Ep 11 Archeologists, Artists, & Architects

In the episode the crew is wrestling with a concept that would end up leading to the subtitle of the Brave Cities book. Like all of these episode, they are grey pages because in them we are actively exploring the ideas rather than just reporting on some finding. This episode explicitly uses the image of a beaker that we are putting different ingredients into as an experiment and it serves as a good reminder for all of us that this is the intended posture of each and every one of these conversations.

Ep 8 The Four Orthos W/ East Side Chuck

In this episode the crew is joined by Dr Chalie Foltz of The Good Hood in San Antonio TX. The episode opens with him sharing a bit of his incredible journey from volunteering as a mentor at a local school to an incredible ecosystem and organization that he now serves. After he shares, the team began reacting and sharing their thoughts that emerged as he told his story. Jon shared a kind of addition to the 'orthodoxy, orthopraxy, orthopathos' framework that he has been thinking about for a few years. It's a term that has only seemed to come up in medical terminology, but one which Jon believes to be an unlock to the other three. This idea led them into quite the exploration of the idea and eventually, they all agreed, should become the title of the episode. We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we enjoyed having it!
