59. Kids Mindfulness with Maryanne Eve
Welcome to Episode 59 - Kids Mindfulness with Maryanne Eve
Its social worker chat time, and this week I'm joined by a social worker who is supporting children through Kids Mindfulness.
Maryanne Eve is a mental health social worker and private practice owner, and runs group mindfulness programs that help children to overcome challenges like anxiety.
She is also a podcaster and YouTube star, and openly shares her own story of childhood trauma and how working in the Child Protection system steered her towards social work. Maryanne also shares the trauma of surviving the King Lake Bushfires; including attending 30 funerals of family and friends.
It's an insightful, yet vulnerable chat that I'm sure you will have multiple takeaways from!

58. Man Becoming with Kyle Hamer
Welcome to Episode 58 - Man Becoming with Kyle Hamer
Mindful Men aims to inspire men to do some inwards reflecting. From who we are and how we're showing up in the world, to identifying areas within ourselves that need a bit of TLC in order for us to live authentically.
But to do this means we sometimes need to touch on some topics that many men don't care to engage with, like masculinity, manhood, patriarchy and even feminism. These concepts are often red flags for men, as they're either too radical, or put a spotlight on things we're not feeling great about.
Helping me explore these concepts is Kyle Hamer from Man Becoming.
Kyle and I have a great chat about how these concepts form into social constructs (or contracts) about how boys and men should act, feel and think and speak. We challenge some of the social constructs of what it means to be a boy and man, and how this might look different in 2023 compared to the 1980s and 1990s when we grew up.

57. Disability, Housing and Support with Perry Cross and Vitori Buatava
Welcome to Episode 57 - Disability, Housing and Support with Perry Cross and Vitori Buatava
Since 2018 I have been working in the disability sector, and through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), I've met hundreds of people with disabilities, their families, carers and support teams.
I've heard stories of heartbreak, adversity and discrimination - But also stories of triumph, hope and growth.
This week I chat with Perry Cross, a Spinal Research Ambassador, and Founding Director and CEO of Accessible Homes Australia. At 19 years old, Perry experienced a spinal cord injury playing Rugby and has since lived with quadriplegia.
Perry shares his story, including how he used his lived experience of disability to start Accessible Homes Australia, a provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
Perry is also joined by Vitori Buatava from Care Match Australia, who provide personalised care to people living with disability. Vitori shares his passion for working in the disability field, and how a collective interest in Rugby creates a team environment in Perry's care.

I'm excited for 2023, and I'm looking forward to growing the podcast, the YouTube channel and my therapy business. But I need your help!
Give the show a 5 star rating, and subscribe to the YouTube channel to help it climb the rankings and become visible to every bloke possible.

53. Intuitive Eating with Jeff Ash
Welcome to Episode 53 - Intuitive Eating with Jeff Ash
A timely episode as we celebrate the Christmas and New Year of 2022. After gorging ourselves with holiday delights, I'm sure many of us (myself included) are thinking about healthier days ahead.
This week, I'm joined by Jeff Ash. Jeff is a nutritionist, personal trainer, and Intuitive Eating coach.
Jeff takes us through the 10 principles of intuitive eating, and links it back to his own unique challenges of living in an abusive relationship, and raising children on the Autism spectrum. What I loved about this conversation was the mindfulness approach between food and our physical and mental health.

52. Putting on a Show with Rob Mills
Welcome to Episode 52 - Putting on a Show with Rob Mills
In this week's episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with a bloke that millions of Australians know as Millsy - Rob Mills.
Millsy burst onto our telly's in 2003 on Australian Idol, and since then he has starred in TV shows like Neighbours and Dancing with the Stars, whilst also performing in musical theatre on shows Wicked, Grease and Hairspray (just to name a few!).
But Millsy is also an author, and his book Putting On A Show – Manhood, Mates and Mental Health explores what it means to be an Aussie bloke. We sit down and talk all things manhood, mates and mental health.

This week I'm joined by Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) Gabby Prosser from Hope and Healing.
