[09:20] Karen's Menopausal Odyssey: A Rapid Onset, Unusual Timeline, and the Role of Thyroid Medication -       Karen experienced a sudden and intense onset of menopausal symptoms within a six-month period. This included a significant increase in follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) to menopausal levels, a drop in estrogen and progesterone, as well as other symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain in the stomach area, itchy skin, and breast tenderness. -       Her experience of going through menopause deviated from the typical timeline. Instead of the gradual progression over 10 years of perimenopause followed by a couple of years of more intense symptoms, Karen’s symptoms intensified rapidly, leading to a quicker transition into menopause. -       Karen discovered that the thyroid medication she was taking played a role in exacerbating her hormonal imbalance. -       Luckily, Karen successfully reversed some of the adverse effects of early menopause by implementing changes in her lifestyle and incorporating hormone replacement therapy. [15:20] Dietary Challenges and Hormonal Harmony -       Karen observed issues arising from a prolonged and intense adherence to hardcore keto diets among her clients, as well as in her own experience. Problems included menstrual irregularities, hair loss, and weight regain. Individuals were resorting to more extreme measures like extended fasting and carnivore diets in an attempt to address these challenges. -       Initially, the hardcore keto approach appeared to yield positive results, with clients experiencing improved energy levels, weight loss, and relief from menopausal symptoms. However, over the long term, these benefits diminished, prompting Karen to investigate the impact on the thyroid and other hormonal systems. -       Karen emphasizes the importance of understanding the body's response to dietary signals, particularly in the context of signaling abundance or scarcity. -       Karen advocates for the Keto Flex approach, incorporating carbohydrate intake a few days a week to signal abundance and support reproductive functions. [21:35] Optimizing Protein Intake: Recommendations for Weightlifters and Non-Lifters, Daily Distribution, and Whole-Food Emphasis -       Karen suggests adjusting protein intake based on whether an individual engages in weightlifting. For those not lifting weights, she recommends a slightly lower protein intake, around 0.5 to 0.8 grams per pound of body weight. -       However, for those involved in weightlifting, she recommends aiming for the standard guideline of 1 gram per pound of ideal body weight. -       Karen emphasizes the importance of distributing protein intake throughout the day. Ideally, individuals should aim for 30 to 35 grams of protein per meal. -       While acknowledging that many women may need to supplement their protein intake with shakes or essential amino acids, Karen emphasizes the preference for obtaining protein from whole food sources rather than relying solely on supplements. [23:05] Navigating Hormonal Health: Baseline Assessment, Sensitivity Variations, and Proactive Intervention in Perimenopause -       Karen emphasizes the importance of getting a baseline of hormones, especially during the fertile years in one's 30s. -       Different individuals have varying sensitivities to hormones, and what is considered normal or within the range may differ from person to person. -       Perimenopause typically begins between the ages of 35 and 40, marked by a decline in progesterone due to less frequent ovulation. Karen advises paying attention to subtle signs, such as weight gain, worsening periods, insomnia, or other symptoms emerging in the late 30s. Proactive intervention during this phase is recommended. -       Waiting until significant symptoms manifest may complicate treatment. Unfortunately, Karen notes that many doctors may be reluctant to address hormonal issues until a woman is in menopause, and finding a doctor willing to provide appropriate treatment with bioidentical hormones can be challenging. [37:05] Reverse T3, Testing Challenges, and the Impact of Heavy Metal Toxicity -       Karen stresses the importance of testing for reverse T3, a thyroid hormone that is often overlooked by doctors. -       She notes that obtaining reverse T3 testing can be challenging in some regions, such as Canada, where it may need to be sent to a lab in California. Doctors may not routinely order this test, so individuals are encouraged to advocate for their health by requesting and even paying for the test themselves. -       Karen explains that a crucial aspect of thyroid health is the relationship between free T4 and free T3. -       Lastly, Karen shares her personal experience of heavy metal toxicity affecting her thyroid health. [42:55] Proactive Hormonal Health: Early Intervention, Supplements, and the Role of Hormone Replacement in Preventing Decline-Related Diseases -       Karen emphasizes the importance of addressing hormonal imbalances proactively and early, especially before the onset of severe symptoms. -       Hormones play a crucial role beyond reproduction, influencing the function of organs throughout the body. -       Catching hormonal imbalances early can prevent the development of diseases associated with hormonal decline. -       During the late 30s and early 40s, when ovarian function starts to decline, Karen recommends certain supplements and lifestyle changes to support hormone production for a longer duration. -       Karen highlights that replacing hormones becomes a crucial option when natural hormone production declines. Gigi Ashworth | Why Salmon Is a Super Food For Weight Loss on Keto, & The Problem With Fish Oil Supplements KKP: 693

Today, I am blessed to have here with me Gigi Ashworth. She is a former competitive snowboarder and horseback rider that has since become a popular allergen-friendly food personality and cook across social media platforms, with a master’s certificate in Nutrition Communications from Tufts University. However, prior to obtaining her master’s degree, she got her broadcast journalism degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and even worked as the 3 AM weather girl at Denver’s ABC affiliate. When she finished her studies in Colorado, she moved to Los Angeles (she now lives in Georgia again with her husband and two baby boys, who find her adoration for salmon quite comical) to pursue a career in the entertainment hosting field. That career focus led her to start a humorous blog and YouTube channel called GiGi Eats Celebrities that showcases her personality and her extreme passion for realistic nutrition. This blog and YouTube channel turned into platforms where people with diet, nutrition, and health concerns, as her own enthusiasm for such topics stems from her severe diet-related issues (Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS, and no large intestine), can get advice (such as traveling with food intolerances and/or autoimmune diseases) along with allergen-friendly/keto diet approved recipes that everyone can enjoy. Her platforms (she now mainly focuses her efforts on her Instagram page, which currently boasts roughly 360,000 followers) have allowed her to garner the attention of many (who have described her as having an infectious, no bullshit, hilarious, salmon-loving personality). This led to her authoring her first book, She Does Keto, which is an informational cookbook, just like Seduced By Salmon, however, it covers the topic of the ketogenic diet and why it’s beneficial for women (and also contains 115 recipes). She was tapped to write a book on this topic because she has been living a ketogenic lifestyle for the last 18 years before it was even a “thing,” and researches this way of eating on the daily. As a devoted fitness enthusiast, a rather blunt and light-heartedly vulgar diehard allergen-friendly foodie that has been dubbed the Salmon Queen (she eats roughly eight pounds of salmon a week and has been doing so for the last ten plus years, and showcases this on the daily through Instagram stories and posts), she has been told that she is proof that you can educate and inform as well as entertain all at the same time! In this episode, Gigi Ashworth explains how she became The Salmon Queen on social media. Every single second of every day, Gigi craves salmon because of its great taste and fantastic health benefits. Gigi busts common myths around salmon and describes why you should think twice about buying wild-caught salmon during your next shopping trip. If you don’t already, research and determine where the salmon you purchase comes from. Tune in as we discuss the inspiration behind Gigi’s books, some of Gigi’s favorite salmon recipes, and why you should never eat tilapia.  This episode originally aired in November 2022. / / E P I S O D E   S P ON S O R S  PureForm Omega Plant Based Oils (Best Alternative to Fish Oil): http://www.purelifescience.com Use ben4 for $4.00 off. While on the other hand, a pound of salmon keeps her satiated.  Now, Gigi craves salmon every single second of every single day.  [22:00] The Reason Gigi Recommends Farmed Salmon Instead of Wild Caught Salmon Most people think wild-caught salmon is the way to go. Farming salmon started to take shape in the 1960s.  In the 1980s, they started to regulate farmed salmon. Farmed salmon is much better than wild-caught salmon because of how regulated it is.  Gigi recommends Kvaroy Arctic: https://www.kvaroyarctic.com/ [27:40] Do Your Research: Where Is Your Salmon Coming From?  There are a lot of toxins in the ocean. Wild salmon can have loads of toxins and mercury in them. Big fish will hold mercury, so you aren’t supposed to eat swordfish.  Also, wild salmon is being overfished and is more expensive than farmed fish.  Why buy garbage salmon when you can buy farmed salmon that has been fed to enhance health?  Before buying salmon, Gigi also researches where exactly it comes from.  [31:55] Keto Recipe: Making Taco Shells Using Salmon Skin Gigi will skin the salmon to make her famous taco shells. Using taco shell holders, you can air fry the skin and have a healthy taco shell! Gigi loves to create a salmon poke with avocado, sesame seeds, and ginger using her taco shells. You can also fill the taco shells with sardines, scallops, chicken, or beef! [39:25] Why Tilapia Is So Incredibly Unhealthy For You  Tilapia is a garbage fish! Tilapia is high in omega-6 fatty acids. You want your omega-3 and omega-6 ratio to be as close to 1:1 as possible. Unfortunately, most people get a 1:16 ratio in their diets for omega-3 and omega-6. [43:55] The Inspiration Behind The Complete Ketogenic Diet For Women The keto lifestyle is beneficial for so many people! Keto helps women with their hormone levels.  Also, keto is excellent for endometriosis, PCOS, and weight loss.  Hormones are what typically cause women to gain weight. With a keto lifestyle, your hormones will calm down, and your metabolism will kick into high gear.  She Does Keto: The Complete Ketogenic Diet for Women: https://www.amazon.com/She-Does-Keto-Complete-Ketogenic/dp/1641523573/benazadi-20. Today, I am blessed to have here with me Dr. John Lieurance. John Lieurance, ND, DC, RMA, BS, DABCN (Board Eligible), is a chiropractic neurologist and naturopath with 25 years of experience in private practice. He is a valuable member of the team at Advanced Rejuvenation, a multidisciplinary clinic specializing in alternative and regenerative medicine, naturopathic medicine, chiropractic functional neurology, Functional Cranial Release (FCR), LumoMed, Lyme disease, mold illness, and various other neurological conditions. Notably, Dr. Lieurance extends his expertise internationally, passionately sharing his knowledge and teaching fellow doctors. In this episode, we explore the metabolic sensitivity of the brain and the vital role of maintaining mitochondrial health, particularly in the inner ear. Dr. Lieurance sheds light on how issues like tinnitus, hearing loss, and hyperacusis are linked to poor mitochondrial function, exacerbated by factors such as jab injuries, vaping effects, and infections like COVID. The conversation then shifts to the battle between the external and internal environments, emphasizing the challenge of managing the body's toxic burden. Dr. Lieurance introduces essential oils as a valuable tool for caring for the body's doorways, particularly the mouth and nasal passages. Tune in as we explore the intricacies of the locus coeruleus, the command center for norepinephrine, and its role in stress modulation.  Dr John Lieurance’s LIVE event in Sarasota, Florida: https://www.drjohnlieurance.com/elements-of-vitality Use the coupon code: azadi for 5% off Join Ben Azadi's 90 day heavy metal detox program (15 spots available): https://ketokamp.clickfunnels.com/order-page-a  / / E P I S O D E   S P ON S O R S  Wild Pastures: $20 OFF per Box for Life + Free Shipping for Life + $15 OFF your 1st Box! https://wildpastures.com/promos/save-20-for-life-lf?oid=6&affid=132&source_id=podcast&sub1=ad BonCharge: Blue light Blocking Glasses, Red Light Therapy, Sauna Blankets & More. [06:50] Doorways and Cranial Release for Holistic Health -       The concept of taking care of doorways is derived from Hindu philosophy, specifically the representation of the God Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. In this context, doorways symbolize obstacles that hinder the expression of vitality and health. Dr. Lieurance draws parallels between this Hindu idea and the practice of cranial release, using balloons to open nasal passages as a means of removing obstacles to better health. -       Dr. Lieurance emphasizes the inherent ability of the body to be self-healing and self-regulating. The vital force within the body, responsible for health, can be disrupted, leading to diseases. -       Dr. Lieurance introduces the concept of cranial release, particularly endo-nasal cranial release using balloons. -       Cranial release is explained as a way to address issues such as chronic nasal congestion, sleep apnea, snoring, TMJ, headaches, and other head-related problems. [12:00] Insights on the Metabolic Sensitivity of the Brain and Inner Ear -       Dr. Lieurance emphasizes the brain as the most metabolically sensitive organ, requiring constant energy. The depletion of this energy source affects sensitive tissues, leading to dysfunction. -       He connects poor mitochondrial function, particularly in the inner ear, to common issues like tinnitus, hearing loss, and hyperacusis. -       These problems, exacerbated by factors such as jab injuries, vaping effects, and infections like COVID, highlight the importance of maintaining mitochondrial health for overall well-being. -       The inner ear is described as the "canary in the coal mine," serving as an early indicator of issues associated with poor mitochondrial function. Dr. Lieurance draws attention to the organ's constant need for energy, even during sleep, and its vulnerability to environmental factors. [18:00] Battling Toxic Burden, Inflammation, and the Vital Role of Essential Oils in Doorway Care -       Dr. Lieurance introduces the concept of a constant battle between the external and internal environments, highlighting the challenge of managing the body's toxic burden. -       This battle leads to inflammation, a key factor in health shifts. -       The emphasis is on strategies to take care of the body's doorways, particularly the mouth and nasal passages. -       Essential oils are presented as a valuable tool for caring for doorways. -       Dr. Lieurance explains the role of biofilm, a sticky gelatinous material that microbes use to shield themselves from the immune system. Without proper care of the doorways, biofilm in the nasal passages can accumulate particles from the air, potentially leading to bloodstream entry. [21:10] Locus Coeruleus, Alzheimer's, and the Intricate Balance of Norepinephrine Modulation -       Dr. Lieurance explains that the locus coeruleus is the command central for norepinephrine, the stress hormone. The activation of this area in the brain is responsible for the transition from sleepiness to alertness and focus in the morning. -       While essential for productivity, some individuals struggle to regulate the firing frequency of the locus coeruleus, leading to prolonged stress responses. -       The accumulation of beta-amyloid plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease is found in the locus coeruleus even before the first stage of Alzheimer's. -       Dr. Lieurance suggests a connection between endotoxins and the development of these plaques in the locus coeruleus. The progression of the plaques then extends to the hypothalamus and the broader brain, impacting functions related to mood, dopamine, movement, and memory. [33:20] The Complex Landscape of Nitric Oxide Forms, Supplements, and the Fine Line Between Health Benefits and Risks -       Dr. Lieurance explains that there are three forms of nitric oxide—endothelial, neuronal, and inducible. -       Inducible nitric oxide is often elevated in response to stress and infections. While supplements are commonly used to increase nitric oxide, it's important to be aware that these supplements typically target the inducible form. -       Elevation of nitric oxide can lead to vasodilation, which can have clinical benefits such as enhanced athletic performance, improved sexual function, and lower blood pressure. -       However, chronic elevation, particularly inducible nitric oxide, is associated with chronic infections and may be linked to conditions like depression. [36:40] The Clinical and Personal Applications of Methylene Blue -       Dr. Lieurance has been actively using methylene blue clinically and personally. He notes its efficacy in treating chronic infections and highlights its remarkable impact on individuals with COVID, leading to dramatic changes within a day. -       Methylene blue, known for absorbing red light and reflecting blue, has an affinity for mitochondria. Originally a dye for clothing, it was later found beneficial for staining tissues and microbes. -       Dr. Lieurance underscores the dye's ability to highlight differences in tissues based on their mitochondrial content and its historical role in studying microbes for drug development, particularly in malaria research. -       Methylene blue's affinity for mitochondria makes it an exciting component in photobiomodulation. Do organic if possible. -       True keto foods will not be marketed as keto foods. -       Clean keto is just about focusing on whole real foods. [22:18] Investing in Health Will Be Your Best Asset: Start Now! -       Health is not an expense. It's an investment. -       Sadly, health is the last thing that many people invest in. -       Organic food, grass, and all that are more expensive; however, you'll save money in the long run since you eat less. -       Most food at restaurants is going to be served with inflammatory oils. -       The most valuable thing you can invest in is your health. [25:14] How Can you Benefit from Intermittent Fasting Based on Your Needs? -       Time-restricted eating and a three-hour bedtime window are recommended for fully healthy women. -       Keep the meals between an eight to 10-hour window. -        If it's someone with cortisol or adrenal issues, we must be careful with too much fasting. -       We are all fasting. Marek Doyle | A New Understanding of How The Mitochondria Produces Energy, The Cell Danger Response & More! KKP: 689

Today, I am blessed to have here with me Marek Doyle. He has spent the last 17 years developing a model of individualized nutrition based on data from over 3,000 individual outcomes, 11,000 test findings, and significant utilization of the scientific literature. Marek is a functional nutritional therapist. In addition to his Academy training course for practitioners and enthusiasts in London, England, Marek offers one-on-one consultations for customers. He holds a Master of Science degree in Personalized Nutrition.  Marek has always greatly respected and fascinated with the human body. He was always driven to nutritional therapy since it is the most fundamental aspect in impacting human biochemistry, and he has spent almost two decades improving his methods. Marek has an MSc in Personalized Nutrition (CNELM/Middlesex Uni), as well as a CertHE in Nutritional Medicine, a Diploma in Allergy and Environmental Therapy (BIAET) and a Diploma in Advanced Nutrition for Optimal Health (GBF/BCMA).  His viewpoint is shaped by everything that can enable him to precisely pinpoint each person's major challenges and predict the result of any given option. It is shaped less by exact answers and more by asking the right questions, which are formed from his personal experiences, combining the mechanical knowledge taken from the scientific literature with the wisdom embedded in traditional healing systems, and by making observations gleaned from working directly with thousands of people. In this episode, Marek speaks about how our bodies can repair themselves so long as you identify the hurdles that prevent it from happening, the flaws of modern weight loss methods, the pros and cons of the ketogenic diet, how the mitochondria work under stress, and things you need to remember before going on a diet. Finding out what that obstacle is is the key to overcoming certain health issues. Once these obstacles are taken away, everything becomes much easier for an individual. These interferences aren’t easy to identify or solve, which is why it is up to everybody to identify what they are. [06:28] The Flaws of Popular Weight Loss Methods Many influencers, nutritionists, and dieticians claim that energy balance is the only thing you’ll need to lose body fat. Calories in and out are a big deal; however, both can change. This concept is entirely dependent on the body not changing its energy usage all day which makes it very flawed. The calorie concept is deceptive because it works short-term for weight loss but not fat loss. There is a massive difference between these two. [12:00] The Pros and Cons of the Keto Diet Two camps are relevant to this diet. The first one is the people who preach that it’s a revolution, and the other is the ones who oppose it due to their belief in its health risks. There is a lot of misconception that still exists about the Keto Diet. One of the most anti-inflammatory interventions available is the Ketogenic Diet. [24:47] What the Mitochondria Does When You Are Stressed There are three different types of stress: Mental and Emotional Stress, Physical Stress, and Chemical Stress. Being under any of these stresses will cause the Mitochondria to generate a ton of oxidative stress. The only thing greater than the human body’s capability to handle stress is how far you can push it until it eventually fails. Oxidative stress due to the overworking of the Mitochondria will cause certain problems in the human body. [40:44] Things You Must Consider Before Trying Certain Diets       There are many moving parts in the human body, making a perfect diet unrealistic.       Doing certain diets and fasting is fine; however, you must consider your status and other options first.       Stress, Immunocompromised bodies, your home’s condition, and most importantly, your current health condition are some of the few things you need to be mindful of before starting a diet that will massively affect your body.   It’s always a matter of identifying the big stressors in your life. Spencer Feldman | Side Effects of The Covid Vaccine, & What to do About Spike Protein Health Challenges KKP: 688

Today, I am blessed to have Spencer Feldman here with me. Spencer is the founder of www.Remedylink.com — where for the last 20 years, he has been formulating and manufacturing detoxification products for doctors and their patients. His company specializes in helping support your body’s natural responses to heavy metal toxins.  His background in Holistic Health and Chelation Therapy and passion for detoxification allows Spencer to do what he loves every day- make products that allow real detoxification to happen. Being the longest-running Suppository Company in the United States, Spencer has shared his passion for health for over 20 years with products that represent true craftsmanship and commitment to quality.  Spencer is now in his 50s and he lives with his partner completely off-grid on his 100-acre farm where he spends his time tending his orchard and garden while continuing to design new products to help detoxify people.  In this episode of Keto Kamp featuring guest Spencer Feldman, we deeply dive into the long-term effects of COVID-19 vaccines and the presence of spike proteins in the bloodstream. Spencer sheds light on the potential sources of these proteins and the need to address their continuous production within the body. We also explore whether spike proteins can be transferred from vaccine recipients to non-recipients through intimacy and the reported health implications.  Additionally, Spencer speaks about the influence of environmental factors on human behavior, drawing parallels to a study involving rodents in an enclosed environment. We discover how proteolytic enzymes, cyclodextrins, and lysosomes can be harnessed to break down harmful proteins and genetic material, ultimately optimizing our health. The conversation culminates in discussing digestion, fasting, kidney health, and protein intake, providing valuable insights for overall wellness. Join us on this enlightening journey as we uncover the secrets behind these vital health topics. [04:35] Long-Term Impact of COVID-19 Vaccines & Spike Proteins Researchers have identified the presence of spike proteins in the bloodstreams of individuals six months after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. This finding raises questions about the source of these proteins and the body's ability to break them down or sequester them. One possibility is that these proteins are continuously produced due to a reservoir of viral infection in the body that was never fully eliminated. However, this scenario may not apply to most individuals, as typically, dormant infections only re-emerge when the immune system is weakened. Another potential explanation involves reverse transcriptase, where foreign genetic material from the vaccine may have integrated into the recipient's DNA. While this can be problematic, it doesn't necessarily lead to an increase in spike proteins unless the integrated genetic material affects actively expressed genes. Regardless of the source, addressing the presence of these spike proteins is crucial. However, a more comprehensive approach is needed to understand how to manage foreign genetic material and prevent the ongoing production of these toxins. [17:25] Can Spike Proteins Be Transferred from COVID Vaccine Recipients to Non-Recipients Through Intimacy? The theoretical possibility of individuals who did not receive a COVID vaccine acquiring spike proteins is a complex issue. The potential transfer of these proteins or foreign genetic material may occur through sexual activity with someone who received the COVID vaccine.  Reports of menstrual irregularities, blood clots, hemorrhages, and even miscarriages in individuals who were intimate with vaccinated partners suggest the need for further investigation into these possible connections. [21:20] The Influence of Environmental Factors on Human Behavior Spencer references a study involving rodents placed in an enclosed environment with an abundant food supply. As the rodent colony grew and outstripped its food source, various behaviors emerged, including increased homosexuality, infanticide, and murder, all contributing to a population decline. Spencer touches on the impact of environmental chemicals, such as Atrazine, which are known to affect gender identity and behavior. These chemicals are suggested to have contributed to changes in human behavior and choice, drawing parallels to the rodent study. Human choices and cultural shifts may be influenced by external factors that affect behavior, similar to how genetics and environmental influences affect rodents' choices and population dynamics. [35:00] Breaking Down Harmful Proteins and Genetic Material Spencer touches on the use of proteolytic enzymes, such as nattokinase, to break down spike proteins. These enzymes play a crucial role in addressing the presence of harmful proteins in the body. Cyclodextrins can effectively bind to prion fragments, helping to reduce their impact and minimize their spike effects. Enzymes, particularly pancreatic ribonuclease, have the potential to break down foreign genetic material. This approach may support the body in breaking down external genetic material, even if it's highly stable. Lysosomes, organelles within cells, are responsible for breaking down used proteins and certain toxins. Fasting can help clean up lysosomes, allowing them to function more efficiently in recycling and removing accumulated waste from the cells. [37:30] Cleaning Lysosomes and Securing Your Health Cyclodextrins are a powerful way to clean out lysosomes, even more effective than fasting, and can reach places that fasting cannot access. Cleaning out lysosomes using cyclodextrins creates space for other substances to be sequestered, such as foreign genetic material, which might otherwise continue to cause issues. [43:05] Unlocking the Link Between Spike Proteins and Allergies Spike proteins in the body can lead to various immune dysfunction reactions, including allergies, which can affect a wide range of tissues and systems. Allergies are often histamine-mediated reactions, and they can manifest in ways beyond the common symptoms like skin itching, watery eyes, or sneezing. Chronic conditions may have an allergic component, such as plaque in arteries or irritable bladder. Chronic allergic responses can lead to increased levels of immunoglobulins, which are responsible for targeting toxins and infections. The balance between immunoglobulins and albumin in the blood can influence overall health. Higher levels of albumin in the blood are associated with better health, longevity, intelligence, and physical beauty. It plays a vital role in detoxifying the body, and maintaining optimal albumin levels is crucial for overall well-being. [51:30] Optimizing Digestion, Fasting, Kidney Health, and Protein Intake for Wellness Pay attention to your enzyme levels and digestion efficiency. Digestive enzyme supplements may assist in breaking down proteins and aiding in better nutrient absorption. Intermittent fasting may not be the best choice for everyone. Instead, consider longer fasting periods, like 7 to 14 days, which can provide more significant metabolic benefits. Short-term fasts might stress your body without yielding the same advantages. Keep an eye on your kidney function, especially if you have high levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and a high BUN-to-creatinine ratio. Elevated levels may indicate potential kidney stress, and you may need to adjust your protein intake to optimize kidney health. While protein is important for muscle, bone density, and overall health, consider spreading your protein consumption evenly throughout the day rather than in high doses all at once. This can help reduce the burden on your kidneys and maintain better overall health. AND MUCH MORE! Dr Barrie Tan | How Vegetable Oils Wreck Your Cell Membrane & Why You Should Be Taking Vitamin E Every Day! KKP: 687

Today, I am blessed to have here with me Dr Barrie Tan. He is hailed as a trailblazer, and the world’s foremost expert on vitamin E. Dr Tan is credited with discovering a form of vitamin E called tocotrienol in the three major sources – Palm, Rice, and Annatto. Dr Barrie, described as a scientific pioneer, has a simple mission: improve the everyday health of people’s lives through the rigorous application of DeltaGold® – the first-ever tocopherol-free tocotrienol product extracted from annatto and the most potent form of vitamin E in existence today. He is the founder and chief scientist at American River Nutrition and spent ten years as a chemistry and food science/nutrition professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In this episode, Dr Barrie speaks about why somebody dedicates their life to certain research, and the truth about Vitamin E. Dr Barrie explains what happens when vegetable oils enter the cells. Dr Barrie delves into the types of fats in the cell wall and their percentages. Listen in as we talk about vitamin E, vegetable oils, antioxidants, Tocotrienols, and cell wall fats. They have a lot of double bonds, and they’re very unstable. DHA and EPA are even more unsaturated than vegetables. [04:50] What Happens When Vegetable Oil Enters The Cell Wall of Your 38 Trillion Cells?  Lipoprotein particle has one or two proteins that carry the oil, travels through the bloodstream, and eventually ends up under trillions of cells.  About 80% of the cell wall is fat, a rudimentary and primitive way of understanding aging.  Greater than 90% of all the antioxidants on the cell wall are vitamin E molecules, tocotrienol. Less than 10% of them are Co-Q 10, which your body makes, Lycopene and Beta-keratin.  Four Major Food Groups are Fat, Protein, Carbohydrate, and Nucleic Acid. [12:27] Watch Out! Keep Your Body Healthy From Fats and Cholesterol Vast amounts of fatty acid are not healthy for the body. The cholesterol is made by our body and is in the cell to give flexibility to the cell, so it is not too rigid or stiff. One in every 10,000 oxygen becomes radicalized. It had two very active electrons under oxygen, with a high potential energy. [22:28]  Increase Your Knowledge Of Various Antioxidants Facts Worth Knowing The body makes very few endogenous antioxidants, including Co-Q 10, Glutathione, and Estrogen.  Plants have tens of thousands of antioxidants; the most common ones the plant makes are polyphenols.  Supplemental Co-Q 10 is hard to absorb by the body and will only stay in the blood.  Keratin’s purpose is to capture this oxygen free radical and protect against oxidative damage, so the leaf is not destroyed. [37:28] What Are The Various Types of Vitamin E You Must Look Out For?  Tocopherol and Tocotrienol are the two major forms of Vitamin E. Most Vitamin Es are 95% Tocopherol, and 5% will be Tocotrienols. Rice, palm oil, and the annatto plant are common products containing Tocotrienols. Plants produce keratin to preserve foliage colour. [42:12] Learn About The Benefits And Beauty That The Annatto Plant Offers The annatto plant doesn’t contain tocopherol, which hinders the function of tocotrienol. It has 90% delta-tocotrienol and 10% gamma-tocotrienol. Annatto produces tocotrienol to preserve the colour of the plant longer. Protecting the colour is critical for the plant to attract birds to swallow its seed and help maintain the lifecycle. AND MUCH MORE! Rachel Varga | Does Leaky Gut Cause Leaky Skin? The BEST Bio-Hacking Tips For Younger Looking Skin KKP: 685

We have Rachel Varga with us, and we will talk about skin health. She will tell us what inspired her to make a career in the health space. She grew up in a humble home and learned a lot from her parents' experiences; she learned to use her hands from her carpenter father and long hours of work from her nurse mother. She graduated from nursing school, worked at a high-security prison palliative care, and realized she wanted to be a skin doctor after a lot of in-depth thought. She became an expert in her field, taught other doctors, and now she has gotten into research. She aims to inspire others to be more beautiful and radiant through body, mind, and spirit energy and detoxification. Without gut testing, you will miss the mark. This is biohacking, and this is what changed Rachel's life. From a gut perspective, she also includes detoxing and cleaning protocols every full moon to keep things like yeast, fungi, toxins, and parasites out of the system. This transformed her life physically, emotionally, spiritually, and energetically. Through this fast of food, sleep, sex, and alcohol, she felt changed. This event positively affected her skin and cleared it. It even removed PMS systems from her cycle. [13:25] Skin health Skin health is an excellent way to know about somebody's overall health Some cues give away about one's gut through skin issues that they have The first is the eyes: puffy eyes could indicate inflammation. The inner eyelid area can also mean that something is going on inside. When you start consuming a lot of sugar, alcohol, and dairy, if it's not something you are used to, you will notice the effects on your skin after a couple of days. Puffiness, redness to the nose, acne, effects on nails, etc., are some of the things that may pop up. Brain fog is another significant consequence of bad health.   [19:22] Supplements A product with omegas and other essential nutrients from a particular company This company has been working for the past fifteen years This product will give you a golden type of glow, and it helps with pigmentation Rachel did a study for six to eight weeks with her cohort, and the results were the same: reduction in puffiness, reduction in redness, reduction in darkness, pigmentation fading, and so on. Photography and research are so important to know for sure. [22:27] What is the reason behind dark circles? The number one reason why guys complain is the eyes. The skin around the eyes, especially the lower eyelid area, is as thin as an eggshell. You could be lacking collagen, hydration, healthy fats, etc. Skin care comes, and sun protection can help. Other solutions include Vitamin C, Vitamin A, dermal rolling, and getting lasers done. [28:40] Foods that are bad for your skin and why? Dairy is related to gut disturbance and causes inflammation, damaging the skin. Gluten is also inflammatory for most people and causes the same problem. Alcohol taxes your liver and indirectly affects your gut. Raw kale and spinach are on the list as well. Vegetables and corn oils also make it to the list and shouldn't be consumed or put on the skin. [39:21] What are some ways to tighten the skin after weight loss? It has to be surgery often, but if you put in the work, you can make it work without it. If you do the work and make good life decisions, you can make it possible. A positive mindset will also enable you to see improvements. Heavy lifting and derma rolling can help. Derma rolling is a decades-old practice, and you can have more collagen with the consistent use of this particular tool.
