Last week I was fortunate to be invited to an event (in person at last!!) to hear a remarkable Canadian woman speak: Barbara Arrowsmith–Young.Barbara is the author of The Woman Who Changed Her Brain - a worldwide bestseller – which tells the incredible story of how she struggled as a child with severe learning disabilities, built herself a better brain, and started a program that has helped thousands of others do the same. Sound remarkable? It is!!It was so inspiring to hear her amazing story, that I immediately asked if she would join me on my podcast so I could share that story with you this week. #123 - 7 Simple Mindfulness Practices For Your Daily Life

Well we're nearly halfway thru May and I am feeling energised and fantastic, having now done a couple of weeks of Mindful in May.Every day I’ve done the suggested meditations in the program, listened to the interviews with experts about mindfulness - and followed the exercises and prompts in my beautiful new Mindful Journal.It’s working – and it’s such a good feeling!So in this Episode I’m sharing with you what's working for me – what I’m calling my 7 Simple Mindfulness Practices For Daily Life - and see what feels right for you to try.I’m hoping by sharing this, you'll find something new that you can start practising daily to improve your own wellbeing. And let me start with what I've learnt is one of the biggest misconceptions that exists about meditation - 'you only need to practise mindfulness when you formally stop and meditate'. #122 – Dreaming Again After The Pandemic, with Natarlie Kierce

Hi there - and welcome to another episode! As you may know, over the last two weeks I’ve run four sessions of a workshop on How To Reset Your Life to Make 2022 the Best It Can Be …and I’m just so inspired!We had thousands of people from around the world join in – from places like London, the Philippines, Singapore, New York, LA, Hong Kong, Sweden and all over Australia. It never ceases to inspire me – hearing people move from being uncertain, unsure, unclear & stuck –> to having a real sense of clarity and excitement for the weeks, months and years ahead! #121 – In 3 Months You Will Thank Yourself

Hi there - and welcome back to another episode - and this episode is one I believe could change your life, if you choose it to! What I’m about to say may sound simple – but often the best things are.When you want to change something in your life - or when you want to chase a dream and bring it to life - you must do something different.You cannot just do what you’ve always done. In this episode I’m aiming to inspire you to choose one thing you want to do & focus on making that happen for the next 3 months. Just 90 days. Spending a little bit of time on it each day. And where should you start? You just need to take a little time out to figure out exactly WHAT to focus on first. To give you a sense of clarity and inspiration.You don’t need to think about HOW you’ll do it yet.  Just work out WHAT to focus on – and this episode gives you some tips on how to do that. At the time of releasing this episode it’s almost May 2022 - and before we know it, half of 2022 is done! So now is a perfect time to reset and get moving on your Dreams and Goals.  This episode will help you work out your WHAT – and give you a reason to ‘just start’. #120 – The Dreaming Path, with Paul Callaghan

Up until Paul Callaghan reached his mid-thirties, he had all the makings of a great Australian success story. Or so it seemed, until on his 35th birthday a nervous breakdown changed everything.Reconnecting with his traditional Aboriginal beliefs and culture is what helped heal him… and eventually led him to write his wonderful book, The Dreaming Path: Indigenous Thinking to Change Your Life. #119 - All You Need Is One Thought To Change Your Life.

I am so excited that our positive messages are spreading around the world, helping people discover and chase their dreams!As I was out walking the other day, I thought of a couple of questions that I often get: Where do I start? Where do I start with working out what my Dream Life could look like?And while I was walking, I reflected back to my own beginning, when I started thinking about what my dream life could look like.Back then I did a lot of researching, attended lots of talks, read lots of books and did a lot of courses. But as I reflected more on that, what I realised was that when it comes down to it, all you need is one thought to change your life. It sounds very simple, but from my experience it’s true. Enjoy this episode where I explore this theme and I'll talk you through a couple of questions that will help you get started. It’s so fun evolving as a person. Being in the driver’s seat of your own life. #116 –Dr Elise Bialylew: Embracing Happiness & Calm Thru Simple Meditation

#115 – Something Quite Personal. My Resilience Go-to-List of Six for You.

Hello Again! I feel compelled to share something quite personal in this episode – I think it might be of help right now.When meditating earlier this week, I was overcome with a deep sense of hopelessness and sadness about what’s been happening in the world lately.I felt it physically and profoundly – and I just sat with the feeling and let it all come out. Feeling for my fellow human beings – children, women, men, families - and what so many are enduring right now.And then, when I was ready, I changed gears - reminding myself that in challenging times like this, and with so much out of my control, I needed to turn inwards and take time to build my strength and resilience.  For me that means things like time meditating, time walking in nature and time journaling. When I do those things, I’m better able to cope and be my best for those who rely on me. In case it resonates with you and is helpful, this week’s episode focus’s on my resilience go-to list of six.Focussing on this list of six does wonders for me – and I hope it inspires you or someone you want to share it with. If you haven’t done any meditation or haven’t found the right meditation for you, as I mention in this episode we’ll be reading The Happiness Plan by Dr Elise Bialylew in April in GROW my personal growth / book club. Learn more here.In The Happiness Plan, the wonderful Elise draws on her background in medicine, psychiatry and mindfulness meditation to take us on a simple one-month guided program - leading us to a more balanced and fulfilled existence despite the challenges around us.Elise is the founder of Mindful in May and we’ll have her coming in to do a live meditation with us during GROW as well as taking any questions.
