Intervals: "Can I Just Chase Average Watts?" Answer: NO!

My question is do I keep chasing average power? Do I have to accept that outside workouts are just not as efficient? Thanks for the question Andrew! Good luck working on those %'s instead!

Pacing A VO2Max Interval (more notes below)

(video available on Spotify) Trying to explain what VO2 feels like when someone is new to it. Here is a better resource that I typed up. https://www.evoq.bike/blog/about-vo2max-cycling-workouts Hopefully it helps you crush some VO2Max sessions (classic 5x5, Hard Starts, 3m bangers, get some KOMs), and increase your aerobic capacity!   Quick thoughts: Get carbed up, LactiGo up, and use these interval sessions as dress rehearsals for executing a great nights sleep, nailing the nutrition, dialing in the warm up, and having an awesome ride!   Good luck!  Brendan@EVOQ.BIKE

"Should I Train My Limiters?" Cat 4 Questions! Episode #459

Yes, DEFINITELY, as long as they apply to your upcoming events. It's easy to chase numbers on a curve, but remember, that might not be a limiter; it's just that the computer algo's don't have the best input from you, the athlete. Training limiters is important, as long as they are applicable to your upcoming races! I am a statistic/number living cyclist, used to ride Cat 2 in the UK before a big crash a couple of years ago.  Picked up the bike in April for the first time since the crash and did lots of Tempo and Sweetspot work (Online Plan), but I agree with you Sweetspot will only take you forward whilst getting going again but soon plateau. I worked before my crash using WKO and creating intervals based in extending/lifting the PDC which is what I will be doing this time too.  Just had one quick question, do you train your limiters (For example 40-60s power) through out the season or just leave it until you move into that Block? Again thanks for the info, nice to see someone out there giving info without doing the big sell!!!

Might Need A Road For Intervals

As much as this might not sound like fun, having a road dedicated to specific types of intervals can really help out your execution, which is going to make you faster, which is extremely fun.
