Episode 67: Ask Me Anything Series: Do you still go to AA or Recovery Meetings?

Here is why I still go to recovery meetings each week. First of all, there is no one way to get sober! This is only my experience. Personally, I will always go to meetings. I got sober in 1999 at 21 years old. It was a very dark, suicidal, rock bottom and a long, humbling journey to now.  As mentioned, the journey of recovery is different for everyone. For me, the 12 steps are a beautiful, spiritual process that I think would honestly benefit most people, recovery or not. These principles and meetings are my anchor and I truly don’t think I would be sober for the past 23 years without them.
