Step-parenting & Finding My Place
In today's episode, I share that after 6 years of navigating the complexities of blended families, I feel I have found my place and grown to be truly grateful for my step-daughters. Through this experience, I have discovered new depths to my heart that I never knew existed until I met these two beautiful girls. As I watch them shift from little girls to teenagers, I see them becoming their own humans in the world. I enjoy hanging out with them, chit-chatting and really feel that we can be ourselves with one another. It's a tough road blended families and I'm sure glad I didn't give up or give into the stories in my head, because deep down in my heart, I've always known that they are my people. Expect This When You Go After What You Desire
As you embark on the journey of pursuing your dreams and desires, it's important to remember that it's completely normal to self sabotage and cock-block yourself. In fact, it's often in the pursuit of our goals that we are forced to confront our deepest wounds, limiting stories, and ego-driven beliefs. This can be uncomfortable and even painful at times, but it's an essential part of the process. It's important to recognise that this is not a sign of failure, but rather an indication that you are growing and expanding beyond your current limitations. So, be kind and compassionate with yourself as you navigate old wounds and beliefs. Remember that you are not alone, and that this is a natural part of the journey towards fulfilling your next layer of potential. Finally, I'm Allowing Myself To Experience Pleasure
For the last three years of our relationship, I have been sexually inhibited and it's been an area of mine and Steve's relationship that has been strained. As I ventured in and sought professional guidance to help me, a new layer of healing and liberation unlocked. And with that, layers of pain released. In past relations, I gave my body but not my heart. With Steve, I gave my heart and withheld my body. Why? To feel a sense of control and safety. But, it started to take a toll on us, so it was time to look deeper. For the first time in 37 years, I feel sexually liberated, safe in my body AND with Steve, allowing myself to actually experience pleasure without the shame story shutting down my body. To finally be present in this area of my life without making it mean something is truly something I am celebrating. Today's episode shares the lessons I've learned, the healing that's taken place and the journey over the past three months that has been hard, but worth it.**Please note, today's episode makes mention of sexual abuse. If right now listening to this episode may be triggering, skip it or come back to it when the time feels right. Kat & Steve - Relationships & Setting Agreed Intentions
Steve and I made an agreement at the start of our relationship. An agreement that we both contributed to in order to help us stay connected and move out of shitty states when in disagreement. We agreed that when one of us is acting up, talking with a sharp tone, being care-less with out words or cold shouldering, that the other would remind us of our true intentions and what mattered more than the need to be right or in control. As time has gone on in our relationship it's helped us shift out of holding grudges and death staring the other far more rapidly, because we both know the true feeling and intention that we predominantly want to be in. Today's episode shares a simple tool we used that has proved to serve us time and time again. Life Is Not Just About The Before And Afters
Sharing the mess of life can be challenging and vulnerable, especially when we tend to celebrate the "before and afters". It's also incredibly brave and empowering. Social media and other forms of communication often present an idealised version of life, showcasing only the highlights and filtering out the messiness and struggles that are an inevitable part of the human experience. But when we have the courage to share the real and messy parts of our lives, we create space for authenticity, connection, and empathy. We show others that it's okay to struggle, to make mistakes, and to have imperfections. We give permission to others to be their authentic selves and to let go of the pressure to be perfect all the time.Sharing our vulnerabilities can be scary, but it can also be transformative. When we open up and share our struggles, we allow others to offer support and love, and we often find that we're not alone in our experiences. We can create deep connections with others and build relationships based on authenticity and empathy. So, while it can be challenging to share the mess of life, it's also incredibly brave and powerful. It's a way of showing up fully in the world and embracing all that life has to offer, both the highs and the lows.SUPPORT THE PODCAST TO SHOW YOUR LOVE - Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering production costs and helping us to create even more valuable and impactful episodes. 6 MONTH COACHING PROGRAM - The Legends - Last chance to sign up for 2023! Consider This On Your Personal Development Journey
It's crucial to understand that personal growth and development is a continuous journey, and it's normal not to have all the answers and breakthroughs at once. We need space to process, to reflect, to integrate. We need to be patient with ourselves and our progress. Remember, the journey towards personal development is a process that requires time and effort, and there are bound to be twists, turns and setbacks along the way. Rushing to find quick solutions or trying to have all the answers at once can lead to frustration and burnout. Instead, focus on taking small, consistent steps towards where you want to go and trust that the breakthroughs will come in due time. In the end, the most important thing is to keep moving forward with patience, perseverance, and an open mind.SUPPORT THE PODCAST TO SHOW YOUR LOVE - Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering production costs and helping us to create even more valuable and impactful episodes. 6 MONTH COACHING PROGRAM - The Legends - Check it out here! The True Meaning Behind Giving ZEROFKS
In my world, giving ZEROFKS isn't about sticking the bird up to the world with fake, cocky confidence. To me, that is egoic protection and contributes to separation and carelessness between humans. Giving ZEROFKS is about noticing and observing what thoughts, stories and beliefs are limiting you from expressing yourself, going after something you want or sharing with someone what's on your heart. What it's actually about is giving zero, or less, care, importance and airtime to what holds you back, so you can actually go after what matters. But first, you gotta look into the thought, belief and story, neutralise its power and then choose where you'd like to place your fks.In today's episode I share why giving ZEROFKS in this way is vital to our mental well-being and how it keeps us accountable for how we're living our lives. Kat & Steve - Relationships & Feeling Heard
Ooh we had a doozy of a disagreement a few days ago. I wanted to have a moment of whinging and complaining about aspects of my business to Steve without any kind of solution or answer. Steve on the other hand, wanted to provide a solution and answer to help me overcome my pity party. Well, that went down like a sack of potatoes hard and fast!In today's episode we go into why I cracked it, why Steve cracked it and what very simple tool we forgot to implement that led us to crack it at one another. We also go into how we moved out of this swiftly and powerful so we could refocus on loving one another and enjoying time together. We hope you enjoy this episode. Next Best Step (VS) Next Perfect Step
There's a difference between the next best step and the next perfect step. A next best step is something we take that is in alignment with our core values and truth in that particular moment or phase of our lives. For example, you may be overworked, undervalued and treated poorly at work. Your next best step may be to take a leave of absence for some time, regroup, find your core essence again and rebuild your inner resources. This next best step will serve its purpose for a period of time. When you are full again, a new next best step will be ready to be taken. A next perfect step has a different energy about it. It's often created by the ego which will want to know if the next step is perfect, if it's right or wrong, good or bad and if it will lead to something worth taking the risk. This can leave us in indecision, doubt and heavy in the mind as the need to know that it's a good step is stronger than doing what is best for us in that moment. Today's episode goes into this concept in more detail as I share with you where I'm at in relation to this very topic and how I'm navigating it. I hope you enjoy the episode and get some goodness from it. What To Do When You Lose “It”
What is "it"? "It" can be your sense of self, connection to the Universe or faith, belief in your dreams, depth in your relationship or self respect. "It" is something that deeply matters to you and for whatever reason, you've lost connection to it.That loss of connection in some way, shape or form has and might still be, contributing to you feeling out of alignment, incongruent and out of touch with your inner being. It's okay, this happens, this is normal and sure, it's upsetting. But there is always a route back to reconnect to "it". Why do we lose connection to what matters? Why would we forgo something that's important for something that isn't? How do we claim "it" back and how long will it take? All of this and more in today's episode.JOIN THE LEGENDS The Legends - Check it out here! 20 spaces for 20 women.
