956: The Loneliness Epidemic with Community Builder Liz Forkin Bohannon

Statistics show that 97% of small business owners would say that they have felt really alone and unsupported in their journey. Though we have the opportunity to be more connected than ever, we are also lonelier than ever. If you’ve built a business, you’ve probably felt that paradox deeply. Today’s guest, Liz Forkin Bohannon, knows that connection isn’t just a feel-good value – it’s a radical, transformative growth strategy. Liz is passionate about women and girls living in extreme poverty. She spent time connecting with underprivileged women in Uganda and realized how important community is. She’s built her business, community, and life around the idea that we’re better together, and in this episode, we talk about what it looks like to build something that not only grows but brings people closer.  Join The Co-op – The Membership for Online Businesses Connect with Abagail Instagram All the Links! Episode Highlights How to Create Genuine Connection in Business. 954: How I’m Rewriting the Rules for a “Successful” Summer

What would your summer look like if peace, ease, and cash flow could just exist together? This summer, I’m breaking up with the idea that success requires intensity and redefining what’s truly productive! I used to believe that the more I worked, the more successful I would be. But I know that I want to work less. Those things are in direct competition with each other! What if you didn’t need to work harder for the next level? What if less effort actually created more results, space, creativity, and more cash flow? I have spent so many summers working in my office and feeling jealous of the people who were outside. I always felt obligated to be ‘in the trenches’ because I convinced myself that more work equals more success. And that is so wrong! This summer, I am rewriting those rules and testing what happens when I work less, focus more, and trust that space might be the missing piece between where I am and where I want to be.   Join The Co-op – The Membership for Online Businesses Connect with Abagail Instagram All the Links! You don’t need to hustle your way to the next level. If you’ve been stuck in the mindset that more effort equals more success, this episode will shift your perspective. It’s for the version of you craving sunshine, rest, and results—all at once. Let’s break the rules and do summer differently. Episode Highlights Why Hustle Isn’t Helping [0:02:15] Creating Space for Bigger Results [0:06:42] When Less Becomes More [0:11:03] The Truth About Productivity and Peace [0:14:20] Rewriting the Rules for Summer Success [0:20:18] Our Advertiser:FreshBooks – Get 50% Off for 6 Months Thanks for tuning in! 953: What Happens When You Don’t Want to Perform Anymore?

There’s so much pressure online to stay relevant, to constantly provide value, to always be on. But what happens when you don’t want to perform anymore, when peace starts to feel more urgent than praise? I’m learning how to show up as myself, without the mask, without the metrics, without pretending to be someone I’m not. I’m not hiding, I’m in transition! And I know I’m not the only one feeling this way. Join The Co-op - The Membership for Online Businesses Connect with Abagail Instagram All the Links! I believe in building a business that fits you, not one that’s been handed down like a rulebook written by someone else. If you’ve built any kind of online business in the past few years, you’ve probably been told, directly or indirectly, that visibility equals value. But lately, I’ve been asking: What if I don’t follow those rules? Who made them up in the first place? This episode is for the version of you that’s tired. The one that keeps wanting to slow down but feels like you’re supposed to keep up. I know you still want success, but on your own terms. So let’s talk about it! Episode Highlights How Performing Happens [0:03:32] Untangling Your Personality From Your Business [0:07:41] When Peace Becomes More Important Than Praise [0:11:36] What Really Happens When You Stop Performing [0:15:45] How to Stop Performing and Start Thriving [0:23:21] Our Sponsor: FreshBooks get 50% off for 6 months Thank you for listening! 951: Friendships in Your 30s and 40s: Loving, Losing, and Letting Be

I don’t know a single person in their 30s and 40s who doesn’t want deeper and more meaningful friendships. The last place I expected to get friendship advice was from Mel Robbins’ new book, The Let Them Theory. Today, I want to share the unexpected ways this book shifted how I think about making, retaining, and even releasing friendships, especially in the complicated season of adulthood that is your 30s and 40s.  Join The Co-op - The Membership for Online Businesses Connect with Abagail Instagram All the Links! There is an entire section in this book that talks about adult friendships. So, what is the ‘let them theory’ in relation to relationships? It’s all about relinquishing control instead of chasing, convincing, or over-managing relationships. It’s not about being cold or cutting people off, it’s about allowing people to be who they are without letting that affect your worth.  Episode Highlights The Great Scattering and How Friendships Naturally Change. [0:03:40]  How ‘Letting Them’, ‘Lets You’. [0:12:35] Fostering New Relationships. [0:18:53] Our Sponsor: FreshBooks get 50% off for 6 months Thank you for listening!
