Surrender To What Is | Guy Lawrence
#162 Recently, I had the pleasure of jumping on the Self Love Podcast with Kim Morrison. We had an incredible conversation as we dove into the topic of self-love. Now as a man, I don't find myself diving into some of these conversations that often, but I felt what was unearthed through Kim's questions and guidance is an important topic and I wanted to share it with you listeners here. Enjoy! :) About Guy: Guy Lawrence is a coach, speaker, podcaster, wellness advocate and entrepreneur. Originally co-founded natural supplement company 180 Nutrition in 2010.180 Nutrition became one of Australia's leading natural proteins was a Telstra business awards finalist and gained multiple national media exposure or their efforts. Guy also founded the no1 ranked iTunes podcast 'The Health Sessions' achieving over 2 million downloads whilst interviewing some of the worlds pioneering health experts and New York times best-selling authors. With over ten years in the health and fitness industry, Guy has also explored many facets of health including what's deemed 'alternative' and the measured effects on the body; from using meditation and neuroscience to create altered states of consciousness, shamanic rituals, cold exposure and breath work to name a few. Show Notes From The Original Podcast:"I truly believe if I want my daughter to be happy, then I need to be happy. If I need her to express love then I need to express love. If I want her to… whatever that might be, I know I need to be that person myself. So the more I can work on myself slowly each day, bit by bit, small gains every day instead of trying to compress everything for a month and then forgetting about it doesn't work like that right? So the more I see Ava the more it makes me want to work on being the best version of myself so I know that it will reflect directly back in her as well." Guy Lawrence This is a phenomenal interview with an extraordinary soul. Guy Lawrence is a coach, speaker, wellness advocate and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Let It In, a program designed to help people bridge the gap between the life they live and the life they truly want to live. using meditation and the language of neuroscience. This is facilitated via live workshops, retreats and the online Live In Flow membership-based community program. He also supports people via his podcast called 'Let It In with Guy Lawrence'. These include conversations with pioneering experts that go well beyond conventional health, wealth, and wisdom to inspire change in our lives. We talk about how our thoughts drive behaviours and how the four pillars of wellness can show us how to do life with courage ~ awareness, acceptance, intention and inspired action can help us to do life well. We dive deep into the neuroscience and how we can lean into ourselves. We need to reclaim our power and energy, create habits, rituals and practices, and take action in this work. Create stable foundations and intentionally direct ourselves towards what it is that we truly want, based on how we feel. These skills are required to do humanness well. One of the best practices Guy recommends to feel completely safe and aware is in meditation and having gratitude. The greatest meditation you do is when your eyes are open not when we close our eyes in silence for 10 or 30 minutes a day. Learn to generate real feelings of gratitude to connect back in. Like sitting in nature for two weeks as you can imagine would revitalise us in ways we cannot even articulate. The heart is a great gateway and a beautiful part of our body to bring awareness for gratitude. If we are not willing to practice self-preservation then the future self may stay locked. You can energetically connect with yourself and others more easily. He said the most simple things in life are often the most beautiful and it makes you question what really matters. And his greatest message is to look fear in they eye and surrender to what is. And one of the most beautiful parts of this conversation is each time Guy mentions his precious baby daughter Ava. #160 My amazing guest this week is Michael Sandler. Michael is a best-selling author, speaker, entrepreneur, and the co-host of the popular Inspire Nation show. He is also the co-creator of Inspire Nation University and the Automatic Writing Experience online course. Our talk today revolved around the concept of elevating consciousness and increasing our awareness in life. Sometimes we can lose our identity and our way a little bit, and that's okay. We're here today to tell you about how you can tap into yourself and allow for your inner wisdom to flow, through Automatic Writing. We will talk about some tips that can help you see what is going on in your subconscious and how you can put a stop to negative patterns such as self-sabotaging. About Michael: Michael Sandler is the co-host of the popular Inspire Nation show, a transformational, self-help, spiritually focused podcast and YouTube channel, along with his wife, fellow coach, and teacher, Jessica Lee. He is a best-selling author, speaker, entrepreneur, visionary, coach, and the cocreator of Inspire Nation University and the Automatic Writing Experience online course. Having been a world-class athlete and coach, competing at the international level in cycling, along with being a competitive speed-- skater, Ironman triathlete, and runner, Michael has applied those same training skills to being a life coach to teachers, leaders, and visionaries. He is a life-long meditation practitioner and meditation teacher. Two near-death accidents led to the conception of the Inspire Nation show, the creation of the Automatic Writing Experience, and the writing of this book. These devastating accidents led Michael to a much deeper understanding about the world, of Spirit, and of our connection to something greater than ourselves. He calls this "getting the big picture" and from that this book emerged. Once driven purely by performance and results as an endurance athlete, Michael survived the near-fatal accidents that cracked his heart open and helped him discover a kinder, gentler way of moving through life--one that arguably makes an even greater impact on others and the planet. That's what he calls being an open-hearted warrior--and to his mission to elevate consciousness, shift humanity, and help people truly discover their greatest self. Despite twin titanium femurs and hips, as a result of the accidents, he continues to run, skate, and play in the mountains or explore the world in an RV with Jessica and his three kitty cats, along with Roo Roo the Wonder Rooster--always in prayer, always connected to Spirit.
