Kat & Steve - Relationships & Calling In Your Ideal Partner
Before we met, we had a pretty gnarly list of who we wanted to attract into our lives. Both our lists were specific in what the person looked like, what they had, how old they'd be and more. What both our lists didn't have was the essence of the person we wanted to be with and what the energy of our relationship felt like.Steve and I were friends and sought one another for dating advice. We couldn't even see that the person our hearts were seeking was right in front of us because we were list focused at that time. In today's episode we share what was on our lists, who we attracted in as a result and the wound that kept creating those lists to keep our hearts safe. Beneath The CBF Vibes
Prior to most work engagements, I have self talk that says, "I can't be bothered." It's a lazy, meh kinda energy I'm carrying around and I watch and observe it. What I've realised and accepted over the last nine years of business is that no matter how on path I am or how epic an opportunity may be, there's a part of me (the ego) that resists the work. Playing The Long Game
When I started my business I wanted to succeed really quickly. This was driven by the fear of and looking like a failure. I wanted overnight wealth, overnight engaged community and overnight full books. I guess that's kinda normal to want these things but when I was informed by trusted people and professionals that ...it'll take three years to build your brand and to build a solid, engaged communityit's not a business if it can't support your life; it's a hobbyit'll take ten years to be highly regarding in your field ... I wanted to give up. Ugh, who the hell wants to wait this long for this? Recently, my online community grew from 32K to 529K in a matter of four months. I wasn't doing anything new and applied no new strategy. I'd been plugging away for nine years, sharing my message, tweaking it, doing the inner work and showing up a little more each time as my authentic nature. Today's episode shares how grateful I am for past Kat who played the long game, delayed gratification, put her head down and bum up and stayed with what felt good, right and true. Following Through On The One-Percenters
I'm at that stage in my life where leaving the vacuum cleaner out after I make the house all shmick, isn't cutting it. I'm at that stage in my life where folding the washing and leaving it downstairs, when it belong upstairs and I'm going upstairs but refuse to take it with me, isn't cutting it.I'm at that stage in my life where leaving my clean underwear in the laundry, even though I need it every morning yet still don't bring it back into my bedroom, isn't cutting it. People, the one-percenters are ready to be addressed and I'm kinda liking how I feel when I follow through. It's actually quite amazing! Life Isn't Always "Good", And That's Okay
I've been pulling out the phrase, "this too shall pass", more and more recently, but different reasons. Typically I'd use this phrase when times are tough and less that ideal. Instead, I've been using this amidst an awesome moment that's full of connection, joy or celebration. And it's not because I'm being a Debbie Downer. It's been a habit of mine to live for the epic-ness and feel bummed when life returns back to "normal". I noticed myself being annoyed at the mundane-ness after something amazing took place either personally or professionally and felt the need to balance this out. I could see myself judging life, people or situations, looking for why it or they were not as good as yesterday.We often use the term, "this too shall pass", for tough times, but often when times are good, we cling onto the good feelings and feel underwhelmed when life returns to normal. I have been reminding myself that even the good times pass and it's to remind me that the beige-ness of life is okay. Kat & Steve - Relationships & Insecurity
If you've had those pangs of jealousy in your relationship that results in you being controlling, withholding of your love and distrustful, please, listen to today's episode. If you are in a relationship where your partner is insecure and acts out in controlling, withholding and distrustful ways, listen too. If you are single and are thinking, "shit, I think this was me in my last relationship", listen.Steve and I share two examples from our relationship where our security in self, the other and the relationship were challenged. We share how we handled those situations powerfully and with integrity, even though our ego's wanted to control the other in order to feel safe. We believe this share is important as many relationships end prematurely when one (or both) people are insecure in themself, therefore acting out and punishing the other.
