Dr. Scott Dickenson: Neck Training and Treatment of Cervical Spine Dysfunction with Neckslevel

In this episode of the Brawn Body Health and Fitness Podcast, Dan is joined by Dr. Scott Dickenson, PT, DPT, ATC, to discuss the cervical spineand use of the neckslevel device in treatment/training of the neck. After finishing his schooling at two of the top-ranked Physical Therapy programs in the country, Dr. Scott Dickenson, PT, DPT, ATC decided to take the problem of neck pain, and how to get rid of it, into his own hands. As an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Scott was treating patients with neck pain daily, but there was something missing. The tool his patients needed didn’t exist. A portable, versatile device designed for neck pain relief, neck muscle strengthening, and neck mobility wasn’t available, but he had an idea. An idea that would send him down the path of invention and product development, motivated by the opportunity to better serve the people with neck pain that he treated in the clinic every day. After years of prototyping in the garage, developing with mechanical engineers, and field testing the NecksLevel device in physical therapy clinics, Dr. Scott Dickenson had created the world’s first all-in-one neck rehabilitation device. This portable, versatile piece of equipment delivered as promised. Time and time again, Scott watched his patients with neck pain, neck stiffness, headaches, and neck tension find relief for the first time. Somehow, some way, his idea-turned-product was now being successfully used in PT clinics across the country. Today, just a few years later, the NecksLevel device is the neck pain relief tool of choice for professional sports teams of the NFL, NHL, and NBA. Now, Scott’s goal is to streamline neck pain rehabilitation for physical therapists, chiropractors, and the patients they serve. The NecksLevel device is Scott’s way of continuing his promise to his patients. Neck pain relief for all. Recently, I featured Dr. Brian LeRiche on the podcast, where we discussed Performance Redefined. I have a question...
