In dieser Aufzeichnung diskutieren Christoph Sorg, Wissenschaftler an der HU Berlin, und Jonna Klick, Autorin des Buches über Kommunisierung, faszinierende Themen. Clara E. Mattei, Professorin für Wirtschaftswissenschaften und Autorin des Buches 'Die Ordnung des Kapitals', diskutiert die komplexen Zusammenhänge zwischen Austerität, Faschismus und autoritärem Liberalismus. Sie beleuchtet, wie Austeritätsmaßnahmen die soziale Struktur zugunsten des Kapitals verändern, und verbindet dies mit historischen Beispielen autoritärer Regime. Mattei fordert eine Demokratisierung von Investitionen und reflektiert über die Hoffnung der nächsten Generation inmitten globaler Herausforderungen.

Andreas Folkers, Fellow am Max-Weber-Kolleg der Universität Erfurt und Mitglied des Frankfurter Instituts für Sozialforschung, erörtert die vielschichtigen Konzepte von Nachhaltigkeit und Resilienz. Er beleuchtet historische Ursprünge und die eurozentristische Perspektive des Nachhaltigkeitsdiskurses. Das Gespräch geht auf materielle Zeitlichkeit und die Herausforderungen der CO2-Reduktion ein.
