Reddit Parasite SEO to Get Podcast Listeners
E373: I met a guy using Parasite SEO on Reddit to drive listeners to his podcast. Writes detailed Reddit posts about trending and consistently hot topics. Manipulates Reddit a bit with upvotes. Changes the post text. Removes the details he wrote and replaces it with a recommendation to listen to his podcast to learn about the topic. The Reddit post ranks on Google. People go to the Reddit post → go to the podcast → listen → some people become regular listeners. Evil genius. As recommended in the episode: “Ranking #1 on Google Twice This Week Within 24 Hours” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXYoEF5886M “How Bobbi Althoff Got Drake as a Guest for Her 4 Month Old Podcast” - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD6ehuODLDY 00:00 Advanced Podcast Listener Strategies 00:05 Understanding Parasite SEO for Podcasts 00:56 Google Prioritization of User-Generated Content 02:40 Practical Steps for Implementing Parasite SEO 04:14 Using Reddit for Podcast Growth 10:59 Final Thoughts 12:43 This Podcast #podcastmarketing #digitalmarketing #parasiteseo #growthhacking

Taking the Longcut vs. Spending Time Looking for Shortcuts
E372: I meet a lot of people obsessed with get-rich-quick schemes and shortcuts. Something, however, I see time and time again is that the most surefire way to achieve one’s goals is to take the longcut. This means doing something one enjoys and sticking with it daily (or several times a week) - for years. Nobody is so dumb they won’t figure things out given enough time. But when you go from “opportunity” to “opportunity” you have to start anew each time. This episode is my rant on this. I give an example of a friend who built a company streaming music for pets on YouTube. He built it for 10 years with no outside funding and sold it for tens of millions of dollars. I give the example of myself - one year ago I was plateauing and almost gave up. But I believed if I stuck with it, I would figure it out. And I give a cautionary tale of a founder who was too eager to get to goals quickly, raised a bunch of money without doing proper due diligence, and got nothing when the company he worked for years to build was acquired. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Take the longcut. My social media posting strategy (as mentioned in the episode): https://edwardsturm.com/articles/social-media-posting-strategy/ 00:00 Persistence 00:04 A Friend's Success Story 02:04 The Reality 02:21 The Longcut vs. Shortcuts 04:25 Lessons from The Terminal List 07:41 My Social Media Journey 11:35 Sticking with It 13:44 Conclusion #entrepreneurship #persistence #motivation #consistency The Edward Show. Parasite SEO With LinkedIn Pulse: How It Works, Why It Works, and Examples
E371: Parasite SEO using LinkedIn Pulse. First, I share examples. Next, I share why LinkedIn Pulse works so well for Parasite SEO (using an established platform’s authority and engagement to put up your own SEO content and rank on search engines fast). Then, I give an in-depth breakdown of exactly how this is done. The spammy manipulative ways this is performed + the less spammy options. I also give alternatives. Just a reminder, I am not recommending any of this, but I think it’s important for digital marketers and entrepreneurs to know this exists. Do it at your own risk. And if you want to hear the episode (“Ranking #1 on Google Twice This Week Within 24 Hours”) mentioned in the podcast, here is the link: https://youtu.be/VXYoEF5886M 00:00 Introduction to Parasite SEO 00:09 Understanding LinkedIn Pulse for SEO 01:12 Disclaimer and Risks 02:18 Examples of LinkedIn Pulse Parasite SEO 04:41 Why Parasite SEO Works 06:49 How to Execute LinkedIn Pulse Parasite SEO Safely 12:20 Step by Step Summary 18:04 Conclusion #parasiteseo #seo #blackhat #searchengineoptimization

Do This to Be Seen as a Beloved Underdog
E370: How to paint yourself as the underdog, even when you’re the incumbent. It’s a quick hack to make yourself instantly likable. Find the incumbent in your niche - the mainstream - criticize them relentlessly. Done properly, it doesn’t make your brand appear weak; it makes your competitors seem exploitative to their consumers. Being the mainstream isn’t cool, being the underdog is. Works for incumbents too, though requires a bit more creativity, explained in the episode. 00:00 The Epiphany: Underdog Strategy 00:42 Criticizing the Mainstream 00:59 Elon Strategy 01:23 The Google Leak: Underdogs vs. Mainstream 02:50 SEO Strategies: Top vs. Bottom of Funnel 04:12 Peak Design vs. Amazon: A Viral Victory 07:37 Underdog Branding 09:45 Final Thoughts #branding #brandbuilding #marketingstrategy The Edward Show. LinkedIn Video Is Getting Turbocharged in the Feed
E368: LinkedIn video is getting prioritized in the main feed. Things people DON’T need to start making video for LinkedIn: - Good lighting. - A microphone. - A quiet room. - Sophisticated editing software (I used to only use the native TikTok app). - A good camera (I got my early audience on TikTok and Instagram (Nov 2022 – Oct 2023) shooting on the selfie camera of an iPhone 8). - More than five minutes a day. I've gotten hundreds of millions of views with business and marketing videos shot on the selfie camera of an iPhone 8 and edited in the TikTok app in a couple of minutes. An easy way to start taking advantage of LinkedIn’s priority on video if you don’t want *most of your existing followers to see you learning how to make video: 1. Create a company page. 2. Set up an automation with https://reusevideo.com/ so that your videos come out everywhere (including your company page). This is what I use. 3. That’s it. Your videos will take advantage of LinkedIn prioritizing visibility with video - while not deluging your existing following. An Easy Way to Capture Keywords Within Striking Distance and Get More Traffic
E367: Keywords within striking distance. Here’s how to increase your rankings for them. Look for keywords at the bottom of page one or the top of page two of the SERPs (search engine results pages). See which pages are ranking for these keywords. Expand your sections in these pages. Write more. Go as in-depth as is necessary on these keywords within that page. You don’t have to add an essay’s worth, but a few paragraphs. If you’re not directly using the keyword, make sure you use it. Proofread. Always proofread. Then submit your changes to Google Search Console. Take video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc - use AI lip dubbing tools, SEO the descriptions and rank on Google while growing your brand in a new market.
