Episode 131 - Neville Wright
Neville Wright is an Olympian, a National Champion, a Role Model, a Dad, a Performance Therapist, and a Public Speaker. We talked about life, and what shaped him into the athlete he became. How leaning into seeing the positives in life and focusing on athletics enabled him to focus his energy on things that would help him rather than things that might hurt him. Neville shared with me how he had to take a break from training, how he had a coach that believed in him and how he sees so much potential in kids. He's a great guy to talk to about resilience because he knows all about overcoming and rising to the challenge. I hope you enjoy this episode! Episode 130 - Kimberly Haley
Kimberly Haley (@kitesandpumps) is the host of the Ask The Right Questions Podcast (asktherightquestions_podcast).In this Episode, we talk about what brought her to being a Certified Neuro Muscular Therapist and Wellness Coach. We talk about her 5 favorite people (among so many other people who are her favorite) and we talk about emotions. It's a pretty loaded episode that jumps from music, to how she met her husband, to her high school experience to gardening but we were able to discuss a lot of meaningful things and she gives advice to her 15 year old self. I really hope you get a chance to go check out her podcast after you listen to her episode here. Thanks for listening! Episode 129 - Calvin Martin
Calvin Martin (@calvinjmartin) is half of @stepbrothersnyc which is a collaboration between him and @thelifestylechase alumni, @bryanbaia . I think this is the most I've ever laughed in recording an episode of The Lifestyle Chase. We talked about Calvin's start into the industry and he opened up about some really tough moments in his life. We can expect to face difficulty but it's what we do afterward that makes up the biggest moments in our life. Calvin talked about his passion for working with youth, the future of tomorrow, and where that stemmed from. We talked about how important it is to be yourself, and be genuine with social media solidarity. We have to be ready to stand up for and with our brothers and sisters for the next 20 000 days or so, so how does that look for you?It goes without saying that we talked about things here and now, #blacklivesmatter, #COVID19, and all of the things that have made 2020 what it is. However, if you find this podcast in 2020, I think it will leave you with plenty of takeaways. Did you plan that hike in your week, or did it take a pandemic for the hike to happen. Are we telling our people that we love them and really soaking in the time that we get with them, or are we waiting for a pandemic to happen. This episode is a must-listen, and I know that seems kind of biased because it's me (Chris Liddle) typing it out and of course I want you to listen, but I think you should go listen regardless. Thanks for supporting The Lifestyle Chase, go check out my episode with Bryan, and then skim through the past guests because I can almost guarantee you'll know someone else or have something to learn from one of the many many past guests. Episode 128 - Semaj Hunter
In this episode, Semaj talks about his experiences in following his passion. He loves connecting with people, which is a big part of what makes the fitness industry so rewarding for him. He's accomplished quite a bit in his career so far and been in a lot of different environments. There have been many opportunities where he's needed to do be two feet in and make the most of the opportunities that life presents. We talked about travel, how he met his wife, and how COVID-19 has changed him. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. Go check it out. You'll likely see lots of familiar names in past episodes of The Lifestyle Chase. Go check them out too. Get full access to Insight by Chris Liddle at chrisliddle.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 127 - Isatu Fofanah
Imagine you're a little kid, and you're born amidst a civil war in Sierra Leone. All you want to do, is be a kid, go to school, have fun, get good grades and live your life. Sometimes life just doesn't work that way. That's what we're here to hear about. It's that simple desire to live a happy life that eventually brought Isatu Fofanah to Canada. Isatu is a laser focused individual who has enjoyed being athletic from a young age. There is no doubt to grow up in Ponoka, AB would be out of her comfort zone coming from Sierra Leone, so she had to make some serious adaptations. It seems after all these years she's still not much of a fan of our climate or our snow. But despite everything that might seem like a major obstacle to someone like me, she rose to become a track star with a scholarship in the states and represented Canada on the global stage in track until she eventually had to retire due to injuries. However, that doesn't mean that chasing after goals is over for her. She finds a great purpose in training people and finding their greatest potential and she has big goals for the future. Go learn about Ice, find out what makes her who she is. Thanks for supporting The Lifestyle Chase! Get full access to Insight by Chris Liddle at chrisliddle.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 126 - Kehinde Anjorin on a Grandmother‘s Resiliency and Showing up Big
As the host of The Lifestyle Chase, I've been able to learn so much by meeting new people. I met Kehinde via Lucy Hendricks. Quite often I just go on this spider web of person to person and it reminds me that the world is truly not as big as we think it is. There are so many ways that we can connect with each other and support each other. We can be that warm hug or that safety net. Kehinde shared with me how much her grandma taught her about resiliency, and about keeping a positive in tough times, and from what I learned about her, the legacy of her Grandma is very present in how she shows up to the world. 2020 has been one of those years that has knocked people on their ass in so many different ways. It's challenged us to take a look at what we're doing and how we can do better. It's challenged us not to apply what we learned in a fancy certification to our client, but to apply what works best for that client. I really enjoyed this episode, you should listen. Get to know Kehinde with me. Get full access to Insight by Chris Liddle at chrisliddle.substack.com/subscribe

Episode 125 - Anthony Zorzetto
Today I interviewed @mr.zorzetto . This episode is also available in video on YouTube. Unlike past guests, he is not in the fitness industry, he's not a professional athlete, but he appreciates how fitness changes his life for better and surrounds him with people who hold space. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀If you've listened to Anthony on a podcast before, this is a completely new conversation. Anthony used to do coke, he struggled with addiction. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀We leaned into a lot of topics. I've never interviewed anyone in the way I interviewed Anthony today. It was uncharted territory. I was extremely honest and at times very scatterbrained. I am shook up over the world's events. I think I gave @2ndfloorpodcast a shout out at least twice because I genuinely enjoyed their episode with Anthony's struggle with addiction. I said why I enjoy following @kenny_bhullar and seeing him carry out his passions.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀We talked about listening. We talked about how I learned more about Ramadan this year and I loved it. We talked about admitting we are horrible at things or that we struggle. We talked about diversity, why we need it, and seeing something in someone because you've been through it or you've got a connection with it. Making those connections. Seeking those connections. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀We talked how people LOVE to like happy posts where you're winning and they avoid and get uncomfortable with posts that make them sad inside or cringe. We talked about the connection we were having as two people talking on a friday morning and how we need to put ourselves out there to get that in life. Thanks for listening! Episode 124 - Katie St. Clair
Katie St. Clair (@katie.stclair.fitness) has years of experience in the industry. She has a personal understanding of chronic pain which was a huge takeaway from this episode. If perhaps meditation on its own is something that makes your life worse, I'd really like you to listen to this episode to learn more about Katie and perhaps get something from her life's experiences so far.If you are about to be a mother, worried about your strength before pregnancy vs after pregnancy, we talked about that. Katie shared many of her struggles that are specific to her being a female. We talked about how she spent most of her career without females to look up to as coaches or mentors which was a big "why" for her creating the Female Fitness Alliance https://www.katiestclairfitness.com/Femalefitnessalliance Regardless of who you are or what you do, there is going to be something for you in this episode. Whether it's people in our lives, people who've raised us, people we train, people we live with. We're all beginners in some faced. We're all trying something new.As you listen to episodes of The Lifestyle Chase, I want to know who is out there. Put faces to the analytics. Episode 123 - Kayla Alexander
Kayla Alexander (@kjalexan40) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association. She played college basketball for the Syracuse Orange. She's a devoted Christian and a published author and illustrator. You can find more of her creative side at kaylaalexander.net. Kayla played seven seasons in the WNBA, most recently for the Chicago Sky. She played her first five WNBA seasons for the San Antonio Stars, one season for the Indiana Fever, and this past summer she was picked up by the Chicago Sky.Kayla Alexander attended Syracuse University from 2009-2013 on a four year athletic scholarship. She graduated as the women’s program’s all-time leading scorer.A lot of this description comes from her bio on her website. What you're going to learn when you listen to this episode is that it's the little things that add up to the big things. The ability to receive feedback in a way that empowers you to work with all kinds of different coaches. One of her driving passions is that she wants to make a difference for youth. Her "why" for what she does is to pass on the support she received in her earlier years to others in their earlier years. One of Kayla's goals is to provide for her family. I think many people in the world are going to feel this way. If someone does everything they can to make you the best version of yourself it inspires you to give back. Overall, there are a tonne of takeaways for young athletes and people facing uncertainty in their future. Lots that people can relate to and be inspired by. If you enjoy this episode, please share it on social media and help The Lifestyle Chase grow. This is a big passion project of mine and I'd love to be able to build on it each episode.
