Kara Winger is on the show today! Kara is a four-time Olympian and a World Championships Silver Medalist. She is a former American Record Holder and Diamond League Champion. She has accomplished all of this while throwing the Javelin.  I loved hearing from Kara about winning her first global medal last year. Kara is now retired from track and field and is working for Parity Now, a company working to change the game for women athletes through powerfully inclusive and equitable brand partnerships. Episode 469: Grace Norman – Paralympic Gold Medalist and 3x World Champion

Grace Norman is a three-time World Triathlon para champion in 2016, 2017, and 2022. She is a 2020 Tokyo Paralympic silver medalist, a 2016 Rio Paralympic Gold Medalist, an 8-time World paratriathlon Championships Medalist (3 golds, 2 silvers, and 2 bronze). She is a two-time USA Paratriathlon National Champion and a 13-time World Paratriathlon event medalist. Grace was born with congenital constriction band syndrome in her left leg at birth which resulted in the amputation of her left leg and right big toe below the knee when she was young. She competed in track and field and cross country in high school where she became the first female amputee to finish on the podium at a high school track and field state championships. Episode 467: Sage Hurta-Klecker – 1:57.85 800m Runner on Breakthrough Seasons and Training with On Athletics Club

Sage Hurta-Klecker runs for the On Athletics Club and is an 800m and 1500m specialist. She had a breakout year in the 800m last year, breaking 2 minutes for the first time and then continuing to do it over and over again. She went to the University of Colorado where she was an indoor NCAA mile national champion. She was a PAC-12 Champion in the 800m and an All-American. In this episode, we talk about her time at the University of Colorado and I ask her about her experiences there and what that time in her life was like. It has been so much fun to see her have some big breakthroughs in her professional running career so far!! After we recorded this episode, she was one of the pacers for Faith Kipyegon in the 1500m World Record race! I am so excited to see what Sage has ahead for her in her professional running career! Episode 466: Dani Moreno – 3rd at OCC; Seeking Adventures, Trail Running, and the Boston Marathon

Dani Moreno is on the podcast today! She is a sub-ultra trail runner. She is a four-time Team USA member, a two-time Xterra world trail champ, and a USA Sky Running Classic champion. She placed third at OCC, she was the first American to podium there. She was the fifth woman at the Golden Trail World Series in 2021. She is from LA and went to the University of Santa Barbara. She walked away from running for a bit after college and then found her way right back to her love of running. She tells us how she found her way to trail running in this episode. Dani is so adventurous. From skydiving to motorcycling to exploring mountains, anything that you can think of that is adrenaline-seeking, she has probably done it! Recently, Dani debuted her road marathon at the Boston Marathon and came close to running the Olympic Trials qualifier, which was her goal.
