Speech Stories and Change with Aubrie Pohl – Ep. 195
Send us a textIn this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade connects with Aubrie Pohl. Aubrie is an NLP trainer (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and Life Coach who helps others to become more and more aware of the conscious mind while also working on self-development. Aubrie explains a lot about what NLP means and how we can make true changes by paying attention to the way we talk and act. Aubrie explains that specific behaviors that one might have are a reflection of what that person is feeling deep inside. We unconsciously reproduce these behaviors but we consciously can change them. In addition, the way we talk to ourselves and think about ourselves can also be the result of old traumas and experiences that are hidden somewhere deep inside… we just need to explore them. Can Men & Women Just Be Friends? with Emily Gough – Ep. 194
Send us a textIn this episode, Dr. Jade and Emily talk about all the nuances involving friendships between men and women. A male individual and a female individual don’t necessarily need to be romantically involved to have and nurture a true friendship. Not only are friendship and love two different things, but friendship can happen in any circumstance, regardless of gender. If you are in a romantic relationship, it’s also important to understand that your partner has all the right to have friends outside of the relationship. It can be harmful to the relationship itself to rely only on one person to ‘be happy’ and ‘enjoy life’. Humans need different connections with different people to feel fulfilled and it’s completely normal to have social interactions that don’t involve you. There’s no need to feel insecure or left behind. Tune in! Check out the Next Level Human sponsors! On Romance and Growth with Emily Gough – Ep. 193
Send us a textIn this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade and Emily Gough talk about the challenges of romantic and intimate relationships. Building a solid relationship with someone is a beautiful thing as we all know. All aspects of having a partner are important for our well-being: companionship, accountability, and support. However, we shouldn’t rely on somebody else all the time to be content in life, right? If we are always seeking for the other person to provide safety, security, and happiness we will start to develop a level of attachment that is simply not healthy. On the other hand, an honest relationship helps us go through life with much more joy and happiness. So, in order to have balance when it comes to relationships it’s really important to do some inner work and be open to having dialogues both with your partner and yourself. Tune in! On Male Struggles with Emily Gough – Ep. 192
Send us a textJoin this episode of Next Level Human Podcast as Dr. Jade and Emily Gough discuss the roles given to men over the years, and how it affects their actions and behaviors. On the other hand, it’s also interesting to note the influence that women have on these same actions and behaviors. However, both men and women are part of a larger group – the human group – so it’s important to see the whole situation from that angle as well. Dr. Jade and Emily highlight that the differences between males and females only happen up to a certain point. Passed that point, we can now start to analyze men/women struggles as human struggles, men/women battles as human battles, men/women patterns as human patterns, and so on and so forth. This idea applies not only to gender, but also to race, ethnicity, and many other human characteristics. Tune in! Check out the Next Level Human sponsors! On Contentment with Danny Coleman – Ep. 191
Send us a textWelcome to another episode of Next Level Human Podcast. As a follow-up to the previous episode, Dr. Jade and Danny Coleman continue talking about connection but focusing on the contentment part of it. We all feel, to a greater or lesser extent, moments of contentment throughout life and it’s really important to highlight these moments now and then to have a more fulfilled and joyful life. One of the most incredible aspects of life is that we tend to get happier as we get older, or at least more content. Maturity gives us a sense of calmness which makes us feel more content overall. In addition, sometimes with age comes regret and everyone regrets something they did or did not do at some point, but we should also choose not to ruminate on these regrets and decide to be grateful instead. On Connection with Danny Coleman – Ep. 190
Send us a textIn this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade welcomes Danny Coleman. Danny is the co-author of Next Level Tribe and today he gives his perspective on what it really means to create a human connection with another individual. Dr. Jade and Danny talk about the many ways to create deep connections: being approachable, asking questions, being kind, smiling at someone… these are all great ways to start creating meaningful connections, but it is one thing to start and another thing to maintain. Another important factor when it comes to creating and maintaining connection is being genuinely interested in what the other person has to share. Tune in to learn more about this topic. On Becoming Resilient – Ep. 189
Send us a textIn this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade talks about the concept of “becoming resilient”. Life throws at us an enormous amount of difficult situations and tough decisions where we have to take action, deal with them, and make our best to get over them. However, it can be very challenging to simply “move on” and we tend to get stuck on this victim mentality, overthinking and suffering for long periods. Suffering from old traumas and past situations every day can lead to certain behaviors based on anxiety, insecurity, depression, and fear. Not only that, other issues include blaming other people, seeing life as unfair, losing joy in life, and becoming extremely sensitive to normal things – which is the exact opposite of creating a sense of resilience. Metabolism Made Simple with Sam Miller – Ep. 188
Send us a textIn this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade has an interesting conversation on metabolism, different strategies for nutrition, and different approaches to weight loss with Sam Miller. Sam is someone who has been on the show before and provides incredible content online along the same lines as Dr. Jade. Today, he shares his perspective on these topics and on several other ones for those looking to be healthier. Sam highlights two major issues when it comes to weight loss for most people: a) they use the same strategy that their friend or colleague is using, or the same strategy that they saw online, and are becoming frustrated with the results they’re not getting and b) they can’t be consistent. Either because they are trying to diet down too aggressively or they don’t know how to continue to lose weight once they achieved their goal – which has to do with calorie intake and balancing macronutrients. Turning Pain to Purpose – Ep. 187
Send us a textPhysical pain and emotional pain are two types of experiences that are very similar but are treated differently by humans. When we get hurt physically and we see our body suffering, we seek help, relieve symptoms, or get medical assistance. However, when we are emotionally hurt we tend to ignore it, avoid it until we stop thinking about it, or obsess about it until it consumes our life. Two very discrepant treatments, right? In this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade explains these ideas for us, trying to clarify why we come up with these two different approaches. Addressing emotional pain and trying to turn it into purpose is often the best way to deal with the pain in the first place. But, for this to happen, we need to learn from the experience, and hopefully, teach the lesson to others. This is one of the basic principles for a next-level human. On Hormone Replacement in Menopause with Dr. Leita Harris – Ep. 186
Send us a textIn this episode of Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade welcomes Dr. Leita Harris, who is a Gynecology Specialist and Hormonal Replacement Therapy Specialist based in Corona, CA. Dr. Harris dives deep into the concepts of hormonal imbalance and bioidentical hormone replacement, demystifying some theories women tend to hear from their doctors and explaining the connection between hormones and weight loss. Dr. Harris also explains how she works with women clinically, explaining all the stages of hormonal production and how they affect the period of reproductive life. You will also learn that when women get to the stage of the menopausal transition, the body naturally produces less or no progesterone, thus causing a hormonal imbalance. This imbalance in turn causes all kinds of ‘roller coaster’ symptoms. Tune in! Check out the Next Level Human sponsors!
