S1 Ep45: Religion, Culture on Sexual Practices with Dr. Sameena Rahman
The impact of religion and culture on sexual function…and dysfunction is fascinating and complex. In this episode I am joined by Dr. Seemena Rahman, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ob-Gyn at Northwestern University and one of the few experts in the study of the impact of religion on sexual function. Dr. Rahman published a pivotal scientific paper in Sexual Medicine Reviews about female sexual dysfunction among Muslin women

The impact of colonialism on sexual expression in the Muslim world
In general, the impact of religion on sexuality
If religious women tend to have more sex, or less sex
The impact of maintaining virginity prior to marriage on sexual satisfaction later in life
Religions that emphasize that female pleasure is as important as male pleasure
If the timing of intercourse is dictated in religions other than Judaism
Buddhism and sexual practices
The attitude of various religions on oral sex, anal sex, and masturbation?
Religious attitudes towards post menopause sex when reproduction is no longer possible
If pleasure or reproduction is emphasized in most religions
Sexual dysfunction and sexual abuse in Muslim women
If observant women get better care from a doctor who is the same religion

S1 Ep35: Compounding Hormones: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
It used to be that the term “bioidentical hormone therapy” referred exclusively to compounded hormone products. In this episode, Dr. Streicher discusses:
The following common MISCONCEPTIONS about compounded hormones:
Misconception #1 Compounded hormones are NATURAL but all commercial hormones are synthetic or made of horse urine
Misconception #2 The estrogen in compounded hormones is DIFFERENT from the estrogen in commercial pharmaceutical products
Misconception #3 Compounded hormones are SAFER than commercial hormones
Misconception #4 Compounded PROGESTERONE will PROTECT your uterine lining
Misconception #5 Compounded hormones undergo the same QUALITY CONTROL as commercial products
Misconception #6 Compounded HT is CUSTOMIZED based on your hormone levels
Misconception #7 PRESCRIBERS of compounded hormones are hormone experts
The Problem with PELLETS
When it is OK to prescribe a compounded hormone
