182 - 3 Powerful Ways to Create Time for What Truly Matters with Lissa Figgins of REDEEM Her Time
Do you love to nerd out on colorful pens, highlighters, and pretty planners like I do? But I can’t tell you how many planners I’ve bought with such good intentions that have ended up on my shelf collecting dust. The truth is that our time management relies on the postures of our hearts. Today’s guest, Lissa Figgins, is a faith-driven Life Planning and Time Management Coach. Through her REDEEM Her Time Podcast, coaching, speaking engagements, and facilitating sessions, she empowers women to be more present in their lives and focus on what truly matters, both in the present moment and in light of eternity. Three things you’ll learn in this episode: How to identify who and what matters in the season of life you’re in. The value of aligning our hearts before overcommitting. How to allow God to guide your steps in every area of your life. To connect with Lissa, head to: Website: https://redeemhertime.com Podcast: The REDEEM Her Time Podcast "We're hearing the voices of everyone and everything around us. It's about getting quiet and then learning, even in that silence, how to quiet our spirits so that we can turn off our internal voices. This way, we can actually just be, listen, and let Him fill us and direct us." - Lissa Figgins TAKE THE PERSONALITY PATTERN QUIZ! ASK MICHELLE A QUESTION! 181 - Q&A: How Do I Tell if I’m Actually Calm & Regulated or Just Numb & Dissociated?
We often talk about mapping the state of our nervous system so we can recognize when we’re feeling dysregulated and use our tools to bring safety back into our body and ease out of a stress response. But do you ever question whether you’re actually feeling calm and regulated, or you’re numb and not feeling much of anything at all? There is overlap between the ventral vagal (regulated) and the dorsal vagal (shut down) states and sometimes it can be tricky to distinguish the two. In today’s bonus Q&A episode, I give you 5 questions to ask yourself to distinguish whether you’re actually in a calm, regulated state or if it’s more likely you’re experiencing numbness, dissociation, and burnout.
