Life Is Not Just About The Before And Afters

Sharing the mess of life can be challenging and vulnerable, especially when we tend to celebrate the "before and afters". It's also incredibly brave and empowering. Social media and other forms of communication often present an idealised version of life, showcasing only the highlights and filtering out the messiness and struggles that are an inevitable part of the human experience.But when we have the courage to share the real and messy parts of our lives, we create space for authenticity, connection, and empathy. We show others that it's okay to struggle, to make mistakes, and to have imperfections. We give permission to others to be their authentic selves and to let go of the pressure to be perfect all the time.Sharing our vulnerabilities can be scary, but it can also be transformative. When we open up and share our struggles, we allow others to offer support and love, and we often find that we're not alone in our experiences. We can create deep connections with others and build relationships based on authenticity and empathy.So, while it can be challenging to share the mess of life, it's also incredibly brave and powerful. Consider This On Your Personal Development Journey

It's crucial to understand that personal growth and development is a continuous journey, and it's normal not to have all the answers and breakthroughs at once. We need space to process, to reflect, to integrate. We need to be patient with ourselves and our progress. Remember, the journey towards personal development is a process that requires time and effort, and there are bound to be twists, turns and setbacks along the way. Rushing to find quick solutions or trying to have all the answers at once can lead to frustration and burnout. Instead, focus on taking small, consistent steps towards where you want to go and trust that the breakthroughs will come in due time. The True Meaning Behind Giving ZEROFKS

In my world, giving ZEROFKS isn't about sticking the bird up to the world with fake, cocky confidence. To me, that is egoic protection and contributes to separation and carelessness between humans.  Giving ZEROFKS is about noticing and observing what thoughts, stories and beliefs are limiting you from expressing yourself, going after something you want or sharing with someone what's on your heart. What it's actually about is giving zero, or less, care, importance and airtime to what holds you back, so you can actually go after what matters. But first, you gotta look into the thought, belief and story, neutralise its power and then choose where you'd like to place your fks.In today's episode I share why giving ZEROFKS in this way is vital to our mental well-being and how it keeps us accountable for how we're living our lives. Next Best Step (VS) Next Perfect Step

There's a difference between the next best step and the next perfect step. A next best step is something we take that is in alignment with our core values and truth in that particular moment or phase of our lives. For example, you may be overworked, undervalued and treated poorly at work. Your next best step may be to take a leave of absence for some time, regroup, find your core essence again and rebuild your inner resources. This next best step will serve its purpose for a period of time. When you are full again, a new next best step will be ready to be taken. A next perfect step has a different energy about it. It's often created by the ego which will want to know if the next step is perfect, if it's right or wrong, good or bad and if it will lead to something worth taking the risk. This can leave us in indecision, doubt and heavy in the mind as the need to know that it's a good step is stronger than doing what is best for us in that moment. Today's episode goes into this concept in more detail as I share with you where I'm at in relation to this very topic and how I'm navigating it. What To Do When You Lose “It”

What is "it"? "It" can be your sense of self, connection to the Universe or faith, belief in your dreams, depth in your relationship or self respect. "It" is something that deeply matters to you and for whatever reason, you've lost connection to it.That loss of connection in some way, shape or form has and might still be, contributing to you feeling out of alignment, incongruent and out of touch with your inner being. It's okay, this happens, this is normal and sure, it's upsetting. But there is always a route back to reconnect to "it". Why do we lose connection to what matters? When Your Values Challenge You

Personal responsibility is one of my core values. It has been for some time and I'm pretty sure it will be for life. I think that because for the first two decades, this value was not my jam. I took little to no responsibility for life and played the victim card often. I feel as though this value empowers and propels me to take action towards the things that matter to my heart which helps me feel aligned, authentic and congruent. Recently, personal responsibility was put to test when a company failed to recycle soft plastics. For the last 3.5 years my family have been diligent in putting soft plastics in the one of four bins we have, so when the company informed the public that they had not been recycling and now the plastics will go to landfill, my heart sank. Not to mention, I went into blame mode and, "ah, well there's nothing I can do, right?"Turns out, there was something I could do. At the end of each month, Steve and I are coming together on the podcast to share real, raw and relatable when it comes to our relationship. Feeling Safe In My Body Again

**Please note, today's episode makes mention of sexual abuse.The end to 2022 was a special one for me. An end that I wasn't expecting, didn't plan but one that I'm sure a wiser part in me knew I was ready to experience. I share openly how much I experience anxiety, often saying to Steve (my partner) that in the last two years, this is the most anxiety I have experienced on a daily basis than I've ever recalled. It seemed odd to us both as I'm in a sweet place in myself and life.Part of me thought, "well, anxiety is something I need to suck up and live with." But another part of me said, "there is something more to explore to ease the intensity." I listened to that part of me and the right people at the right time showed up, and boy was it a profound visceral experience that I'll never forget.Listen in to the episode. Less Push, More Trust

My theme for this coming year (2023) is "Natures Way". As time goes on, it becomes more and more clear to me that what I want gets considered, yet what I need gets delivered. So this years theme seems truly fitting, surrendering to natures way, natures force. Nature has its own plan, its own patterns, its own connections. This teaches us to trust in a higher power, that there are connections forming which we might not see today, and that our place within the whole is becoming and will be revealed in time. Maybe not in my ego's time, but always, in time.Today's episode shares more about this theme, how I came to it (or rather, how it came to me) and already what it's teaching me.
