Beliefs, Future Self Attunement, and your Nervous System

“I think a lot of people try to move into manifestation and belief work, and can end up being really frustrated and down on themselves. It can be hard when you don't also have the tools to work with your nervous system.”   In this second part of the Trauma Rewired belief series, co-hosts Jennifer Wallace and Elisabeth Kristoff of Brain-Based Wellness are joined by Angella Jaber, an NSI practitioner who’s helping clients attune to their future self energy and create lasting change. During today’s discussion on the nervous system, they’ll explain the complex ways our past traumas keep us in a state of dysregulation, and why self-acceptance is key to truly healing.   Angella also shares her story of listening to her inner voice to live her authentic life, and bridging the work of nervous system healing and spirituality. You’ll also hear how applied neurology and NSI tools have helped them find self-awareness and work through the trauma responses, or protective outputs, not serving them.   As Elisabeth states above, our growth is limited when we don’t understand the way our nervous system operates. Tune in to start learning!   Topics discussed in this episode:   Angella’s journey to following her inner guidance Combining NSI training with future self energy Creating and preparing for permanent change How she guides clients in future self attunement Benefits resulting from integrating NSI tools Shadow work and self-acceptance Gaining freedom through self-regulation Angella’s process for shifting vibrations and manifestation Using neuro tools to reach a new level of connection to yourself   Learn more about Elisabeth Kristof and her company, Brain-Based Wellness, here: https://brainbased-wellness.com/about/   Join the Trauma Rewired Facebook Group!   Head to https://calendly.com/traumarewired/consultation for a consultation to identify trauma responses in your own life and learn how to train your nervous system to move out of behaviors that aren’t serving you!   Work with Jennifer: https://www.traumarewired.com   https://linktr.ee/traumarewired   Instagram FREE 1 Year Supply of Vitamin D + 5 Travel Packs from Athletic Greens when you use my exclusive offer: www.athleticgreens.com/rewired This episode was produced by Podcast Boutique.

Belief Rewire: Our Gift to You

From last week’s episode on perfectionism to topics like CPTSD elements or intuition, Trauma Rewired has discussed numerous issues that result from trauma. You’ve heard a lot about the nervous system and how important it is to regulate it, but how exactly do you do that?   During this first installment of a three-part series on core beliefs, you’ll learn how to deconstruct the beliefs that drive your harmful behaviors and create a loop of dysregulation. For example, Elisabeth shares her holiday-related anxiety that is leading to trauma responses like perfectionism; and Jennifer helps her trace back these beliefs and rewire the nervous system — just like they would any client.   In the spirit of the holiday season, Jennifer and Elisabeth will also be sharing two neuro drills that can bring you to a feeling of safety when in a state of high stress and dysregulation. This will enable you to challenge the beliefs that have a negative impact on your health and healing.   Change becomes possible when your brain and nervous system are on the same page, and listening to this episode will help get you there!   Topics discussed in this episode:   How core beliefs can develop in childhood Changing limiting beliefs from a neurosomatic perspective An example of tracing back a belief Driving behaviors of limited beliefs How the body feels accepting limiting beliefs vs. the opposite belief Taking action and changing behavior What happens after new beliefs are achieved? Perfectionism: A Trauma Response

Our society rewards those who work hard, appear to never make mistakes, and seem to have everything under control. We’ve collectively decided on what perfect looks like and attributed perfectionism with the ideal person. What if we told you that perfectionism is actually a protective measure used to prevent oneself from feelings of rejection, abandonment, and worthlessness? These words don’t quite scream “perfect” do they?   Trauma Rewired hosts Jennifer and Elisabeth have touched upon this trauma response before, but today’s episode is a deep dive into how it can develop and lead to harmful avoidance behaviors. They deconstruct perfectionism, including defining the three types of perfectionism and how it interplays with CPTSD elements like the inner critic.   You’ll learn the many health consequences that the chronic stress of perfectionism can cause, and how to distinguish excellence from perfectionism. Jennifer and Elisabeth also share their experience with perfectionism, and how it can push us into burnout or freeze states.   Perfectionism is not an attainable goal, which makes it debilitating and a hindrance to healing trauma. To take the first step towards moving out of perfectionism, tune in!   Topics discussed in this episode:   Defining the 3 types of perfectionism Perfectionism as a trauma response Jennifer’s example of setting yourself up for failure The effects of perfectionism on our health Maladaptive coping mechanisms for perfectionism How to recognize perfectionist behaviors and thinking Jennifer on taking action against her perfectionism Trauma healing, neurosomatic intelligence, and integration Limiting beliefs push the loop of perfectionism Elisabeth on the importance on self-regulation tools in her life How perfectionism negatively affects organizations and employees Steps Elisabeth has taken to heal her perfectionism and workaholism   Learn more about Elisabeth Kristof and her company, Brain-Based Wellness, here: https://brainbased-wellness.com/about/   Join the Trauma Rewired Facebook Group!   www.traumarewired.com   Head to https://calendly.com/traumarewired/consultation for a consultation to identify trauma responses in your own life and learn how to train your nervous system to move out of behaviors that aren’t serving you!   Work with Jennifer:   https://linktr.ee/traumarewired   Instagram FREE 1 Year Supply of Vitamin D + 5 Travel Packs from Athletic Greens when you use my exclusive offer: www.athleticgreens.com/rewired

Ayahuasca, Integration, and Neurosomatic Intelligence

The many gifts received through ceremony with ayahuasca from start to finish cannot be measured within the confines of the days in a retreat. The potential reveals itself during ceremony, but the gifts are found once you’re released into the world again, armed with awareness. However, potential is just that. How do you take that potential and transform it into healing?    Integration after ceremony is arguably the most crucial part of the whole process, because this is where you train your body to receive and transmute the heavy dysregulated energy you’ve been carrying in your nervous system your entire life, into regulation. Our host, Jennifer Wallace, recognized this after an extremely eye opening ceremony, that was in fact dysregulating in nature, so she knew there was a lot of work to be done post ceremony. Integrating the new information into her life in order for her body to feel safe was one of the greatest gifts she gave to herself, because now it has helped her create the big life she knew she could live. Jennifer is able to live fully expressed, and if she isn’t, she has the tools to bring her back to that aligned place.Jennifer has learned the tools to integrate the lessons that come up during plant medicine ceremonies and she wants to share her methods with you. Tune in to hear the importance of integration and how Jennifer was able to achieve it by healing her nervous system.   Topics discussed in this episode:   The importance of preparation (ie. dieta) prior to ceremony Shifts that could take place in your life during ceremony Being open to all that comes up during ceremony Who are you after releasing trauma? Working with and transmuting anger Why it is important to integrate after transformation What are body boundary variations   The importance of nervous system healing Changing your lived experience with awareness The emergence of a long term healing blueprint Recap of ACE scores How your life shifts after healing   Join the Trauma Rewired Facebook Group! Healing Autoimmune in Two Worlds: Plants & Western Medicine

Trauma Rewired has addressed many issues that arise when trauma is stored in the body for years, decades, or even a lifetime. One of them is that this type of chronic stress can lead to autoimmune diseases, heart disease and more, as well as intensify pain experienced from these serious health issues. A dysregulated nervous system resulting from trauma leads to emotional and physical pain, but how do you heal yourself from trauma, while also fighting for your physical health? Tune in to hear how both plant medicine and Western treatments can work together to heal the different facets of your health.   It’s been two years since Anna Gieselman was on the podcast to speak about her lupus journey, an autoimmune disease, but she’s back today to update us! In this episode, she shares the lows and highs of getting to a better place with her health, including making the decision to use Western medicine and becoming healed energetically and psychically with plant medicine.   Jennifer and Anna go over pivotal moments of their ayahuasca trip, such as experiencing a dark energy, healing generational trauma, and the divine feminine. Listen to their conversation about overall wellness for all this and more!   Topics discussed in this episode:   Anna gives an update on her health Negative and positive effects of her new medication Living in “permanent disease thought” with chronic pain Learning about her trauma with plant medicine Healing generational trauma and divine femine energy Jennifer and Anna on experiencing dark energy during an ayahuasca ceremony Long-lasting life changes from reaching the divine Regulating your nervous system   Connect with Anna Gieselman: Instagram Website   Join the Trauma Rewired Facebook Group!   Head to https://calendly.com/traumarewired/consultation for a consultation to identify trauma responses in your own life and learn how to train your nervous system to move out of behaviors that aren’t serving you!   Work with Jennifer:   https://linktr.ee/traumarewired   Instagram FREE 1 Year Supply of Vitamin D + 5 Travel Packs from Athletic Greens when you use my exclusive offer: www.athleticgreens.com/rewired   Interested in becoming a Neurosomatic Intelligence Coach please visit  www.neurosomaticintelligence.com
