412. Fad Diets

Today I wanted to talk a bit about the history of different fad diets, and the likelihood of it leading to disordered eating.   One of the biggest things I run into when I start working with women, is they feel like they are eating too much. And when we really dig into this, often times we realize how little they have been eating. The concept of what a normal day of eating looks like, is often unclear for so many women. When we have a history of diet after diet, it can be so tough to shift this over night. In this episode I am diving deeper into how this can impact your results moving forward, and how it has impacted your current mindset!   Learn more about the 6 Month Program: https://drbethwestie.com/fhs-waitlist/

411. How to determine what foods are actually healthy?

Today I wanted to talk about the best foods to eat. I recently got a questions from a woman who was looking for some guidance on how to determine what is actually healthy and what is just marketed to be. She was specifically asking about low fat or no fat products. So I dive a bit into my thought process around this. There is so much conflicting information out there that it can really tough. So how do we determine what we should be looking for? In this episode I’m going to give you some key things to look for when you are looking at which foods to buy to help you move towards your goals!   Waitlist for the 6 Month Program: https://drbethwestie.com/fhs-waitlist/

411. How can I stay motivated to exercise?

Today I want to talk about motivation for working out. How do you stay motivated and encouraged to keep going on a fitness plan? There are a couple different thought processes we can have when it comes to exercise. The first being that the main goal of working out is to burn fat and burn off the calories of what I’ve eaten. When we start to venture down this road of thinking that the purpose of working out is to burn off food we are eating, or that its purely to achieve an aesthetic. This can be very frustrating when we don’t see that result we are looking so hard for. Losing motivation when this is your thought process is easy because the why connected to it is very surface level. In this episode I am diving into both this thought process, and a more positive way to approach exercise that makes staying motivated so much easier!   6 Month Female Hormone Solution Waitlist: https://drbethwestie.com/fhs-waitlist/

410. What is a healthy libido?

Today I wanted to talk about libido. One of the main questions I get asked is around libido and how to know whether or not its in a healthy place or not. The first thing I want to say is that having a libido is healthy, you should have a libido. If you have not had a libido Now the other thing to mention is that men and women are going to have differing libidos. For men often times they have a libido at any day, at any time. Whereas for women, often times our libido is higher around ovulation. We are going deeper into things that can impact libido, and what you can do about it!   6 Month Program Waitlist https://drbethwestie.com/fhs-waitlist/

406. Exercise & Metabolism

I am dedicating today's episode to discussing how exercise impacts your metabolism. Working on your metabolism involves so much more than doing some quick fat burning hack or high intensity workout. You can make small, consistent changes in your nutrition and lifestyle to enhance your metabolism and achieve those goals.  Metabolism is essentially how your body processes and converts into energy. The goal of this episode is to open the conversation around these issues and share ways you can improve your health. Female Hormone Solution Waitlist: https://drbethwestie.com/fhs-waitlist/

404. Minerals Make a Difference!

I am dedicating today's episode to minerals! Minerals, like magnesium, sodium and potassium are vital to long term health. Most of us don't get enough minerals from our food so I often recommend supplementing with electrolytes.  Without proper minerals our cells won't function efficiently and we actually won't get true hydration. The goal of this episode is to shed light on this topic and share ways to improve your health. Learn more about the 1 to 1 program here: https://drbethwestie.com/jumpstart-program/
