A male individual and a female individual don’t necessarily need to be romantically involved to have and nurture a true friendship. Not only are friendship and love two different things, but friendship can happen in any circumstance, regardless of gender.
If you are in a romantic relationship, it’s also important to understand that your partner has all the right to have friends outside of the relationship. It can be harmful to the relationship itself to rely only on one person to ‘be happy’ and ‘enjoy life’. Humans need different connections with different people to feel fulfilled and it’s completely normal to have social interactions that don’t involve you.
