and I think this is a piece of the puzzle that is necessary for all of us to listen to today.Truly, what is important to me with my platform as a host of a podcast and as a trainer and a coach, is that I have to walk my talk. When I say I care about people, or causes, I need to demonstrate that with action. I was watching as my friends were spreading awareness of something they cared about, the Fight for Farmers, and I knew to talk about it on my podcast would help, because it's a white male asking to learn about something happening in India and this is what inspired me to reach out to Kenny to see if he could help. I knew he'd be up to the challenge. Go check out 2nd Floor Podcast, and if you aren't already, follow @kenny_bhullar. He's a driven guy with a bright future ahead of him. Thanks for checking out The Lifestyle Chase.  Get full access to Insight by Chris Liddle at chrisliddle.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 157 - Donna Murray

Donna Murray of @thecoasthr , http://www.thecoasthr.com/ and I go back to 2010. When I graduated high school, I wasn't 100% sure of what I wanted to do. I had initially planned to move to Vancouver for Film School but the expense and the move was intimidating so I wanted more time to figure things out. I went and applied for jobs in my nearby town. One of them was Sport Check. When I went for the interview, Donna was the recruiter helping with hiring for a brand new store. Since then, I moved to Edmonton to take General Studies at Grant Macewan University and transferred to a downtown store to work at the same time. My career evolved, I left retail to go into the warehouse, and I hadn't decided what I wanted to commit to yet with University. I just had broad collection of courses under my belt. I accumulated a 5 year career in the stainless steel industry which led to a point in my life where I made the "all-in" leap into the fitness industry and here we are at the end of in 2020 and Donna Murray and I have stayed connected this whole time. She has branched off to do her own exciting things and learned a lot along the way. She is very wise when it comes to reading people and she's always been someone I could count on for advice on progressing my career. I wanted to get her on the show because if you are looking for a job right now, you could use her help. If you are looking for quality people for your business, she will probably know exactly where they are. This podcast is intended to help my community on all levels, not just with fitness and wellness but with keeping a roof over your head. I think it's really cool how I've stayed connected with people from so far back.
