Since 2010, the relationship company Match has enlisted the help of experts from the Kinsey Institute of Sexual Research to conduct and publish a scientific study on the attitudes and behaviors of single people in the United States. Today, my guest is Dr. Justin Garcia, the Executive Director of The Kinsey Institute, and the Scientific Advisor to Match. He’s the scientist who knows the secrets of why people fall into relationships, and if online dating has salvaged or… sabotaged the whole process.

Professor Garcia has a dual faculty appointment with the Kinsey Institute and the Department of Gender Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington. He is also Co-Chair of the Interdepartmental Graduate Committee on Human Sexuality. Since 2010, Garcia serves as Scientific Advisor to the relationship company Match. In this role, Garcia provides expertise to Singles in America (SIA), the online dating company's annual study on the attitudes and behaviors of single people in the United States.
