055 - How to have a better website

We talk all things web with Kayleigh from Kakadu Creative. The first thing someone does when they find out about your business is go and check out your website. What they find there dictates what happens next because research shows that someone makes up their mind about your company (and whether they want to work with or buy from you or not) within the first few seconds of loading up your website. In this episode, we are joined by Vegan Business Tribe member Kayleigh Nicolaou from Kakadu Creative to talk about how to create a website that actually delivers you more customers - and why it's especially important to get it right as a vegan business. 054 - What are investors looking for in a vegan business?

What investors are looking for. There's a lot of money floating around in the vegan sector right now. People are looking to invest in the next Beyond Meat or Oatly but if that's the case, then why can it be so hard to find an investor for your vegan business idea? Few investors will put money into an unproven concept and most won't give you money to see if an idea works just because it's vegan. So David takes a look at what investors are actually looking for in a business and what factors they take into account - and it's not just about your figures. But that's only half the story. Once you are ready for investment, you need to be able to put all that information into a concise pitch deck or presentation that gives an investor all the information they need at a glance. So what needs to be in that document? How many pages should it be? And how can you use leverage your vegan connection to get an investor to back your mission?About Vegan Business TribeHosted by Vegan Business Tribe co-founder, David Pannell. 049 - Meat made from labradors? Meet Elwood’s Organic Dog Meat

What happens when you parody animal farmers. Molly Elwood started Elwood’s Organic Dog Meat after trying to come up with an idea for a vegan bumper sticker. We’re all familiar with the slogan ‘why love one type of animal but eat another?’, Molly decided to take that one step further and launch a website that mimicked family-owned meat farms, but replacing cows and pigs with labradors and spaniels, to highlight their hypocracy.Within two months, Elwood's had nearly 30,000 followers on social media. David talks to Molly to find out how she did it and what the reactions have been from people who get taken in.About Vegan Business TribeHosted by Vegan Business Tribe co-founder, David Pannell. 048 - Get your business ready for Veganuary

How your business can make the most of the Veganuary campaign. Veganuary challenges people to eat vegan for the 31 days of January, and this year well over half a million people from over 200 countries signed up to the challenge. That's only the people who officially registered for the challenge through the website though. Research shows that ten times more people actually participated without officially registering. As vegan businesses, we should always get behind any campaign that is designed to bring more people over to the plant side, but Veganuary also creates a unique buying environment for your business: people who would at other times of the year have no interest in vegan products and services are now on the lookout for all things vegan. David takes a look at how your company can get involved with the Veganuary (both officially and unofficially) to not just back the campaign but also increase the sales and visibility of your vegan business during that time.About Vegan Business TribeHosted by Vegan Business Tribe co-founder, David Pannell.
