Thyroid issues stem from numerous factors, but what about genetics? Thyroid issues are often hereditary! As of right now, there is no genetic code that indicates a thyroid issue, but we see patterns throughout families.  Chances are, if you have someone in your family that struggles with thyroid, you may be at risk for the same issues. That being said, if thyroid issues are not apparent in your family, don't rule them out!
