Shaman Durek - Transforming Your Life Through Spiritual Hacking

Are you ready to completely change your perceptions on reality and experience change like never before?  If so, then I’ve got two words for you Shaman Durek.    In hands down one of the most soul stirring interviews I’ve ever had, stay tuned into the show and be a part of an uplifting biohacking experience that is certain to change your views on everything you know and believe in.   About Shaman Durek Although he was destined to be a Shaman because of his lineage. Durek had at one point in his life completely pushed the thought of becoming a Shaman away.  Durek then went on a walkabout and chose otherwise, thus becoming the shaman he is today.  Descendent from the West African country of Ghana. Durek’s ancestors were the village medicine people.  As a result of slave trade and colonialism. Durek’s ancestors ended up practicing Lukumi (The merging of African shamanism and modern Catholicism) The merge has had its challenges since the two (African Shamanism and Catholicism) really contradict each other.  Durek for example has always had a view of Shamanism as freedom, liberation, acknowledgment and relationship with everything around you.  On the other hand, Durek views religion as a clause. With consequences as a result of the choices you make.  Growing up and going to school in America was always tough for Durek. Sharing his experience of seeing, feeling and talking to spirits had other kids label him as crazy or evil.  It’s thus been a long journey of trying to incorporate shamanism into the mainstream for him.   The principles of Shamanism You as a human being, already have higher consciousness within you. The only problem is that you haven’t aligned your synapsis and neurological system in order to input the frequencies and codes in your body.  Distractions and inflammations from the environment you are subjected in, is what’s preventing this alignment from happening.    Shamanism is about enhancement and elevation.  To accomplish this, you first need to closely observe your reality and remove the resistance and constrictions that are stopping you from being fully optimized.  These constrictions are belief systems are as a result of what you’ve been taught to understand about yourself and the world you live in. They press against you and prevent your freedom.  Constrictions include; fears, doubts, shame, guilt, worry, insecurities etc   Once you face these constrictions, you’ll be able to operate in autonomy. Your happiness and freedom will no longer be tied down to other people or activities.  Because you are the source of everything you experience.   Blackout.  This is a time when magnetic energy frequencies begin to lift the sediment of things that you have hidden away from your consciousness and society.  A blackout experience is an opportunity to figure out how to stop reacting to everything, and instead, pull deeper into love, acceptance and understanding.    Everything we achieve in life is based on getting acknowledged, noticed, heard, seen, appreciated, valued etc. The black out experience is about learning to break out from this culture.  Instead of hustling and operating under the fear of lacking something, and motivation to get somewhere, you should instead, see yourself as aligned and magnetically drawing everything you need towards you.    The trajectory for success is through cooperation, communication, engagement and authenticity.   If you can apply these principles, then you will be able to come out on the other side as a success.     Why don’t people embrace the Blackout experience then? Because we are naturally designed to be safe.  We are all egocentric control freaks as a result of the system we’ve been programmed to live in.  The key to breaking free is enhancing your spiritual immunity instead of safety.    The Law of Duality  There’s different polarities that are present in our planet.  These polarities are acknowledged by a certain group of people or by an individual more than in other groups or individuals.  We have all, as result, created a very dualistic way of viewing life. Duality has become a tool to understand reality, which of course, is all wrong.  For example, the idea of what’s right or wrong is different in every society, subjective to their belief systems and environment.  Because of this duality, we are stuck in the past and forget that we are changing.  The reality of consciousness isn’t anything that’s dual or solid, rather it’s something that is fluid and transformable. Because the system is ever changing and evolving. Once you accept this reality, then you can be synergetic. You will be liberated from all the attachments, labels, ideas and conditions that have been forced on you subconsciously.    We live in an illogical world.  Your brain operates on frequencies and energy.  If we lived in a logical world, then you would be given the ability to be loved unconditionally, truly express yourself as things happen in your life and maintain your biological system in a functional way.  But because we don’t. Then you do neither of these things.    Being logical means that you know you are free to communicate and operate in intelligence that gives you input, responding to what you want to express.    But because we live in an illogical world, you cannot do all of the above.  So your brain finds a way to compensate for the lack of logic in your environment. It then functions based on protecting you and helping you get what you want.  To be free, means you are possibility driven and open to all ideas.  A wise person is one who can see and consider the diverse options that are at his disposal.   Connect with Shaman Durek  Website - https://shamandurek.com/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ShamanDurek Twitter - https://twitter.com/ShamanDurek Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/shamandurek/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCvuqLo-Lk6iCp4Q6inOb5Q Amazon - https://amzn.to/2VVZVRU   Connect with Doug Instagram: @dougbopst Facebook: Doug Bopst Website: www.dougbopst.com/gift   More on Earth Echo Foods/Cacao Bliss: www.earthechofoods.com/dougbopst Use Promo code "Doug" at checkout to receive 15% off your order   Learn more about your ad choices. Sara Kuburic - Saving Millennials Through Modern Day Therapy

Sara Kubric: Saving Millennials through Modern Therapy Techniques.   I’m honoured to host Sara Kuburic as the guest on our show today. Sara is a Canadian certified counsellor and a trauma informed clinician. She has a person-centred approach that’s grounded in existential analysis as well as semantic and experiential techniques. She specializes in areas of trauma & abuse, identity relationships with self & others, life transitions, and anxiety. The Millennial Therapist: Sara’s unique and modern approach to healing. When starting out as a young clinician or student in grad school, you’re presented with a diverse range of therapeutic modalities. This can tend to be overwhelming when making your selection. Sara decided to pick a modality that resonates with her personality and character. Based on this criterion, Sara involves her clients in open, honest and genuine conversations with her patients, all of which leads to an effective growth and healing journey. Having initially started off with Neuroscience, Sara found herself switching to an existential approach after stumbling across a patient whose treatment involved performing an existential analysis.   Sara’s modern approach to Psychotherapy In today’s society, instant gratification has led to the striving and application of quick solutions and coping mechanisms to deal with our problems. That is why so many therapists also pick modalities that cater for quick results, and end up ignoring the deep-rooted issues that need to be solved. In contrast to this, Sarah preaches for and practices awareness and honesty as an effective therapy strategy. Growth is sometimes characterised by pain and discomfort, and so it’s counterproductive when so many modern therapists try to make their clients feel as comfortable as they can throughout the entire therapy session. This only serves to limit their growth.   People pleasing. Having grown to be such a big cultural aspect of our society, people pleasing is an attribute that’s been happening for ages.   Sara describes pleasing people as the act of trying to get the approval of other people, regardless of the sacrifice that you have to make in order to accomplish your goal. As a society, we tend to applaud people for placing other people’s needs before their own and criticize the ones that put themselves first.  Self-care is now seen as being selfish. Essentially, the things that we yearn to do in order to gain other people’s approval are things that we can’t always, but partially offer ourselves.   Gaslighting. Being aware that you’re a victim of gaslighting is an incredibly difficult feat. Gas lighting is a relationship phenomenon characterised by toxic manipulation of the victim. It’s so complex to an extent that the victim has a really hard time to connect to themselves and reality. It’s psychological abuse, that leads to the victim going through detrimental suffering, and more often than not, isolating themselves from everyone too.   Setting healthy boundaries. Unlike the popular belief in so many cultures, setting boundaries with your friends and family, is not an ultimatum or control mechanism. Rather, it’s a request to other people to be more empathetic while still protecting our needs, and nurturing our connection with other people. Boundaries are different for everyone and we should feel confident when setting them. Never be afraid to give your honest thoughts and opinions about how other people’s actions, behaviours, and opinions impact us. Inner child. The concept defines re-enactments that we do as adults in relation to our childhood experiences. These acts are triggered by needs that were never fulfilled when you were growing up as a kid. Inner child can sometimes manifest in the form of tantrums. So, whilst we try to fulfil these needs in our adult life, we do so without realizing that we’re doing so in an unproductive or harmful way. Sometimes there’s the beautiful inner child. This is where our intuition, creativity, and playfulness stems from. Thus, as much as the inner child can be harmful, we can learn how to decipher between the productive and unproductive inner child for a happier life.   The Shame tagged with seeking therapy Unlike being able to spot a physiological defect within your body such as a broken arm, it’s difficult to pinpoint what you lack when it comes to therapy. So, most people end up concluding that they’re broken. And this induces a lot of shame. To change this mentality, we can accept our flaws and own the fact that we need help, this way, we flip the conversation from therapy to self-growth and development. Be sure to tune into the show, and grow from insights provided by Sara Kuburic, including how you can use fitness & nutrition as guidelines for a healthy mind, and why humour is one of the best tools to calm a troubled mind.   Connect with Sara Kuburic Website - https://www.sara-kuburic.com/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/sarakuburic/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/millennial.therapist   Connect with Doug Instagram: @dougbopst Facebook: Doug Bopst Website: www.dougbopst.com/gift   More on Earth Echo Foods/Cacao Bliss: www.earthechofoods.com/dougbopst Use Promo code "Doug" at checkout to receive 15% off your order     Learn more about your ad choices. Chris Hogan - The Power of Positivity, Support and Relationships

A lot of you probably know today’s guest as a top and highly sought after motivational speaker on leadership, finance and family.    Joining me on today’s show is Chris Hogan. Chris gives us a backstory of where his passion to help people comes from, and how he’s overcome obstacles in his life to be the inspirational figure he is today. Chris Hogan is a two-time #1 national best-selling author, financial expert and host of The Chris Hogan Show. For more than a decade, Hogan has served at Ramsey Solutions, equipping and challenging people to take control of their money and reach their financial goals.    His second book, Everyday Millionaires: How Ordinary People Built Extraordinary Wealth—And How You Can Too, is based on the largest study of millionaires ever conducted   Growing up with a single mom Despite his dad not being around, Chris grew up with a lot of family members and mentors, all of whom believed in his abilities. From his upbringing and environment, Chris was able to pick up on what inspired him and mould a character from it.   Growth and Mindset Growing to be a better person comes down to one thing. Your heart. You’ll never grow because someone has asked or told you to. You’ll never grow because of something you’ve seen.  You’ll only grow once you decide to look into your heart and make the decision to change for better.  Thus, growth is an internal decision. And the beauty of it, is that it’s not a one time decision. It’s an everyday decision that we have to make. A decision about how we feel about ourselves and how we view others.  And although there’s nothing wrong with glancing back every once in a while to see how far we’ve come, it’s important to always focus on the future. We’ve got more ahead of us than that’s ever been behind us.  Remember to also spend time around supportive people who believe in you and encourage you to reach for your success. Isolating will only lead to a downward spiral of constant backsliding.    Servant Leadership The corporate mainstream has a culture of people at the bottom doing things in order to accomplish what people the top need accomplished.  Servant leadership flips this triangle around. The focus shifts to the people at the bottom. The top level individuals focus on how and what to do to make life easier and better for the ones at the bottom. This kind of mentality, according to Chris, causes leaders to step outside of their title and start looking at people for what they truly are, and that’s people. Ultimately, it’s less about what you do and more about what you do to benefit others. You’re looking for ways to serve and encourage other people through their life journeys.   The power of your inner circle. You think and become like the people you spend your time with. And this is something you should be mindful about. It’s common to have friends who are negative or make you feel uncomfortable, and the key here is to make a choice of not letting them influence you. It’s all about constantly being proactive in deciding what you want to focus on. Take in the good stuff and filter the bad out.   How Chris conquered his biggest adversity Chris’ youngest son was at 2 years, diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. It was gut wrenching for Chris. No matter how much he tried to be positive, it was extremely difficult and painful for Chris to walk through and acknowledge this reality.  One of Chris’ biggest regrets in life is how he chose to handle that problem. For the first 1 and a half years, Chris chose to isolate to himself and his problems. Eventually though, Chris made the decision to understand and learn about the disease his son had, and with the knowledge, cam awareness. It’s through awareness that we can make life changing decisions from our hearts. In conclusion, it’s important to acknowledge that none of us is perfect. But we are indeed perfectly capable of making improvements.  The most important thing in the self-development process is to identify the areas that you need improvement and begin taking action towards it.  Be willing to forgive yourself for the sake of growth and seek constant guidance from experts in the areas you need improvement. And last but not least, remember to keep a close company to friends and family who support and believe in you.   Connect with Chris Hogan Website - https://www.chrishogan360.com/  Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/chrishogan360 Twitter - https://twitter.com/chrishogan360 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrishogan360/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/user/ChrisHogan360   Connect with Doug Instagram: @dougbopst Facebook: Doug Bopst Website: www.dougbopst.com/gift   More on Earth Echo Foods/Cacao Bliss: www.earthechofoods.com/dougbopst Use Promo code "Doug" at checkout to receive 15% off your order   Learn more about your ad choices. Jill Coleman - Changing Your Lifestyle and Purpose Through Mindset

Jill Coleman Changing Your lifestyle, Purpose and Direction Through Mindset.    Joining me on the show today is Jill Coleman, an established mindset, lifestyle and nutrition coach. In the show  we cover Jill’s journey into the health and fitness industry, building her business brand and how she overcame the heartbreak and self-distraction after her divorce.   Jill’s life path into Nutrition, Health and Fitness. Having played sports throughout her school years, Jill found herself on the losing side every once in a while. She not only got used to the feeling of defeat, but also found a way of getting over it and building a character and personality of resilience.  Passionate about the health and fitness niche, Jill taught her first group fitness class when she was just 16. In school, Jill was always into sports and athletics; from triathlons to avalons and marathons. But dancing was her biggest love. With time, Jill found herself hooked to the transformative power that healthy eating and exercise had in  changing a person’s physical outlook. This led her into winning a figure competition after losing a whopping 20 pounds.  What young Jill wasn’t aware of at the time, was the post competition blues. With numerous compliments, approvals and affirmations being sent her way after the win, Jill got used to her new environment only to find herself gaining 15 pounds in only 2 weeks.  What would follow was a 6 year roller coaster of losing and gaining 20-30 pounds every year.  Confused and depressed, Jill finally decided to make a stand and re-focus her attention into blogging as a way of curbing the need to have a perfect body.  She found her bliss through blogging everyday for 2 years and creating a nutritional philosophy of eating the same meal all year round.   It’s all about your Mindset. A lot of people get into exercise and diet for the wrong reasons.  They don’t really know what they want. This has caused an epidemic of people obsessed with having the perfect body through over-exercising and wrong dieting.  Instead of being happy and grateful for achieving their goals, a lot of people only feel relief and the need to accomplish more goals. Social media has only magnified this through the constant portrayal of fitness junkies, as the perfect reflection of what success and happiness is.  Jill was a victim of this loop, but after shifting her attention and sense of purpose into her newly established business, she was able to pull through. As a mindset coach, Jill advises us to focus more on the process of achieving our goals, rather than the end result. It’s through this that we can accomplish much more than we had set out to.  Having battled through her own setbacks and adversities in exercise and business, Jill points out 3 tips to help us succeed in our business endeavors.  Consistency. People who dive into businesses and careers driven by a sense of urgency to make money only end up burnt and stressed out. Build a strong foundation of passion where you’re constantly driven to pursue excellence through practice and consistency.  Focus on the quality of the value you’re giving. Quantity begets Quality. With enough practice, anyone can become a pro in any business venture. Pull back the curtain and share your own struggles. This is a trust building formula of connecting with your audience. Being open and honest about your past and current struggles will help you bond with your audience at a personal level.   How Jill Navigated through her marital infidelity.  Having been married for more than 10 years. It was heart-breaking for Jill to find out her husband was having an affair.  Jill plunged in helplessness and self-worth doubt when she discovered this. What followed was a destructive path of drinking, dating and working overtime to numb the pain.  Jill felt wronged, in pain and confused.  As much as she was justified to play the victim and point the finger, Jill decided otherwise and was able to transition through personal development and owning up.  Despite being in such a hard spot, she always believed in herself and the power to overcome the emotional wreck she had become. Jill was able to embrace and move past her marriage and divorce to her ex-husband.    Connect with Jill Website - http://jillfit.com/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/JillFit/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/jillfit/ Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/id1336223187 Connect with Doug Instagram: @dougbopst Facebook: Doug Bopst Website: www.dougbopst.com/gift Learn more about your ad choices. Damon West - From Life in Prison to Becoming a Coffee Bean

This story is one of the most inspiring you will EVER hear. Sentenced to sixty-five years in a Texas prison, Damon West once had it all. Damon West, M.S. Criminal Justice, is a college professor, nationally known keynote speaker and best-selling author (with best-selling author and motivational speaker Jon Gordon) of The Coffee Bean: A simple Lesson to Create Positive Change. His first book and autobiography, The Change Agent: How a Former College QB Sentenced to Life in Prison Transformed His World, was published just three years after his release from a Texas maximum-security prison. At 20 years old, he was a Division 1 starting quarterback at the University of North Texas, when he suffered a career ending injury. He turned to hard core drugs to cope with disappointments of life. After graduation, he worked in the United States Congress, was a national fundraiser on a U.S. Presidential campaign and eventually trained to be a stock-broker for United Bank of Switzerland (UBS). One day at UBS, he was introduced to methamphetamines; he became instantly hooked—and the lives of so many innocent people would forever be changed by the choices he made in order to feed his insatiable meth habit. After a fateful discussion during his incarceration with a seasoned convict, Damon had a spiritual awakening. He learned that, like a coffee bean changing with the application of heat and pressure, he was capable of changing the environment around him. Armed with a program of recovery, a renewed faith, and a miraculous second chance at life, Damon emerged from over seven years of prison a changed man. His story of redemption, grit and determination continues to inspire audiences today. Today, Damon lives a life of recovery and service, going to meetings and sharing his story all over the country with schools, church's, athletic teams, corporations, conferences and inside correctional facilities. Over the past few years, he has been sharing the Coffee Bean lesson with dozens of college football teams such as Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas, and countless schools and businesses. His #BeACoffeeBean message has inspired thousands from Walmart to the NBA. Damon’s message connects with audiences on a level rarely before seen, as evidenced by the lengthy and thought-provoking Q&A following each presentation. His ability to articulate his story is proof that sometimes they lock-up the right person. Damon’s story has been featured both nationally and globally. His second book, The Coffee Bean, co-authored with best-selling author Jon Gordon, became an instant best-seller and a part of Forbes’ “Top Twenty Books You Need to Read to Crush 2020.” Damon is passionate about the Coffee Bean message and loves sharing how it changed his life and how it can change yours, too. He is excited about the Coffee Bean Clubs that are being started by students at schools across the country. David Sinclair - Modifying Our Lifestyle to Reverse Aging

Dr. David Sinclair: Modifying Our Lifestyle to Reverse Aging    Today I’m incredibly honored to host Dr. David Sinclair.  David is a professor in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School. He’s the author of New York’s Times best-seller Lifespan, a book with insights on why we age, and how we can slow and even reverse aging. A top innovator, David was in 2014, named on Time Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World, and listed as Time's Top 50 in healthcare in 2018. David’s inspiration growing up David grew up with his grandmother, who was a constant believer in his abilities and always motivated him to set and shoot for his life-goals and he will always achieve them.  In an unfair world filled with cruel and mischievous people, David’s grandmother always reminded him to be grateful and generous where he could. To always do whatever he can to make the world a better place than it is. David owes a lot of current success and grit to this background and claims that every no one needs a positive environment of someone who believes in them, and they too can set to achieve greatness. Hormesis: Using exercise and healthy eating to fight aging. Being a trained geneticist, you’d think that David would vouch for DNA as the major contributing factor for your health and wellness destiny. But oh no, the key to this, David says is the epigenome  The epigenome is the real powerhouse and determinant of our lifestyle i.e how much we sleep, mental stress, physical fitness etc.  A study on identical twins held in Denmark supports this claim, with the findings suggesting that we only inherit from our parents 20% in terms of the predictability of our long-term health.   The key to better physical and mental health and ultimately slow aging, David states, is through exercise and healthy eating.  As for exercise - do anything that gets your breathing level up for at least 15 minutes Exercising triggers the longevity genes which regulate the epigenome - which is in control of how we age. Healthy eating also triggers the epigenome, resulting in similar effects.    Healthy eating and numerous benefits of fasting.  It’s no surprise that what we eat is a big contributor of how our health turns out to be. However, what always seems to be left out, is how to eat.   Having 3 meals a day and zero exercise has a reverse effect on your mind.Your brain loves being relaxed - just sitting down and having snacks is all you need -  By giving in to this kind of lifestyle, you’re sacrificing your body’s ability to fight diseases and aging. Because your body gets the message from the brain that it’s very safe and there’s plenty of security and food to eat. So you relax, and the defense modes switch off. It’s for this reason that obese people who don’t exercise, not only look older, but are actually older.    Fasting triggers the longevity genes as well. Through fasting, the body is tricked into thinking there isn’t enough resources to live on. Amino acids are also restricted and the epigenome is activated too.   Types of foods David suggests you should take when fasting. You don’t want foods with a lot of sugar - as they make you get hungry faster Don’t be too rough on yourself - one milkshake isn’t bad (as long as you’re consistent) Best meal for him is a salad with a bit of olive oil on it or vinegar Protein is good in small amounts.  Green leafy vegetables and practice Hormesis i.e If your plants are stressed before you eat them you get the benefit. So you don’t have to do it yourself. You can eat plants; That have grown without much rain or water in the environment. With bugs on them   Dr. David Sinclair’s Adversity - Growing from the failures and setbacks he’s been through   There’s no way to be successful without massive amounts of adversity, criticisms, failures and mistakes, claims David. We don’t have all the answers, and aren’t perfect either.   Failure is part of the journey. And as David shares his lowest point in life, he certainly owes a lot of his current progress and success as a result of embracing and his setbacks and learning from them. David saw his mom die in front of him, which was of course, a big blow to him, both emotionally and psychologically. But it’s the career setback he really digs into and narrates on the show. Close to the tip of being sacked and losing his reputation (which for scientists is everything) A 41 year old David was completely battered, beaten and destroyed.   When he was 34 years old, David and his team had just uncovered a huge biological milestone through a breakthrough which seemed too easy and good to be true. And so they patented it. 7 years down the line. David would face so much criticism from journalists and scientists, all of whom claimed that everything he had published on his breakthrough was false. And so the company that he had invested so much in, and received millions of dollars in donations for clinical trials was a hoodwink and based on lies.   About half of David’s lab staff abandoned him, deeming his career over. All David could wonder was how it could all go soo wrong. How could it be that the very world he was trying to save, is now punching him in the face? There was nothing more to do. So he went to bed every night sad and depressed.  As time went by though, David decided not to quit. He decided he would put on a fight and prove all his doubters and critics wrong with proof and data. 3 years later, and with the help of the loyal staff that remained, David solved the problem that had resulted in so many individuals misunderstanding and attacking his professional achievements.  Having published his findings in 2013, this put Dr. David and his team back on track into achieving the great  things they had set out to when they started.   Don’t quit mentality Now 50, David knows that it never gets easier and the setbacks never stop. But for him, winners are the ones who decide to get back up as fast as possible and handle all the blocks and obstacles that are a normal part of life. Even till date, David still faces criticisms and hindrances from his colleagues, donors, newspaper and, and university. But now older, that he was, he’s wise enough to know that the challenges never get easier or end, you only get better and tougher.   David’s thinking pattern is that humanity is in all these together. We’re all trying to work out and solve life’s big problems and challenges. And, so we must work together. This line of thought  has landed him into bad relationships with many scientists who try to remain as secretive as possible in matters regarding their research and findings.    In conclusion, David advises us to always have goals in our lives. When you’re low and in depression, and still lacking in goals, dreams and aspirations to look forward to. Then life hits you even harder. So set a goal, go for it, and don’t stop or give up on it until you get there!   Connect with Dr. David Sinclair  Website - https://lifespanbook.com/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/davidasinclair LinkedIn -  https://www.linkedin.com/in/sinclairda/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/davidsinclairphd/?hl=en Lifespan on Amazon - https://amzn.to/2BFribo Connect with Doug Instagram: @dougbopst Facebook: Doug Bopst Website: www.dougbopst.com/gift More on Earth Echo Foods/Cacao Bliss: www.earthechofoods.com/dougbopst Use Promo code "Doug" at checkout to receive 15% off your order     Learn more about your ad choices. Danette May - Stepping Into Self love Through Healing

Today I sit down with holistic healing health icon Danette May. We spoke about her journey, the power of forgiveness, nutrition and all things adversity. Danette is the founder of Mindful Health LLC, Earth Echo Foods and The Rise movement. She is a world-renowned motivational speaker, author of The Rise and other health and women's empowerment books, former celebrity fitness trainer, wife, and mother.  Since 2011, she has helped transform the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual lives of millions of people around the world by focusing on healing foods, healing movement, and a healing mind. Dean Graziosi - Using the Underdog Mindset to Overcome Life's Challenges

My guest on the show today is the legendary Dean Graziosi. Serial entrepreneur, multiple New York Times best selling author and all round great guy.  Our main theme of discussion today is being the beacon of light and hope in the current pandemic ridden times.  Having experienced 4 downmarkets himself, Dean understands that it’s completely normal and human to feel insecure and worried over what tomorrow brings.  But instead of focusing on the negative side of the pandemic, we should focus on the bright side. So many individuals have always wanted extra time to work on their lives and start that new online business or learn that new skill, the funny part about all of these, is that so many of these individuals are either stuck on their seats stressing over what’s on the news, or aimlessly giving in to their impulses to drink and eat heavily.  Just like the last recession and the great depression, this too shall pass. And the question that we should all reflect on, is what kind of person we’re going to be on the other side. Will you have: Gained extra capabilities and made something good out of the opportunities that are sprouting as a result of the pandemic Or  Remain dormant & pessimistic, and be the one to miss it all when it’s all over Everyone right now, starting from our close friends and family members, are in dire need of leadership, inspiration and a role model to look up to. They need you to step up and be the one to guide them through this tough, unfamiliar territory. So that when it’s all over, they’ll look back and remember that you’re the one who took the initiative to be creative and innovative, creating a safe haven for them when everything was going to hell. If history is anything to go by, out of the ashes of the fire that’s burning, new industries and businesses will arise and strive. There’ll certainly be more wealthy people made out of this pandemic too. A close friend of Dean recently told him a story of two restaurants quarter a mile apart from each other that had to shut down as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.  While one of the owners got extremely mad and began pointing fingers and blaming everyone; from China, to the government and the president. The owners of the other restaurant took to restructuring their restaurant the weekend that they were closed. They made it in such a way that the cooks could cook in different distanced places. Later on they made a shelter for a drive through so that customers could pull in and place their orders. Right now, one restaurant is still shut down, with a bitter and mad owner. The other restaurant business on the other hand is making 3 times the amount of sales and profits that they’ve ever made in their entire life. 5 years from now, one owner will complain that his business was thriving until Covid-19 shut him down, while the other wonder will testify that his business was doing ok until Covid-19 came along and now he owns 6 restaurants.  While one individual focused on finding a solution and innovating his way through the obstacles brought by the pandemic, the other one focused and obsessed on who moved his cheese, and demanding it back. All the massively successful individuals in our modern times and history, lacked resources They lacked resources, but learned to be massively resourceful.  A lot of individuals claim that what’s holding them back from success is lack of financial resources, supportive family members, better staff etc. But the sad and simple truth is that what they truly lack is resourcefulness.  In life, you should learn to embrace the struggles that you go through. All of your setbacks, failures, and challenges are just setting you up for your greatest comeback! The underdog lifestyle that you’re going through is a gift to help you get through and navigate new territories and be bulletproof. All it takes is changing your mindset and looking at things from a different angle. Learn to make your disadvantages, critics, and the power of being resourceful over having resources as the fuel to drive you into success.  A lot of people see Dean and praise him for being so lucky to have come so far and achieved so much.  They see him in great shape and thank his genetics. They see what a wonderful wife and disciplined kids and count him as the luckiest family man.  What they don’t see however is him waking up at 5 in the morning to exercise in the gym  How he worked on himself and saw a coach in order to change who he was and attract the right life partner.  The several parenting books he’s read and counsellor he’s seen for 3 years in order to be a great dad.  A lot of our subconscious tend to protect us from this reality. All we see is success, but not the determination, obsession and habits that had to be put in in order for other people’s success to manifest in their lives.  From this story. Dean encourages us to focus on how we can best use our resources to overcome and prosper in the current environment that has affected everyone and all businesses globally.  Focusing on what could go wrong and our disadvantages won’t help solve anything. Instead, we should focus on what could go right, and how we can flip the odds back to our advantage    Connect with Dean Graziosi Website - https://www.deangraziosi.com/ Facebook - https://web.facebook.com/deangraziosipage/  Twitter - https://twitter.com/deangraziosi Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/deangraziosi/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/user/deangraziosi/featured Connect with Doug Instagram: @dougbopst Facebook: Doug Bopst Website: www.dougbopst.com/gift Learn more about your ad choices.
