EP23: Dreams, The Psyche & the Subconscious Mind

In this episode, Jared & I talk about how to analyze your dreams on a deeper level, instead of trying to look up the meaning of common dream symbols. Dreams are not logical or literal, so it is important to step away from the over-rational way of looking at things. Through this journey, we learn to be compassionate with ourselves and others. Jared is a Jungian Depth Coach who I met on Tik Tok and we have similar goals of spreading the word about healing through dreamwork and other spiritual practices. Jared is the host of Suspending Disbelief Podcast. EP22: Creative Inspiration for Artists and Designers

Ben Gabelman is a motion designer currently living and working in Atlanta. Ben has a long history of using his dreams for creative inspiration in his projects. In this episode, we talk about our dream journals and how it has played a role in our lives and journey as motion designers. Ben's short senior film ANIMA, details a shamanic journey through the dream state. The film is a mediation on the relationships between the conscious and sub-conscious mind, illness and mortality. The film was inspired by a series of dreams as well as shamanic art from various cultures around the world. The word Anima is the Jungian term for the subconscious personified. Jung believed that the Anima is only perceptible to one's self through the dream state. EP21: Lucid Dreaming for Self-Mastery & Entrepreneurship (Feat. Lana Sakwild)

In this episode, I talk to Lana Sakwild, an expert lucid dreaming coach, about how to incorporate lucid dreaming into your daily routine, and how to use your lucid space for personal development. We talk about how our dreams, both lucid & non-lucid, have given us ideas and information that have completely changed our path in life.  If you’re an artist, get lucid in your dreams and try to work on some creative blockages; paint with Salvador Dali, learn new techniques and tools with no limits, and ask your dream to show you what your best selling artwork looks like!https://www.lanasackwild.comLana is a lucid dream coach & scientific researcher. Her work blossomed from a thirst for exploration, knowledge, & adventure. As an inquisitive child, she first ventured into the world of lucid dreaming by playing with my nightmares, morphing the characters into cartoons & experimenting with the laws of physics. After 20+ years of experimentation with lucid dreaming & graduating with a MSc in consciousness, spirituality, and transpersonal psychology, Lana is now a successful transpersonal lucid dreaming and lucid living coach. She has dedicated her life to helping people redefine and reconnect to their purpose and awaken their unlimited potential. The Lucid Entrepreneur Lab utilizes scientific and transpersonal lucid dreaming and lucid living coaching that delivers results for ALL areas of your life. The Lucid Entrepreneur Lab is built on 25 years of Lucid Dreaming experience and a career path that includes working with hundreds of participants from all walks of life - musicians, artists, and WFH moms, to established business owners and lawyers - allowing them to break through even their most challenging psychological setbacks.Questions Lana answers in this interview:What is lucid living & why is it important to integrate it into our lucid living practice? How can I get involved in dream work if I have never had a lucid dream? EP20: Becoming the Captain of Your Own Life

Intrinsic Motivation & Becoming the Captain of Your Own Life The Dream World Podcast Book Club:  “New You! Who Knew?” David EdwardsAvailable on Amazon and www.davidredwards.com.   David was CEO of a Community Health Center creating the leading integrated, person-focused, primary care center in the country.  He realized that many people are missing core skills that if they had would make their lives so much better.  He left a well-paying job and embarked on researching and writing a book to help regular people learn the principles and skills needed to become the captain of their own life. David talks about how he has witnessed and contributed to the evolution of healthcare systems. He saw the need for a health system designed to actually heal. This is one that takes a whole-picture approach, looks at the patient as a whole mind-body & soul, involves nature in the environment, and focuses care around the patient’s needs. Nature has many metaphors that can teach us life lessons, and incorporating it into our healthcare aids healing and alignment. He started to teach others how to become the person they want to become by being the captain of their own life and relying less on external motivation or stimuli. He has studied the models of external and internal change and how it affects our thinking patterns and lifestyle. Keeping up with the change around us and in society is necessary to feel free and happy, but it is also important to navigate the change we direct in our own internal person. The person we are becoming evolves every day. Internal motivation goes a long way against obstacles when trying to achieve your life goals. How can we bear healthy fruit in our lives like a cherry tree with strong roots?Podcast Episode 9 reference: Signs of Reincarnation- The Evidence Based Research & Limitations of Science (With Jim Matlock)Timothy Francis Leary was an American psychologist and writer known for his strong advocacy of psychedelic drugs. Evaluations of Leary are polarized, ranging from bold oracle to publicity hound. He was "a hero of American consciousness"10 principles of intrinsic motivation: Values. Awareness. Learning . Intent. Planning. Action. Belief. Self kindness, Mindlessness. Judge less and think more. Awareness is an authentic attempt to become conscious of what is within andaround you. It is a relaxed and interested attention to what is happening. Theopposite of being aware is to be ignorant, blind, oblivious, or simply unaware.Blog Post on Feedback Fired! & Feedback? EP18: Interpreting & Understanding Your Dream Language

Holly Emmerson, from @DreamOracleHolly talks about how to understand your dreams by looking within and tapping into your highest self. It is better to analyze your emotions, patterns, and overall vibration of a dream before analyzing objects and characters. Because the dream world consists of the collective conscious, messages from dreams can be messages for the individual, for others, or for the collective. When you learn to understand your personal dream language, you can start to break down your dreams and truly use them to better understand and navigate your waking life. Many times, our heart and intuition will tell us more about our dreams than our mind will.  Holly created the Dream Oracle School, which helps others tap into their dreams, and awaken their own inner dream oracle.  Enrollment opens Feb 28th 2022.  Lucid Dreaming Clubhouse open chats hosted by The Dream World Podcast every Tuesday 12 EST. EP16: Using Your Dreams For Deeper Healing

It is your birthright to be empowered by your dreams! Dreams of the departed can bring us deep healing and closure, as well as allow us to continue a relationship with our loved ones from across the veil of life and death. Dreaming is a door for so many possibilities of soul growth, such as soul recovery, time travel, shadow healing, communication with ancestors, manifesting and so much more. The dream world is a space we can share with others both while we sleep and while we are conscious. We can set intentions for our ancestors to guide us through these adventures and we can even have shared dreams with our friends and family. Our guest today, Jaime Foster, is an expert lucid dreamer & dream healer who is trained in helping people re-enter their dreams in search of deeper meaning and healing. She talks about her experience training with Robert Moss, who laid the foundation for her work with communal dream therapy and soul recovery work. Many people might say they don’t dream, or haven’t in a very long time, and that is a good place to begin to search into past dreams for where their soul may be stuck. The dried leaves and stems have been smoked, applied topically, placed under the pillow, made into a tea, and ingested as capsules. Blue Lotus Flower The effects of lotus flowers date back to ancient Egypt with their wines and medicines; and have very similar properties to small amounts of other psychoactives. Mugwort  can help those with disrupted sleep, specifically those who wake in the middle of the night and have difficulty falling back to sleep.African Dream Root (silene capensis),  is a  herb native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa where people have long used it to treat fever and delirium and stimulate lucid or vivid dreamsEntada rheedii (African Dream Bean) A perennial climbing vine that is used by African traditional healers to induce vivid dreams that enable them to communicate efficiently with their ancestors. The seed increases one’s ability to fall asleep and stay asleep, as well as producing longer lasting, more vivid and memorable dreams.Galantamine & Huperzine A increases levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine therefore helping to promote memory and recall. Their primary effect is to block the normal breakdown of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Huperzine-A is a highly purified product of Chinese club moss. It’s been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of memory loss. Acetylcholine is associated with REM sleep phases and memory. So, when it builds up, your dreaming recall does too!Choline bitartrate & Alpha GPC(L-alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine)   have been demonstrated to improve mental focus, increase awareness and attention. It is also involved with lucid dreaming during REM sleep for enhanced learning during dream states. Choline is known to be important for memory functions as it is a component of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine responsible for short-term memory. Short-term memory allows you to pay attention to what is going on around you at the moment. The Dream Joint Website  Jack's Music Send us a textSupport the showFollow The Dream World PodcastVisit Our WebsiteInstagram @TheDreamWorldPodcastTik Tok @aminasdreamworldSpotifyFacebookLucid Dreaming Online Course
