163 - Q&A - Not Feeling Slimy & Fear of Reaching Out

This real estate agent training podcast is listener Q&A. These questions have some similarities; both focus on prospecting.  Question 1:  I’m struggling with not sounding so slimy and scammy when I follow up with leads. They all sound so annoyed that I would bother to reach out even though they just input their info on my website... I want people who want to work with me. Who seeks me out. Not click on a house they want to see so they have to put in their email address and phone number and then it’s just awkward because they don’t want to work with an agent/already have one.   Question 2:  I’m struggling with reaching out to people. I feel embarrassed like I’m trying to force a sale on someone. I understand this is a common fear. However, it is holding me back from prospecting.

In this episode, we are taking your questions! There are two questions on opposite ends of the spectrum. And the second deals with being too busy in real estate!  Question 1:  I'm a brand new agent and have not sold a house. 155 - Your People, Places, and Things

In real estate, you can build your business in many ways. Most people get into real estate, they think of ways they can reach out to people who are looking to buy and sell. Perhaps you are marketing to FSBOs, expireds, or focusing on open houses.  Not that there is anything wrong with these approaches, but they are usually the supporting acts for our major source of business: our sphere of influence. Your people, places, and things are the people you know, the places you spend time, and the activities you do.  Build your people, places, and things and you will always be a busy real estate agent.
