Momentum with Steven Borden
Steven Borden
My ambition is to get you to take action and move towards the life you want. We all have goals, and most of us want to be further along in life than we are currently. Whether you want to get in the best shape of your life, build a business, start a podcast, learn a new skill, or accomplish anything of substance, there's one thing you'll definitely need: Momentum.
Different roadblocks keep us from getting where we want to go. For some, it's fear and insecurities. For others, it's plain laziness. Whatever the underlying issue is, almost anything can be overcome by generating a bit of momentum. Small actions repeated consistently lead to big changes.
You're capable of making the changes you want to make. Whether you've set a plan a thousand times and given up every time, or you're just preparing to take a step towards a goal for the first time, you just need to learn how to build and sustain momentum.
That's what I'm here for - each episode of this podcast, either myself or a guest will share insights on how to maximize your life and potential. I'll be interviewing some of the greatest minds in the world - from athletes, entrepreneurs, coaches, artists, psychologists, and more.
Thank you so much for tuning in, and let's build some Momentum!

Why Your Body Feels "Stiff", How to Overcome Paralysis by Analysis, and Building a Personal Brand in the Performance Space with Quinn Henoch
Why does your body feel "tight" or "stiff"? Why has endless stretching and foam rolling not removed pain and stiffness during training? What can you do to increase range of motion in a squat, and where do you start if you literally can't squat halfway down right now? This episode starts off with tangible strategy right from the beginning as Quinn addresses each of those questions. Quinn is a well respected name in the strength & conditioning / physical therapy space as he is a rare breed that has expertise in both. He's also built a successful online business leveraging his expertise (and overcome his natural tendency to overthink things to do so).We talked about how Quinn got to where he is now, what separates good strenghth coaches / PTs from the rest, and how to just get yourself to START.You can find Quinn on Instagram at @quinn.henochdpt or find a vetted PT / Strength Coach provider in your part of the world at his website www.clinicalathlete.comEnjoy!

The Life of an NFL Free Agent, Being an IMG Model at 6'5" 315 Pounds, and Stories from University of Kentucky Football with Jon Toth
Great discussion with former teammate, long-time friend, and mammoth of a human being Jon Toth. After a dominant career at University of Kentucky, Jon injured his back just weeks before the NFL combine. A projected mid-round pick, Jon has had to fight his way back into the NFL after teams passed on him due to his injury. He's bounced from the Jets, Rams, Browns, Eagles, and more the past several years. We talked about the difficulty of investing so much energy and focus into something with zero guarantee of success and how he's staying disciplined despite that.We also talked about some of the changes that happened in the Kentucky program after Stoops took over and some stories of our time playing together, and much more. You can find Jon and his 36" quads on Instagram @jtoeth. Keep an eye out for him on Sundays in 2021!
