Nettle bush leaders
My son saved my daughter from going in the nettle bushes but ended up going in himself. So often we have leaders who not only let us fall in the nettles, but they throw us there in order to save themselves. I'd like to see more leaders willing to serve and sacrifice a little to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their people. Would you like to see and experience this too? Maybe you already are... be sure to thank your leader for their heart. If you aren't, then it's your time. Email me at podcast@abty.co.uk and i'd love to be a source of encouragement for you.

You are the most important data point
Ever find yourself wanting the research or the evidence before you do something? Please don't forget that YOU are the most important data point. As a human, try things and reflect back on them to see if they left you better or worse. Do more of what helps, less of what hinders and that's how you become better than yesterday as opposed to being more average than yesterday. You are not average. There is no average human. So focus on being the best version of you.

Don't forget your null hypothesis
Dive into the intriguing concept of the null hypothesis and its power in our daily choices. The speaker emphasizes the importance of pausing before acting, advising listeners to question their assumptions. Not every situation demands immediate action; sometimes, inaction can be a valid response. By broadening your perspective, you can make more thoughtful decisions and avoid rash judgments. It's a refreshing take on decision-making, urging you to reflect before you react.

Mastery and Flow
There's a lot of focus on flow states at the moment. I don't believe you can separate flow from mastery, pressure and meaning. Clyde Brolin once reported that F1 drivers such as Schumacher and Hamilton would drop 10% if they were intellectually thinking about their braking spots and when to turn in. What's the 10% you're losing by being in your mind too much? Create more flow states by surrendering intellectual control and embodying your mastery.

Loving you is easy because...
Can you love these three versions of you?
Past version of you for getting you here
Current version of you for all that you are and the
Future version of you that is worth showing up for in this very moment

Your ability to respond
Everything in your life is your responsibility, once you realise everythign in your life is your responsibility - Dr. Bruce Lipton
Why? Because it regains the power for you to be able to respond rather than react.
Your chimp response becomes replaced by your chosen response.
This is self leadership.

Emotions aren't binary
Do you have a hierarchy of emotions?
My encouragement to you is to judge your emotions less, be more curious and to feel it all.
