Earth's Strange Twin: the Venus Paradox - Dr. James Garvin, NASA

Dr. James Garvin is the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Chief Scientist, currently focused on two main projects - massive terrestrial impacts, and the mysteries hidden beneath the clouds of Venus. Based off of lunar and Martian observations, Garvin believes that our models for the history of impacts on Earth might be nowhere near severe enough. Then there’s also the ambitious DAVINCI mission to Venus, which will launch in 2029 with the goal of getting a glance under Venus’ thick cloud atmosphere for the first time since the Soviet Venera landers of the 1970s. We talk impacts, solar system formation, oddities of tectonic activity in the solar system, and the twin history of Venus and Earth. Dark Matters of Astrophysics - Avi Loeb, Harvard Astrophysics

Dr. Avi Loeb is an astrophysicist and cosmologist who served as the longest running chair of the Harvard Astronomy Department, and who was an early advocate for the alien origins of ‘Omouamoua. During round two, we dive into unsolved questions of fundamental physics, the dark matter paradox, details of his mission to pull an alien object from the ocean floor off the coast of Papua New Guinea, and the possible need for something other than gravity alone to explain the cosmos. Biofields, Placebo, and Ritual - Dr. Richard Hammerschlag

Dr. Richard Hammerschlag is a retired professor of Eastern medicine who spent his career studying acupuncture and other biofield therapies. We speak with him about the search for mechanism in unconventional medicine, the delicate balance of the spiritual and the physical, conditioning the mind for openness to experience, and the ritualistic nature of health and wellness. Sumerian Mesoamerican Connection? - Lance Weaver, Geologist

Lance Weaver is a geologist, desert guide, and amateur archaeologist who explores alternative narratives of history since the last ice age. We catch up about new developments in his pole shift research before diving into his paleoarchaeological research on pre-Columbian contact between the Mediterranean and Meso-American cultures. Along the way we wrestle with convergent iconography on both sides of the ocean, bird gods with handbags, anomalous Sumerian artifacts, the true location of Babylon, and the Sons of Light. Pitfalls of Willful Ignorance - Dr. John G Williamson, CERN, Quicycle

Dr. John G. Williamson is a founding member of the Quicycle Society, and is back for a third conversation - this time about cosmological, electrical, and institutional questions. He is a veteran of CERN and the R&D division of Philips research who spends his days thinking about the unanswered problems in physics. In his view, there are foundational problems with key physical theories that scientists ignore at their own peril. Solutions to these inconsistencies will not be found at the end of a massively complicated equation that no one really understands - they will be found in the intuitive exploration of natural phenomena. We discuss the nature of the electron, possible causes for red shift, an explanation for charge, and the future of science. there are problems in physics that we can't keep ignoring Support the scientific revolution by joining our Patreon: https://bit.ly/3lcAasB Tell us what you think in the comments or on our Discord: https://discord.gg/MJzKT8CQub (00:00:00) Go! Teleology of the Universe - Philip Goff, Galileo's Error

Dr. Philip Goff is a philosopher and writer on panpsychism who has recently turned his attention to the teleological aspects of the universe. In his upcoming book he explores the radical idea that perhaps the appearance of humans, animals, and all other life isn’t just a random outcome of pure physics bumping into itself.. it’s a phenomenon that has a grander point on the scale of the universe. We talk about the teleology of life, making it through to the other side of ultra capitalism, the spiritual struggles of success, and much more. Strange Behaviors of Humans and Magnets - Arnie Benn, Quicycle

Arnie Benn is a writer, composer, designer whose recent work has been focused on the behavior of humans and magnets. In his upcoming book, the Animal in the Mirror, Benn explores the evolutionary patterns still at play in the human mind, with an emphasis on the animalistic aspects that tend to govern cognitive processes. For the Quantum Bicycle Society, he has been exploring material explanations for magnetism as a function of atomic orbitals shape. We talk about music, the endless project of maintaining the landscape of the soul, cosmological mysteries, and material explanations for atomic phenomena. New Gospel of the UAP - Dr. Diana Pasulka, American Cosmic

Dr. Diana Pasulka is a writer and professor of religious studies. Her most recent book, American Cosmos, is a plain-clothes investigation into the way beliefs are constructed, maintained, and exchanged at a cultural level. In it, Pasulka catalogues her journey through the highest echelon of the UAP world, and the surprising identities of the monastic mystics she found there. We talk about disclosure, belief, meaning, the speciation event, and covert government operations. Sub Atomic Architecture - Dr. John G. Williamson, CERN, Quicycle

Dr. John G. Williamson is a well-known researcher and author whose work on particle physics, nano electronics, and on the physical foundations of atomic phenomena has been cited nearly 14,000 times. During his time at the advanced theoretical and experimental group at Philips Research, Williamson was part of the project that designed the first solid-state single electron device, and was able to take measurements of electrons in the quantum state. and discovered that they were enormous; in certain conditions, they were tens of nanometers across. This discovery, combined with his skepticism over particle physics that he acquired during his time at CERN, set him off on a new quest: to be the first person to truly understand the nature of the electron. With his Philips colleague Martin van der Mark, Williamson started the Quantum Bi-Cycle Society, which explores the physical foundation for atomic phenomena and hopes to settle, once and for all, the mysterious nature of the atom. We talk to him about the architectural principles necessary to satisfy the equations of quantum mechanics, serious problems with the quark model, the relationship between spin and charge, and why the definition of time is not the same thing as the nature of time.  Support the scientific revolution by joining our Patreon: https://bit.ly/3lcAasB Tell us what you think in the comments or on our Discord: https://discord.gg/MJzKT8CQub #quantumarchitecture #demystifysci #physics  Check our short-films channel, @DemystifySci:  https://www.youtube.com/c/DemystifyingScience  AND our material science investigations of atomics,  @MaterialAtomics   https://www.youtube.com/@MaterialAtomics Join our mailing list https://bit.ly/3v3kz2S     PODCAST INFO:  Anastasia completed her PhD studying bioelectricity at Columbia University. Aliens Unlike Us - Dr. Anthony Aveni, Archeoastronomer

Dr. Anthony Aveni has been writing about the relationship between humans and our astronomical habitat for more than fifty years. His latest work is inspired by a renewed interest in a more... biological aspect of the cosmos: Aliens. In his new book, Aliens Like Us, he explores why our stories about extraterrestrial visitation are just so, so boring. Rather than imagining a true “other” reaching out and contacting Earth, we seem to just be inventing a capitalist dystopia *in space,* with alien visitors who are just extracting resources or looking for potential experimental subjects. Aveni proposes a more interesting way of looking at it, where instead of just imagining ourselves from the future coming for a visit, we actually come up with something truly interesting. I’ve been using Snipd for about a year and this app has been life changing. I listen to about 17 hours of podcasts a week and I want to take notes on 95% of them. Snipd makes it so easy to do. I can triple click my headphones and record a snip. The app also improves rapidly which is welcomed. It’s an easy subscription for me to pay.
