199. Matthew Abrams: How to Reach Your Fullest Potential - Revisited

“I actually am more brother and sister with people that are across incredibly diverse paths and walks of life than I had ever imagined.” I feel super pumped to re-release this powerful episode almost three years after I first recorded it. But as I listened back, it struck me how relevant this conversation is to the world we’re experiencing now. I first met Matthew Abrams when he was facilitating a mastermind. At the time, I was starting to dive into my inner work with more depth and intensity and Matthew stood out for me as someone who’d really mastered this dimension. I noticed it in his presence, in the way he communicated, and in the way he was able to hold space for people from all walks of life - and then guide them forward powerfully. This episode is about collective evolution as much as it is about individual development. Matthew addresses the sensitive issue of privilege, religion, and the barriers to wholeness in ourselves and as a collective. Could understanding that we all have a different piece of the puzzle help us find common ground and unite as one? “If you don’t know the injustices that we live in, in these days, you’re hiding under a rock.”In his work, Matthew is a facilitator who supports entrepreneurs and leadership teams through the EOS framework. EOS is a proven system that’s been implemented into thousands of companies with resounding and consistent success. Matthew is part of a small, global team who’s been trained in these processes. Here’s a taste of what you’ll experience:Why did Matt's life begin when he was 27.The role of curiosity in our lives. Privilege: How society supports Matt to NOT be curious about himself and how it influences how he sees the world. What causes ‘otherness’, religion, and how we get fragmented as humans. [The conversation Matthew has with his fears when they show up.The 5% ‘edge’ - why we avoid it, and why it’s where the magic sits. The story of Matthew’s parents’ divorce. The discipline to do the ‘work’ and two powerful reflection questions to ask yourself. And more...Brace yourselves for a deep discussion about courage, curiosity, and the need to understand yourself - so you can understand others. It’s a conversation that can get uncomfortable. Matthew acknowledges this, but inspires us to go to the uncomfortable edge because that’s where all the growth lies. I was so inspired by Matt’s presence and his philosophies - and Im sure you will feel exactly the same. “There’s something in the space between you and me, that’s magic. And only together through curiosity and exploration and a commitment to that pursuit, can we find it.”How to contact Check out the work Matthew does with leadership teams in companies and how supports CEOs and founders at www.matthew-abrams.com. We thrive on your feedback, so if you’ve enjoyed this show, please rate us and leave us a review. 197. Andy Drish: How To Build Relationships That Last For A Lifetime

“You can be with one person for a lifetime, but within that lifetime, you will have many different relationships with many different contexts throughout that time period.” Because we’re not taught how to craft them, most people are ill-equipped to cultivate great relationships. Most modern relationships don’t model the Disney fairytale fantasy! Instead, we get stuck on codependency and disappointment - leading to relationship deaths, unfulfillment, and painful break-ups. It doesn’t have to be this way...If we learn how to create interdependence from a place of individual sovereignty, a relationship can remain satisfying for a lifetime. If you want your relationship to constantly grow, deepen, and last for a lifetime, there’s no better teacher than Andy Drish. Andy is the one of the few people I trust to help me navigate the art of intimacy and being in a lasting relationship. Andy also has one of the most beautiful relationships I’ve ever had the privilege to observe and learn from. Together, Andy and LIbby have created a powerful container which they lean into to help them grow. In this episode, Andy dives into EVERYTHING that it takes to build a relationship for a lifetime including:Why are people resistant to leaning into endings? How do you know when to end a relationship and when to navigate into a new space. What happened when Andy’s partner dated another guy for a week. What shifts when you tap into your feelings instead of your mind. Reinventing yourself after you hit a peak. Eliminating fear as a fuel source. Understanding the four stages of relationship and how to move through them. And more...As we step into new ways of being collectively, we also need to redefine how we behave and show up inside of our closest relationships. In this episode, Andy shares profound wisdom and insights that have the potential to evolve your relationship - whether you’ve been together for years or you’re just starting out. If you want to build a relationship where the love can last a lifetime, this is one episode you’ll want to check out.  “I care about people having healthy relationships because I think everything in life is better. 192. Kyle Brown: How To Alchemize Hustle Into Surrender & Flow

“The truth is heart-centered. The truth just beams from your master source of intelligence, which is your intuition.” Kyle Brown was fully invested in the hustle culture. He played competitive water polo in college and was also a competitive bodybuilder. His lifestyle revolved around pushing and going and everything he did was focused around competition and competing against himself. But that all changed in January 2019 when Kyle got sick to the point of near-death. He was diagnosed with double pneumonia. He had sepsis too and his organs were shutting down. Until this point, Kyle was a healthy, strong individual who was 5% lean all year around. He didn’t take any kind of pharmaceuticals and he believed mind over matter was enough to push through anything. Suddenly, Kyle was faced with a situation that his default approach couldn’t solve. He had to surrender and hope that antibiotics would save his life. In this moment of surrender, Kyle realized that his striving lifestyle was actually digging a grave. He began asking different questions… Was there a better way to live? In the process, Kyle discovered a new path to health and balance - a journey we explore in this powerful episode. “The mind serves its purpose but it is not the master communicator, nor the master of intellect.” Kyle Brown has empowered busy entrepreneurs for roughly two decades to break down barriers to achieve physical, mental, and emotional mastery. This is a process he calls Rapid Harmony. World changers, top CEOs, Fortune 500 companies, professional and Olympic athletes, and countless celebrities have worked with Kyle to develop a sustainable, fit, happy, peaceful, aligned and balanced lifestyle. Kyle is also the CEO and creator of FIT 365®, an all-natural, delicious, gourmet meal in a shake.  In this episode, Kyle and I explore: What is EFT tapping? How healing can happen instantaneously. The power of acknowledging your radio station. Cultivating self-trust and surrender. Kyle’s near-death story and how it transformed his perspective on life. How to create a surrendered lifestyle and way of being. Healing guilt and shame with EFT. Why anger is a key part of any transformation. A simple practice for exposing your inner critic. Why it’s not selfish to receive. And more... “You have to be pissed off with the status quo enough to want to change.” If you enjoy this episode, please remember to rate and review the show because it helps other like-minded people find us. 191. Raj Jana: Befriending The Inner Critic. A Tale Of Self-Leadership

“Your inner critic is actually meant to serve your brain. It’s not meant to hurt you.” The month of July was hectic, heartbreaking, and healing for me. An incredible friend of mine passed from stage 4 cancer, and yet again, end of life taught me some potent lessons, which I share in this episode. Looking back, it’s clear to me that this month’s events have allowed me to become deeply intimate with the critical, judgy voice in my head. The voice that scolds me for not being enough, not doing enough, or the  “fact that I should have known better.” (how many of you are familiar with that one?!)Thanks to these experiences, I was able to gather some deep insights into the role that my inner critic plays in helping me experience the life I desire.“It takes a daring level of vulnerability to own your shortcomings.” I don’t believe that the negative voices in our minds are here to stop us from being happy. And when we can find the compassion in our hearts to hold space for the voice of our inner critics to evolve, we create more holistic internal operating systems that serve our highest and best good while empowering a culture of ease and grace.  As usual, my dear friend Georgina El Morshdy is here to hold space, provide reflections, and help us navigate this important conversation about self-leadership and learning how to heal the judgy voice of your inner critic. Here are some of the key takeaways you’ll hear us discuss: What it means to be a leader. Why we have an inner critic and how it keeps us safe. Tristin’s passing, the commissioned painting, and what it taught me about self-trust. Where the voice of judgement originates [and how to spot it in your external world].Judging the ‘Tornado in a t-shirt’. How the inner critic protects you. And more…I hope you find this month’s reflection episode illuminating and thoughtful as you learn to love yourself in deeper and more magical ways. This is the beautiful work that will change your life. If you enjoy this episode, please rate and review the show. You can also DM me on Instagram.
